ok. im not too tech savvy when it comes to spyware removal. i downloaded something that i detected had spyware on it. so i quickly deleted it, checked for spyware, did virus scan, and there's this one spyware still stuck in my computer.. "New.Net Domains"... its stuck in my computer. i checked the installed programs, and it was there so i clicked "uninstall" but it still shows up on my list! im doin a spyware run, and it still shows up even after i try removing it... any advice for a computer amateur like me? :( i want to get rid of it asap. thanks

Just don't leave the tv on a certain screen for a long time. Btw (I don't have a Wii) but I would presume there might be a "screensaver" mode on it? The Wii is very fun to play with, but be careful! Don't play it before going to work, before playing sports, or any strenuous activity because it MAY cause soreness! I regret playing the Wii once for 2 hours before I went to work! lol. I was playing boxing, and after that I had to work my job as the shuttle driver at a local dealership and boy my arms and shoulders were so sore when I drove! :( lol Btw, get NEED FOR SPEED for it and buy the wireless steering wheel! ;)

whatever they call the Flex, that is horrible gas mileage! :o I would definitely stick with my 4Runner also if i'm just going to compare it with the Flex. :) It might not be as roomy as the flex, but overall in other aspects, it defeats any Ford anyday. ;) Consider a CX-9 if anyone is lookin at the Flex. :P about the same gas mileage but it has a better design and quality than the Flex i presume

Would This Carfax Scare You Or Make You Feel Better?
denslexusgx470 replied to BimmerJustin's topic in General Chat
that looks clean to me. you know what has happened to the vehicle and the chances of future damage is less likely aside from the normal wear and tear. just watch out if its a really good priced car for a low mileage (less than 200k on a Lex is low in my opinion). i heard that if the vehicle has a pending salvage title that it takes 6 months before it is recorded to carfax. so the seller tries to get rid of it within 6 months 2 avoid the salvage title.. other than that, if the car runs great, u like it, price agreed, go for it! ;) -
in other countries and those that dont have the rails, the holes werent there in the first place. its like a spoiler, if u hav a spoiler and u remove it, the holes will always be there. have u tried lowering the suspension? i know its only the rear that goes down but you never know. giv it a try. ;)

Studying the trend of Lexus and Toyota, the GX is due for redesign for 2009. However there's no indications or hints of a redesign yet. Usually by this time of the year there should be info about the upcoming year's model. I learned about the GX 8 months before anyone knew that it was coming. :P

installing HIDs with the AFS.. good question. Lexus hasnt offered HIDs to their bigger SUVs (even with the GX) because they have the idea that they dont want to blind smaller cars on the road by installing HIDs on their bigger suvs even though HIDs are offered on Ranger Rovers, Escalades, Navigators, Cayennes, Q7s, and GL450s. <_< I'm as surprised as you also when I found out the Lx570 still doesn't offer HIDs..

there are several pros and cons with both... Rx350 Pros: better gas mileage, feels more "handy" for city use especially if you live or drive around in a more crowded city, has HIDs available if you wish, has a optional power rear door which people prefer over the Gx's sode opening door. Cons: personally the design for me how they tried to make it a crossover suv, a lot of blindspots when u drive it, due to their crossover design, no 3rd row seat option if you need it, smaller space inside compared to the GX. Gx470 Pros: more truck-like size w/o the rough ride/bounce of a truck, tows more than the Rx350, more interior space, has available 3rd row seat, better design for me at least, and has really good off-road capabilities w/o compromising the smooth ride while off-roading Cons: side opening rear door, no HIDs avail even as an option, a lot worse on gas mileage than the Rx Hope that helps!! ;)

Welcome to the forum! Lexus will definitely sell for a higher price than any Range Rover because Toyota and Lexus have a very good resale value (unless the vehicle is salvaged title). I have not personally experienced a Range Rover myself, but I know those vehicles are problematic cars. Mr friend test drove a brand new RR back a few years ago before he got his ML55 AMG and that brand new Range already had a broken a/c!! The GX also has problems of its own, don't get me wrong, but it is way less and a lot easier and cheaper to fix the minor problems that u may encounter in a used Gx than a used Range Rover. ;)

