  1. Hi Mee Wan and welcome to the Lexus Owners Club. We are an international group with Club members around the globe. This group is the North American Group. We feel we are a group of Lexus lovers who like talking about all types of models. Also, we pride ourselves in being able to help members with technical items. There are members in Canada but at this point I don't have their email address's in front of me. It's interesting to read about the difference in the Canada models vs. USA. For now, we do not have a list of any clubs or the cities they are in. Try calling the Lexus dealer's in your area. Many dealers support a local club. Paul
  2. The right tire can make a world of difference. I have used the Michelin Primacy MXM4 for my last two ES350's. They have always been popular with ES 350 owners. They smooth out the ride and reduce the road noise. They are not cheap, but many dealer's will swap out the new tires from the factory and put on the other brand. My dealer does this. 3. Hey sha4000, great photo of the inside door panel. It should be of great help! To Paul
  4. Just take out any religious or political referance's. Thanks.
  5. Hi Billy, Good information and pictures. The Club guidelines say that postings or threads cannot contain any content about religion or Politics. Thanks for your continued support.
  6. Hi James and welcome to the LOC for North America. We're excited about your comn tribu and tech information. Also, having more leadership availability will give all the members quicker response. I like to have all the mods email address in a distribute list for quick transfer of info.. I will send you my email address by PM or email. Do you prefer one over the other? Talk to you soon. Thanks James.
  7. Hi Pal I've been our every night during the full Moons chanting and beating my drum to bring th spirits to stop the snow. It hasn't worked. Mine is just the basic package. I have weather, two-way voice for address routes if I"m near the location and I still can't find it. Also, automatic SOS notice to Enform if there is an accident. For an additional fee you can have stocks and days markets. Also, sports. I think you can just call Lexus.com for quotes. However, since most of these features are from "XM", you may need to call them as well. Is that any help? Paull
  8. Today is the roll-out of the new LC500h in Geneva. The photo's are gorgeous. This is all I have for now, but please feel free to post information or comments. Paul https://lexusenthusiast.com/2016/03/01/photo-gallery-the-lexus-lc-500h-in-atomic-silver/
  9. Hi BJamin. I hope your having great sunny California day.W e still have snow. If you will, lets take another attempt to make your original posting and the support you were looking for come true. .I've gone back to your original posting last year, when you explained your problem and the action you wished to take. Your introduction was clear and precise. And your correct in reminding us that the law suit was all the information you wanted. So far so good. Many customers say they are unhappy about their mpg as well regardless of model,. Lexus mpg. ( our 2013 RX 350 gets 24 mpg.). I am not going to apologize for my initial thread. As I was reading your post, I was way ahead with my thread that has been helpful in these "false" mpg situations. Knowing some of the other folks that put up threads felt that by calling on their personnel experience which they felt would help you. Combing back to you topic in under a years time might have kept the topic closer to the top of mind awareness. In terms of my power, I have banned one member in 8 years. The only other posters who get flaged for future use are "Spammers". The intent of the moderators is one thing. Welcome and help all members with any reasonable need. If you fell the need to email the owner, I can send you his address in the UK. Paul
  10. Hi Jim! Good to hear from you. I have had the Enform service for several years. The package came with the new car. That first year was free. After that I am billed for a renewal. I think it's some where around $250,00. I know little about the technical side. Paul
  11. Gee, some where we got off track regarding your class action intent. Some where you got the impression that I care about your happiness.. Several threads have supported your position and others have tried to reason with you on the subject. But you and JJ have not welcomed their attempt. Now, after a year from your first posting on the topic you are expecting everyone to recognize you as the messiah of all things expert on the RX family. I and the moderators serve the needs of all 146,000 members of the club. You posted your topic and over the course of a year you have received support for those who agree. Other members have not felt the same way Since June of 2015, One would think you have run your course. Your insulting approach to some of the members and me create a hostile environment that goes against the "Forum Guidelines". This will not be tolerated. I still wish you good luck. Paul
