  1. If you know a college student...they can get you 30% off with their ID card. 5 bills isn't much for a phone these days. The Treo was about that price when it first came out. If you want to save then just wait half a year or so. But anyways, look at how much we're paying for gas these days.
  2. What service would it be compatible with? Looks pretty badass though. It seems like Apple is taking over the entertainment business. I wouldn't be surprised if they came out with mobil electronics for cars.
  3. Japan
  4. What kind of noise does it make? Does it make a "whining" noise or does it "chatter"? At cruise speeds or only when the car isn't moving and in neutral? Does the noise go away as soon as you depress the clutch pedal?
  5. Chuck, I used to be a smog tech. Can you scan the results of the smog test and post it up. I might just be able to guide you in the correct path. I just need to see the min/max allowed and actual exhaust readings.
  6. Viking
  7. I'm at Icon Tattoo in Davis, CA right now. We'll be moving to downtown Sac next month (under the name Monster Ink). Cheap plug but check out Icontat2.com. Pictured is the main artist....I'll be up next to him in a few months. House of Pain in SJ is one of the best of that area...just amazing talent there. Where exactly r u in SJ? I lived off of McLaughin/Capital Exp. a few months ago.
  8. Bottom line is...no, you're not too young. Heck, if you had the money...even a Ferrari wouldn't be out of line. You've earned what you're able to afford. Enjoy it while you can. At least until you're paying for your kids college tution, or fiance's 2.03 carat ring. Don't ask me how I know. Maybe she's making references to your age bcuz she's impressed? ;) **I'm such a bad influence** Haha
  9. You shouldn't be able to turn the axle nut by hand. Tighten that first and see if the problem still persist.
  10. Are lights the only mod you're planning on doing for now?
  11. My wife's 2001 RX300 just started to leak too. It has 93,000 miles on it. I live around San Jose too. Looking for someone who can do the repair. I doubt if Lexus would give any kind of discount seeing the car has 93k on it already. Are you a mechanic 92Lex? 600 and a case of Heinekin sounds like a deal, especially if I can help you drink it. I was a mech/smog tech for a few years. I'm in the process of being a tattoo artist right now. If you're going to help me drink it, then you gotta help me grab the correct sockets while I'm under the car. I'm a lazy !Removed! when I drink. I hate sliding out from under the car just to grab a diff. size socket. Haha
  12. LOL. Sneaky
  13. If you plan on doin' it yourself then subscribe to TIS. It's your friend at times like this.
  14. It's only compatible with certain transmission fluids. There's some sort of warning on the side of the can.
  15. Springs
  16. Ex-auto tech/smog tech. Entrepreneur
  17. Old lady
  18. Mobil is over-rated. Kendall FTW. Expensive but oil analysis has proven this oil.
  19. Yeah, it'd be easier just to buy the complete assembly. But you can replace just the bearing/pulley. It's alomost the same price though. I'd just replace the complete assemble and save the time....for some beers.
  20. You sloudn't be able to feel any "play" in the hub. If you've kicked your hub, u might as well DIY n replace the bearing. At home diagnostic...might as well at home fix it.
  21. Why would the A/C "senor" cause such a horrific smell? Sounds like mildew to me.
  22. Hey SK, off topic...but how'd u become a mod/management? I'm just curious.