First of all Welcome and Congrats on the GX! The rubber duckie antenna you see is for the Lexus Link. The GX comes "satellite radio ready" meaning that it doesnt have satellite radio in it yet, but the stereo is designed for a satellite radio system which you need to purchase. If you find one from Vais Technology, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT. Vais Technology makes good stereo equipment which are compatible for any Lexus model (just make sure you buy the one for the GX) Any more questions, feel free to post it! ;)

What Color Gx Do You Have?
denslexusgx470 replied to denslexusgx470's topic in 10 - Present Lexus GX460
Oh wow! haha. I didnt realize that. I'll go fix it. ;) -
Very nice. Only 8 miles when you guys got it? wow. lol. (Taken while I drove a Non-PDI'd vehicle... Too bad I didnt have a camera when I drove one that actually had ZERO miles on the Odo lol)

ahh ok. I see. Well there have been stories about people importing rare vehicles, and they spend a LOT of money doing so, so I thought instead of buying a used car locally that who knows how they used it in the past, have my CRV shipped here in America.. Yes btw, I am back in California now. For good. The whole Philippine stay is a LOOOONG story. If anyone's interested, hit me up with a PM. :)
-
Well that's why I want to know the costs that i will occur in importing a car. Yes you may think like, $10k for a used one locally is better off, but to me, I'd rather go thru the hassle of importing mine, which I've had since 86 km brand new, IF the cost is around the ballpark of $10k... The used ones I find are way too much, unless they are extremely high mileage! :o So i'm executing all my possible options here! At least I've changed my mind from the Trooper to a simple CRV lol. Only because of the gas issue, but otherwise I still want that Isuzu! hehe. :) And also, I love the extra features on mine that isn't available to the U.S. CRVs of that time. hehe. But that's out of the question. :)

I know it's a big hassle to import cars, especially with going through modifications for the vehicle to pass smog and everything. But I'm just pondering on the idea, of what if I could import my Honda CRV in the Philippines, so I can use it as an extra vehicle here, that's GOOD ON GAS. I'm looking around for a beater CRV or RAV4, but I'm thinking, IF the price (everything, registration, shipping, smog, etc) of importing MY CRV is the same as buying a used vehicle, then I wouldn't mind going through the hassle if it is possible. At least I know who used my CRV. :) So my question is, if it's possible, who is the first person I should normally contact in doing this? The vehicle is fully paid in the Philippines, full records, but at different Honda dealerships though. Any suggestion is appreciated! Thanks Guys. :D

Happy Birthday Alan! What is that?? lol? I'll try it. :P

Yes. Try talking it out with the dealer. Usually something simple like that, they would fix for you with their "good will" allotment. ;)

Glad you got the problem fixed finally! ;)

Ac Shut Off After 5 Minutes On 100f High Way Driving
denslexusgx470 replied to cupertino's topic in 03 - 09 Lexus GX470
The a/c really just turns off? Maybe the compressor is just resting? Does the light stay on even though you claim that the a/c system turns off? -
Wow! That is just absurd. I can't believe what people think these days. One time I was driving the shuttle, and i was on the on-ramp for the freeway. There's 2 lanes for the on-ramp and it curves into a half circle. Anyways so there's this raised Dodge Ram right next to me (im on the right lane) so I decide to speed up to get in front of him when the two lanes merge into one lane to get on the freeway. You know what he did? He thought I was racing him! Before I knew it, I was about to swerve to the left to get on the freeway, his big damn tire was right next to my driver's door!

Fresno,CA just hit the $4.05 mark for the cheapest unleaded gas in town. :P Going to the bay area tomorrow, oh boy! Instead of renting an SUV, we're just getting a full-size car. ugh.
