  1. For a generic code reader : http://www.obd2allinone.com/google.asp?yid=obd2+code+reader. If you're going to spend 700 on a scan-tool, you might as well buy a used Snap-On mt2500 scanner.
  2. Is the P/S cap in good condition? Tight or loose fit?
  3. Haha. That motor has some potential!! Let me guide you to become a boost junky!. I bet your wife/gf/bf is rolling eye's right now huh? Probably like damn, is it me or that stupid car. "Does she keep you warm". Ask me how I know. Yes, she keeps me warm.....everytime she squeals bcuz I put my foot down (gas pedal). Hahahha.
  4. I'd minus hacking into those wires. Just find the harness and keep it clean....unless you're planning on making that a competition system.

  7. Can't go wrong with a G35. I love that car.
  8. Howcome they couldn't re-spray the wheels? Was the rim cracked?

  12. Can you take a picture of the leak? No, the starter doesn't have oil in it.
  13. I'd have to agree with jzz30...you gotta boost it. Adding boost is a mandatory mod.
  14. I doubt that they'll leak much air...if any at all. I mean, the tires are going to make a very tight seal once mounted. Plus, rubber is pliable and it should contour to the rims uneven surface. I just think that the chrome layering used to coat rims are so thin that it wouldn't really matter.
  15. Damn, I envy you. How'd you get the mounting plate so perfect? Was it custom? I've heard that you can get the carputer to display/monitor air fuel ratios/boost and engine sensors.....is that true?

  17. I6 BMW's are damn reliable. It seems that ppl think BMW's aren't reliable. Yes, a few models have electrical problems...but hey, Lexus' have the same quirks. If I were you, I'd go with an e39 530i.
  18. Haha. Without my consent?!?! Damn her!
  19. Your friend is right. Either you replace your pulleys or flywheel...not both. Your crank is a balanced bottom end. Reducing weight on both ends would throw off the factory balance terribly. Yes, match revving would be quicker but the con's far out weigh the pro's...unless your car is seeing auto-x. Honestly, for a daily driven car....a lightweight fly is a !Removed! to drive. Ask me how I know (gear lash). I'd save that money and invest in something that you'll really feel/enjoy.
  20. Just to clear things up. A bad injector O-ring would actually result in additional, un-metered air to be "sucked" in through the gasket....not "shot out". Your motor is really "sucking" not "shooting". "Shooting" would be considered anything after the exhaust manifold.
  21. Do you get air coming through at cruising speeds regardless of the position of the button? If yes, somethings messed up. Your climate control system isn't working properly. You're confusing me. Based on what I understand, you only get un-wanted air at cruise speeds...not at idle. So I would say that the actuator is defective.

  24. Yes, you should have your fenders rolled. The tool basically flattens the inner lip of your fender. Make sure that they use a heat gun to "soften" the paint prior to rolling the fenders. The paint will most likely crack if it isn't heated. Or you could just do it yourself at home with a baseball bat and a heat gun.
  25. Not very difficult but I suggest that you purchase some sort of repair manual for your car. That way you can take on future maintenance issue's and save yourself some money down the line. I'd explain it to you but it's just going to get confusing without pictures. Maybe someone on this board has a tutorial??
