  1. Hi all, Question for someone: Ever had the power function of the steering wheel go goofey on you? If you know this feature, when you remove the key the wheel will retract & raise up to be "out of your way" for exit/entrance of the vehicle. When you put the key back in, the wheel should reset to the previous position (tilt and distance). I have recently been experiencing a lot of the time when you take the key out the wheel it will maybe move up or in just a smidge sometimes, and others a bit more, and sometimes the way it's suppose to. Same goes for getting in. When the key gets inserted the wheel sometimes does not tilt or go to the preset position. If i hit the door panel preset button, it glides into place. Any thoughts? Thanks !!
  2. My 2 cents: After having buying a brand new chevy tahoe for $35K in 1997 I moved in to the Lexus LS 400 in 2001 and have not looked back. Nothing but problems with the tahoe (good thing for the factory warranty). I bought my 400 used (it too was a 97 but bought it in 01) and am pleased as punch with it all. Even a few minor issues but NOTHING like the tahoe. I have never had a problem with my 400 (knock on wood & my head) and am stiill to this day impressed with the ride & comfort of an almost 10 year old vehicle. I wouldn't know what other lexus to get if i got another. Anyway, I am a "triple L" (no, not loser).... a Loyal Lexus Lover. Seriously, anyone considering a Lexus can't go wrong. Thats just my 2 cents (any change coming my way?......)
  3. I think it was me not being smart - not you not being clear. I should know that kind of stuff but hey - if i did - i'd know how to fix this stuff without asking Thanks for your help!
  4. O.K. thanks! Left pipe... Um, is that drivers the side - or the passengers side?
  5. Oooops! P.S. I looked at the page for lexls info but was wondering about how many and where the others (if any) are? Also, if these ARE original - do i run a risk of "breaking" them during the uninstall you think? My dumb luck is that as i put that extra "muscle" into trying to get them unscrewed, something would 'snap' and then I'D be screwed? Thanks again...
  6. Hello all - newbie here. What a great forum! after cruising around it there is a wealth of knowledge and friendly advice. Hope I could get a little info on this question/problem... "check engine" light came on a little bit ago. After having it "tested" the codes came back as follows: DTC Pending (Codes) PO135 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction ( Bank 1 Sensor 1 ) So, it appears that I have a bad 02 sensor - somewhere? Would someone know where to look/find this bad boy? Are there more than 1 of these that could be causing this indicator? How to replace it? The dealer wanted almost $100 just to TELL me how much more it will cost to fix it - and even then they said it could be all 3 of them (are there 3 - or more??) and then the tab goes from $400 to $800 :o Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have had my 97 LS400 for about 4 years now - just turned 100K and I have not had any problems with her. BEST car I have ever owned! Thanks all!!!