  12. Welcome to your Lexus Owners Club. Glad your here. Your problem is the nightmare of all car owners and mechanics. Intermittent malfunction. This is the same thing as when the refrigerator starts working the day the repairman shows up.. If it is always the passenger side I would expect that it would be the headlamp or ballast. The other thing you left out was the 100,000 miles on the car. That is not a bad thing, but if you think of it from being 2007, 100,000 mile car things are bound to become a little more sensitive. The head light might be a wiring loose connector. I am not being of much help but these are other ideas. At the top, right hand side of the welcome and forums page, there is a search box in which you can search any problem you have. This search is a compilation of all the problems sorted by year, model, and specific problem. This is usually helpful since over the 15 years of Lexus experience in that data.base this usually something that sounds familiar. Paul
  13. Hi Michelle and welcome, I'm sorry that I don't have a good base of knowledge for your year and model. Also, you didn't mention if you had already had a technician look at it so I'll take a risk and give you some more information. The problem could be as simple as a blown fuse. Based upon your information that would be my place to start. Secondly, I would talk with Sewelllexus.com in Dallas about the part you think you need and they should be able to give you some help about your problem and they also take returns. Last suggestion, if you want information on replacing the part assembly, You can find any and everything at TIS.com, "Toyota Information Service". This is the official location for every thing you would need to do the replacement. It is a pay as you go service with the first two days set at $15.00' The site covers Toyota, Scion, and Lexus. If you can't find it here then you'll need to go to a dealer or a mechanic that knows Lexus. Tihis TIS site covers vertualy eery thing from wiring diagrams, Exploded parts assembly, part numbers and diagnostics. Regarding Sewell Lexus,..., for years they have given our members a discount on parts. while back I heard that they had discontinued their on line service, but I haven't had time to follow up on that.but I will as soon as possible. Please let us know if any of our feedback has been of any help.
  14. Sorry Carol. Hopefully someone will chime in with better ideas..
  15. Hi Carol and welcome. Other than what Jim said I'm not sure what else might work. But in getting out there with a possibility, You mentioned you just recently bought the car. Was the Enform product allready loaded? Did you sign-up or download the product for the first time. My point is that if your using Enform from a previous owner the account may need to be renewed. I know that's a stretch but it doesn't hurt to get out there some times. Paul
  16. Lighten up BJamin!! This is not your personal forum, nor are you required to participate in the conversation. Posting your topic in the proper forum might help asuage you tension. For example the RX forum. For the future, I'm not going to stop. Paul
  17. Hi Judy, This is my opinion, but to the best of my knowledge, the ES models used the Camry frame for several years, then around 2007, ES went to its own frame. In our garage,we have a 2013 RX,and a 2013 ES. sitting side be side. There does not appear to any way for the two cars to be on the same frame, In a nut shell, the RX will always ride stiffer than say the ES. Many different size tires, inflation pressures, and sometimes inflation pressure., that makes a difference.A few years ago I simply changed tire brands to Michlen . The tire style, size, ply speed performance. speciffied for cars like the RX. I would suggest going to "Tire Rack".com. they have many technical as well as comments on tire performance and cost. I'm not sure I'v been much help but come back and let us know how things are going. Paul
  18. 3Hi John and welcome. This pretty much describes the exact same feeling I had when I went from a 2005 ES350 to a 2010 ES350. The ride was more firm but not what I would describe as harsh. The steering was more responsive but again, not anything one would call stiff. I loved all of the new features and apps. To tell you .my self , I would not have felt anything that should have been changed Now here is the best comparison. In late 2013, I had an accident with my 2010 and it was badly damaged. (Now in today's world of crash and MPG requirmentds spendt today's word of car safety badly damaged meant around $36',000, With only a small amount of cash, I went for moving up to a 2013 ES 350.. Now here are some differences in the ES350, 2013. The ride has been softened and the steering is responsive with out making the it difficult in a stiff cross wind. Adding the blind spot monitor, the enhanced voice activation, and mobile apps, I think Lexus has made an ES with a win,win for everyone. Paul
  19. I'm not sure if there is a right answer. In order to get the 3 year's do you have to sign separate document/contract?. Most dealers try to sell additional products or services. to put more money in their pocket. If it is an extended warranty you will have to pay for it. The biggest item in this deal is which one covers the bumper to bumper as the original warranty did. It's not the oil changes or a dead battery My suggestion is to find out more about the 3 year deal. If they will give you the 3yr warranty and you don't have to pay anything, then go for it.
