  1. The Acer Aspire 6920... The 3GB , and 320 Hard Drive, plus webcam and fingerprint reader, FOR A SMALL PRICE is what made the final push for me hehe. :P
  2. Well I took the plunge... I'm not going for a Mac right now. Personally I don't have the budget for a Mac right now. Remember, i'm the one buying this laptop i'm using right now, so if this thing lasts for a year or so, I'm good because by that time I would have earned enough money to buy a durable Mac. :) hehe
  3. Well if that is the case, just reset it like I explained above. ;)
  4. Hmm! Thanks for that info... So does anyone else have wear and tear issues on other brands? I didn't even consider that, the durability of the keys, etc..
  5. Oh my! :o :o A variety of opinions! lol. :P Ok if specs matter, I prefer Intel Core 2 Duo, with 2 GB and at least 250 GB hard drive.... So far I'm comparing a Sony and HP right now, same price, but the Sony only has 2GB and 200GB Hard Drive, while the HP has a 3 GB and 250GB Hard Drive (does my specs make any sense? sorry if it doesn't, I never really understood all the "engine parts" of a computer lol). I'm gonna look into Dell also because I have a friend that works at a hospital and he says they get some pretty decent discounts if I buy thru him, so I'm going to check that out. Mac is nice, but a little too much for my budget. :P I'll just get an iTouch, because I don't want the "strings attached" with AT&T when getting an iPhone from them. The Acer really looked nice, nice features, I think it had the best specs so far between the Sony and HP i've been comparing... But the quality is what concerns me. It's like buying a top of the line Azera, or a Camry with medium load in it....
  6. Ok. So I'm procrastinating to buy a laptop soon, but I'm stuck choosing between two or three brands. My first choice is SONY. I've loved the setup of the Sony VAIOs so that's my number 1 choice. Second is HP. So far I've heard good feedback with HP, but personally I had a horrible experience with a Media Center I bought 4 years ago.. But today I dropped by Circuit City, and I'm not too impressed by the brand, but they had an Acer laptop on sale, complete with the works! It has a webcam and finger print reader, while the comparable Sony and HP laptops don't have those, plus lesser memory. My question is, what is your guy's feedback between Sony, HP, and Acer? Any experiences or knowledge is greatly appreciated. ;) This is something I got from a Circuit City guy. He explained how Acer is going up the ladder, which we can explain in car terms, like Hyundai who's gone a long way in quality and designing.
  7. Those vettes aren't bad. But I test drove an 01 and I didn't quite like the quality of the newer Vettes....
  8. I've heard of pretty good performances from Volvo owners. Quality-wise, still Lexus is number one. Ford btw has shared the platform of certain vehicles with each other. I'm not sure which ones are which, but I know that the current Volvo S40, Mazda 3 sedan, Ford Focus are all based on the same S40 platform.
  9. Yes, that isn't the clunk. ;)
  10. Is it popping on for about a few seconds? After you turn the vehicle on every time, it will flash about twice I think. But if it starts to flash for about 6-8 times, yes that means it needs servicing (like oil change). But you mentioned that you just had the oil change done, so I believe the dealer probably forgot to reset the light. Simply just put the key in the II position, hold down the trip button and start the car up WHILE HOLDING down the trip button. ;)
  11. Huh that is weird. I find ebay sometimes either too good to be true, or a rip-off. Anyways so I talked to my 4Runner friend last night, and now he's getting tired of his Scion HU he put on last year, and wants to install the Scion NAVI HU!
  12. Yes try adding a CONVEX mirror to your side mirror. My shuttle van at work has those, and as ugly as it may look, it actually works (but the best blind spot solution is turning your head)
  13. Only thing I would suggest is lose the CD Magazine and put the changer in the dash. ;)
  14. "spring" noise? This is after you backed out of your driveway and you are putting the car in "D" on the flat surface? It is normal. I have it in both the GX and my 4Runner. Try it on a regular flat surface parking lot, it should do the same thing, regardless if there's an incline or not.
  15. Try turning the a/c off when you are about to stop at a stoplight/sign. Then tell us if you feel any "bump" from the back. ;) Possibly it could just be the A/C kicking in if it's really hot in your area
  16. Hey! Ya I've been really tired from work. :P Nope still on vacation but I'm gonna start summer school in 2 weeks. I'm good, well same old same old you know. :P I'm guessin everyone wants to see a picture of the work vehicle huh? ;)
  17. Shuttle Driver/Porter :P I really want to test drive that used IS250 M/T! lol. :P
  18. Good choice! ;) I thought it was a good mod too, till I actually heard one from a member on that site! When I heard it in his 4Runner, I was not impressed. Heck if you blindfolded me and made me listen to both of them w/o knowing which was which, I would say they were the same Pioneer HU! lol. =P If you ever want to replace your stereo, go for a better one. The Scion HU does fit perfectly into our stereo slots, but as I said, NOT WORTH IT. =) I would rather save up someday and buy the Navi HU to replace my stock HU lol. :P
  19. It's not a big deal. I know a lot of the 4Runner guys swap out their stock HUs for the Scion HU... I rode in a t4r.org member's 4Runner who had a scion HU, it wasn't any better than the stock! Heck, the only thing better was that I think you can change the color of the lights at night <_< . Sound quality wasn't even much better.. So in my opinion, I DONT RECOMMEND IT
  20. smooth1 What year is your S40? I have a friend that has a 2005 S40 T5 and he's just averaging about 15-17 mpg. Just curious. ;)
  21. Easier for me... I just use my work vehicle if I can! :P Then the dealership pays for the gas lol.
  22. A Land Cruiser is a Land Cruiser. A big difference from a nice smooth riding LS but it's something worth having even with gas prices this high! Depends if you really want/need the features and capabilities of a LC, then go for it! Price should be good for it right now cuz no one wants to buy a gas guzzler! I've noticed that at the Mazda and Suzuki dealership im working at, they're selling those Mazda 3s and Suzuki SX4s like hotcakes! lol ;)
  23. It looks like I'm going to be more familiar with these Mazdas... I just got a job at the Mazda/Suzuki dealership here in Fresno. hehe. =P I really love that CX9! :P
  24. Nice ride Josh! ;) I've driven an 06 Civic before. But let me ask you this, when you first drove it, did it feel like the nose of the car went on forever in front of you? hehe. I felt that when I drove my friend's Civic out to lunch a few times. :P
  25. That should have been one of the first tricks your dealership should have shown you! I remember when I test drove an RX300 back in 2000 the sales lady showed me that feature right away. Another trick, ONE-TOUCH START. You don't have to hold the key when starting the car. ;) Just turn it real quick and let go! :)
