Thought I'd try and create a thread to share the negativity of daily life and thing we dislike everyday.
(let's stay off politics and religion, plenty of other sites for them) π
I'll go first then!
Cost of living which is soaring, which I suppose is because of everything we have had thrown at us recently.
As long as I have enough dollar to run my cars and bikes then that's the important thing......I need to diet anyways π
That's what i have Seamaster Professional . Bought it new many years ago, sold it and bought it back again as have never found a better alternative so will hang onto it now
IWC make nice watches. Bought an automatic from them named Porsche Design made completely in titanium and it was great a couple of years. Then the titanium locks in the wrist band started to open and the watch was no longer precise, so asked how much to make the watch new again. More or less like Rolex they want such a horrible price that even though watches from IWC are not cheap I did not find it worth it.
My favourite watch is Omega Seamaster extremely thin and comfortable, my wife is mostly using a Rolex GMT Master but when dressing up she uses a tiny gold Omega with a black leather band. But with all the smartphones around watchmakers may have few customers left.
Right bike for wanted purpose, right equipment is better than any car. Fresh air, healthy exercise, no pollution (very little compared at least), possibility to go where cars cannot, where you can see immense beauty.
This partially why I gave up riding a motorcycle to focus on convertible sportscars in which I can drive with shorts and a tank top during Summer months.. π
I like it when I'm trimming a rose bush, grab one to place in a jar and while heading indoors the Mrs arrives from work so I hand her the rose.
Or when I come from work and the dog greets me at the door, tail all wagging-like. And the parrot says "welcome home"β¦β¦
Or when a nice breeze blows just as the grass cut chore is over and the Mrs brings out a tall glass of ice cold spring water.
Or when a new baseball cap fits my noggin just right without adjusting it.
Or I step on the bathroom scale expecting to have gained weight but the scale shows I actually lost a little.
Or when my son and I went to do the first start after an engine swap, expecting a hard to start issue but ole bessy fires right up.
Or when the lawnmover starts first pullβ¦β¦again.
Or helping out old people.
Or thanking a soldier/veteran.
Or tipping the person at the toll booth. Yes I stop and pay in cash so I can do that.
Or when the voicemail on your phone was not a robo-call and instead was a friend telling you "hello, here's my new phone number"
Or when you sneeze and a perfect stranger says "bless you".
Life is short. But smiling makes you live longer. Trouble with being dead is it lasts so long.
