  1. The dealer should be able to pull that up. ;)
  2. Ash Blue Mica ;)
  3. I'm guessing the "alpine" would fall under the Blizzard Pearl Category. Sorry I won't add aftermarket colors. :P
  4. Sorry if this is a late reply. Gas mileage should be around 11-13 city, 17-19 highway (conservative figures) Problems to watch out for: Sulfur Smell, Clunk, Leaning (if equipped with KDSS), and steering wheel vibration.. But don't be scared about those problems as they can be fixed. Enjoy the GX and post any questions if you have any! :)
  5. No problem! That's what all us GX owners are here for. ;) As for the sunroof, I'm not so sure if extra care is necessary. Just wash and clean, and grease it if it starts to squeak or run really rough. Other than that, just make sure it's clean so you can see out of it with the glass closed. ;) The radio system does not have MP3. I believe the ML (Mark Levinson does) but I'm not sure if the 05 and newer GX's w/o ML have MP3 playback. Possibly, because my 06 4Runner has MP3 playback and I only have a basic stereo in it. :)
  6. It may be the same thing. Are the bulbs the same size? I know, with the plate lights, the sylvania bulb site says that (for example) the plate lights are 168 but 194 bulbs fit perfectly. Lexus dealership says that the plate light bulbs are 193 or 192, but I believe it's all the same. If it's the same size, and fits, it will definitely work. ;) http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProducts/A...LRG-Results.htm
  7. Hello and Welcome to LOC! Good choice on the GX. First off, I honestly am not familiar as to whether the rims are covered under the corrosion warranty. Secondly, I am amazed at your gas mileage figures. Lastly, yes those turn signal bulbs (aka DRLs also) bust easily, but so far both of mine havent busted a second time yet (both have busted at least once) so who knows. If you have anymore questions, feel free to post them up! =)
  8. Gas mileage on a new engine GX is horrible. I remember my first fill up at around 57 miles, I got only 9mpg. Once the vehicle accumulates mileage, it should get better. I'm only getting about 12mpg right now because it's being used purely in city miles.
  9. Minor other things. They added an aux input jack on the 06s that the 04s dont have, but the 06s don't have the rear audio system (if your car does not have the rear entertainment system). Aside from engine differences and that, that's pretty much it. Well supposidly they fixed the clunk for good on the 06, but some members still have the clunk on 06s and newer.
  10. So you are thinking about adding one of those single din DVD players where the screen flips up and folds in when not in use? Honestly, I remember someone doing this, not below the a/c though. But if you are thinking about doing that, in short, you are keeping the stock radio but just adding the flip up DVD player? The one GX I remember seeing, the person removed his stock non-Navi radio and installed a flip up DVD monitor like what you are thinking of. But since the space of the stock radio is so big, that person had to custom make a plastic plate that would cover up the area around the DVD player so that there isn't the big hole there. Only thing I dont remember is if that member was able to KEEP the 6-disc with his new DVD player.
  11. The RX does have an alarm, but it's not one of those high tech fancy aftermarket ones that SKperformance has. The Toyota/Lexus alarms are simple. They alarm when someone opens a door or tries to start it w/o the key transponder. I don't believe it has glass breakage sensor though (I had to have the Toyota alarm installed on my 4Runner since it came w/o an alarm but supposidly the alarm came with a glass breakage sensor) but obviously I have not (and will not) try it. :P
  12. Those lights are looking good! Reminds me of the Demon Eyes which is on most BMWs now. ;) They even used to offer demon eyes for certain Lexus models, but as far as I can remember they only offered it for the IS300. <_<
  13. Lexus has never been designed for sporty racing cars. The ISF's track time is just SLIGHTLY better than the IS350, but you slap on at least an extra $10k on the price. M3s and the C63s were designed for that sporty, racing feel but BMW always comes out on top (unfortunately since I prefer Lexus and Mercedes over a BMW anyday).
  14. The globe box has been a defect on the RX300s. Personally I did not have to slam shut mine, but I had horrible rattling problems with mine.
  15. I personally recommend the Cross Terrains. Good tire for the money, smooth, quiet (well Duelers are quieter though hehe), and long mileage. I only drove about 5k miles on my Cross Terrains on my RX300 since I sold it for a GX, but the GX came with Cross Terrains from the factory, and I'm still running on the same tires 4 years and 53k miles later. No signs of possible damage, nowhere near replacing (it's about 45-55% through), and still runs great! Btw I moved this (even though it might be a little late) in the Wheels and Tires Forum. This should get you more foot traffic on this topic. ;)
  16. Do both the 06 and 04 have the extended warranty? Secondly, this is your preference whether gas prices is a determining factor. If so, go for the 04 since it does not have the VVt-i engine yet and thus DOES NOT REQUIRE premium 91 gasoline. If gas isn't an issue and you want the VVt-i engine, go for the 2006. If the 06 does NOT have the extended warranty (since you mentioned it still has 2 years left on the factory warranty, but if it's CPO usually they SHOULD extend the warranty even if it still has remaining factory warranty) then you should go for the 2004 unit. Hope that helps! ;)
  17. You do have to remove the whole assembly from bottom up. Also look into the hitch caddy thingys, where you can "tow" extra luggage on your tow hitch if you have one installed. ;)
  18. Welcome aboard! Feel free to ask us questions also. Mind also, some of us may not know metric conversions so if you don't mind, put the conversion to the US metric system. ;)
  19. haha. I loved that car chase! Imagine having your friend shoot up your dashboard though. :P
  20. Anyone remember watching Redline last year? Pointless movie, but they did have most of the expensive cars in it including a : Ferrari Enzo, Maclaren SLR, Lambourghini Murceilago and Countach, Ford GT, and Porsche Carrera GT. I think I might have missed a couple. hehe.
  21. I just saw that trailer on myspace... I would have thought they'd have an IS-F in it. :P
  22. Hondas AND Toyotas are pretty much indestructable! My dad regrets trading in his 1992 Honda Accord after putting only 86k miles on it in 4 years. Currently the Odyssey has 155k miles and still runs great (even though I hate driving it because it's a top heavy car with an Accord engine! :o ). With proper maintenance and servicing, these things can easily run that 300k miles and beyond (after being so many sets of tires, so many brake pads, etc lol) :D
  23. The front of that concept M1 reminds me of, was it the 6 series that BMW used to have??
  24. According to step #24, the female is the one driving a stick shift? Makes the guys look like amateurs lol.
  25. I love how the car that eatingupblacktop posted has the emergency hazard lights switch as the main thing on the whole dashboard! lol. You definitely have to use those to safely do tricks with that car hehe. :P