  20. Hi Lexuso822 ad welcome to the Lexus Owners Club. I apologize for taking so long to respond to your post. Frankly, this is the first I have heard about the change in the the CPO coverage. I have purchased a CPO car a few years back` and had no trouble getting problems taken care of. If understand your situation correctly, the willingness of the dealer, in cooperation with Lexus corp, sounds like a very fair and reasonable solution for you.. From your description, it would appear that the dealer is being up front and willing to make things right. You mention others are advising you to step back and think it over. You might take advantage of the situation to have the dealer write out what will they do, when it will be completed and specifically when and what will be included in the agreement. An example for something to be agreed upon is a free rotation of your tires. That can run between $75 - $100 . Please come back with any questions you might have and someone will try to steer you in the right direction. I'
  21. Thanks J for the reminder of this "know you see it, know you don't. It is my understanding that yet another revue of the program is coming.
  22. I apologize if you felt I was being rude or disespectful. That was and is not my intent. As I mentioned in my earliest thread, this subject comes up every now and then. It has been my experience that the owner feels as though this is a personal slight and Lexus continues to openly ignore the customers demands and the only way to resolve the gas mileage issue is to sue Lexus on the belief that by doing so the customer can get their attention. I say this based on Long trips and around town driving. In any of those drives, I have never gotten the exact same MPG on any trip. For some reason, some of you expect the the laws of physic should be suspended for you. For example during the course of any month, how many times do you drive up.hills? How many times do you go down hill? Everyday when your driving around, is the humidity and ambient air temp the same all day long.? What is the tire temperature variant during driving? You get the idea. Here is my big mouth again, but folks, when you invest in a $50-55,000 car, do you expect it to be maintained for the same price as a "Kia"? You could say YES to that. The position would be , the more expensive the car, the more perfect it should be. This is the place where finding the true villain will be hard Is Toyota trying to cheat us? would be the benefit to Lexus to consistently put out a product that intentionally gets lower results than advertised? If your intent is still to sue, I would recommend contacting your states attorney generals office for information on filing such action and does your state use the Federal "Lemon Law. Good luck with your efforts. Have a good week everyone. Paul
  23. I'm wondering if the choices for FM reception might need to be looked at. Is it set for FM Hi-Def, and what about recieving FM Text. I have no idea if those will help, but I do know that your dealer has more to do than say it don't work! Within the warranty, the need to replace the head unit to rule out that possibility. Lexus does not repair audio parts. It's all 'swap-out". If thet are unwilling to do this , get it in writing for future claims. I don't mean to sound negative, but I have seen enough of these unknown problem to know that a few dealers can be more than difficult. Paul
  24. Hi Joanie, That is a new one to me. There are some FM stations that do not send all of the label information but it's more frequent for CD publishers to not put any information on their disc. Is your problem on all bands; Satellite, FM and AM or just one? Since your IS is from 2014 I would assume it's still under warranty. If so, talk to your dealer. If not, ask around for a reputable audio shop. I know I haven't been much help, but I hope your dealer can help. Come back and let us know what you find out. Paul
  25. Sorry Becki!, Please let me know if this works. https://lexusenthusiast.com/2016/02/15/new-details-on-the-next-generation-lexus-ls/ Paul
