  1. Come to B&T Auto on Florin Rd...I'll give you a good deal. I have love for my ride and I'll treat yours the same.
  2. Maybe a clogged fuel filter or bad MAF sensor.
  3. Hook up a vacuum pump to it and apply 5lbs of pressure...it should hold pressure and idle should get rough or engine should stall.
  4. What does the PCV have to do with low power/glowing cats?
  5. The driver's side is the left pipe. Sorry I wasn't that clear earlier.
  6. Does the car track straight when you let go of the steering wheel?
  7. Is it leaking from the weep hole? Pink or brown fluid?
  8. Bank 1 is the left pipe. It shouldn't be all that difficult to remove the O2 sensor, just soak it with some WD-40. If you don't have an O2 socket then just use a good 22mm wrench. I change O2 sensors almost everyday at work and I've encountered frozen O2 sensors from time to time...!Removed! knuckles and scraped arms yeah.. but I've never had an O2 sensor break on me.
  9. Pyle isn't a very company. Take a look at Alpine or Eclipse...you'll get much better sound quality.
  10. Your fuel filter isn't going to cause you to get poor gas mileage. It's more likely that your gas mileage decrease would be because of a bad O2 sensor. The colder the air the richer your car runs = decrease in MPG.
  11. They have wireless programs with adaptors for most vehicles..it just depends on how much you're willing to spend. Take a look at the MODIS...has a lab scope, code reader, wireless capabilities, DVOM, troubleshooter and a few other things on it...I'm about to pick up this bad boy next week..I'm going to be $8k poorer.
  12. Your timing is off...maybe the tensioner wasn't on tight. Any smoke?
  13. Not sure...you want to buy online or do you need them right away? Hey, you used only hand tools to drop the tranny? How long did it take you?
  14. W1v2? It's not a hard hitting sub...12W1v2 only handles something like 150rms. JL keeps getting better and better...these subs don't suck but I think they were made more for hatchbacks or people planning on running them in 3's. Try Ebay...just look for powersellers and read the feedback. Pay through paypal and you should be safe. I have some connections down in San Jose but you'd have to tell me exactly what you want for me to get prices.
  15. Which subs are you looking for?
  16. Use a paperclip.
  17. Make sure you replace the seal if you plan on replacing the tranny. It's gonna be a bttch droppin a tranny w/o a lift. Make sure the car is up off the ground high enough so you'll be able to get the tranny out after it's down. You're doing all this without an airgun? Anything wrong with your cats now? Take a look through them to see if they are still good or not. If those cats are still good then it's probally a good idea if you picked up a set from the wrecking yard and hallowed those out instead. Just keep a set as spares.
  18. $2k is about right...it's a labor intensive job. I'd rather just drop a new motor in...it's much easier that way.
  19. Your transmission seal is gone. Just replace the seal...there's probally no need for a new tranny. It's a small seal about the diameter of a baseball...you're going to have to drop the transmission to get to it. You're gonna drop the tranny with or without a lift?
  20. Yeah, I replaced the headgasket myself. It's definitely not an easy task...there's a whole lot of parts to remove. The crack was so small that it didn't even show up on a compression test. Most Honda's also have a problem with the IACV.
  21. Has the headgasket been replaced yet? These cars are notorious for overheating and blown headgaskets...otherwise they're great cars. I had to replace the headgasket on my sisters 91 Legend w/ 140k a couple of months ago.
  22. Are you sure it's just not rubbing up against something?
  23. If you are going to replace the rotor, you might as well replace the pads at the same time. If the rotors are warped there's a good chance those pads aren't so flat either.
  24. You idle should stop surging if you spray the carb cleaner in the right spot...that's when you know you found the leak. (FYI - It's likely that a vacuum leak will cause your idle to surge)
  25. I would but my 91 doesn't have the intergrated phone...I had it in my 92 but I already sold her.
