  1. If your looking at a hybrid and your range is $30-$40k you could probably find a brand new '08 RX400h for around $38,000 with nav! EDIT: Oh nevermind, I forgot you wanted one in dark blue.
  2. My favorite color Lexus has is the Truffle Mica, although it's only available on the LS, 2010 RX and ES Pebble Beach edition. Otherwise Black is my new favorite.
  3. I believe since there is a TSB out for the issue that you can take it to any Lexus dealer and they will fix it free of charge.
  4. I had the same problem, however I'm not as tall as you are so I just lived with it. Once in a while I could feel my hair bush against the headliner, I was more annoying that uncomfortable. I just recently got an 04 RX330 and I have plenty of headroom in that.
  5. So my dealer still has two brand new RX400hs on the lot. They are both demo units so they have about 5,000 miles on them. I believe the sticker price is $51,000 each. What is a good price to pay for one of these?
  6. Woah.... *drops jaw* that is simply amazing. Excellent job!
  7. Yea I'm only 19. That is why my parents pay my insurance and my car is in their name. I was just using that as a reference. I know when I got my ES my mom saw our rates jump from when I had my Pontiac G6.
  8. Well I did a quick quote on progressive.com for a Pontiac G6 and a Toyota Camry which I'd say are similar cars. The G6 came to $1354 or $237/month and the Camry came in at $1476 or $258/month. If you want to look further just go over to any insurance companies web site and build a quote.
  9. 67xxx on my 03 ES 96xxx on my Dad's 05 Pontiac Montana SV6 102xxx on my Mom's 02 LeSabre Man I'm just getting started! There is a Camry at a local Toyota dealer that has a big sign on the side saying it has 450k miles, not sure what year but I'm guessing in the '96 range.
  10. Well my dealer just took stock of a Fully loaded (minus Mark Levinson) '05 RX that I'm going to go deal on after work today. I haven't heard of any problems with the 05s plus its a year after the new style so they had the first run kinks worked out. Any ideas what I should pay, I'm not sure how many miles are on it, all my research has been based on 12k/year so 48,000 miles
  11. We're looking to get a second car, my sister is getting her license very soon and she needs something to drive, I really want an RX so I devised a plan so that I'd get an RX, my mom gets my ES and my sister gets my mom's '02 Buick LeSabre... Anyway is there anything I need to look out for in the '04 model since it was the first year in that style, are there any common problems with it? It is a Lexus Certified Pre-Owned so I'll get the warranty but I just wanted to know if there is anything I should look for. Here is the car I'm looking at.... http://www.lexusofmelbourne.com/VehicleDetails/396693833 Also, how easy is it for dealers to move cars, I live in NW Ohio and this is in Florida. Would my Lexus dealer be able to bring it up here without giving me hassle about it?
  12. I don't know if this is similar or not but my '03 ES was in the shop recently and they disconnected the battery and my moon roof was a bit wonky as well. What I had to do was hold the slide open button down as it opened all the way back, then hold the button and let it close all the way, and do the same with the tilt open/close. After that mine worked just fine, I hope it works for you as well.
  13. My goodness they did an AWESOME job!! It looks brand new!!
  14. That's awesome, I'm excited to see the pics. Wednesday I talked to the shop that's working on my ES, they said it might be done Friday. A front end piece (they didn't say what specifically) came in a week late and they were prepping it for paint and they still needed to install the coolant system. Once I get it back I'll have to take some pics of mine, I'll have to borrow my sisters Nikon D40 to get some good quality.
  15. Well since everyone is talking about Jag I'll vouch for the Buick owners. My mom has a 2002 LeSabre (purchased new in September 2001) that just hit 100,000 miles a few weeks ago and it runs like the day she bought it and she is not an old !Removed! nor does she drive like one. She actually speeds in it all the time, she scares my dad and I sometimes the way she drives. A few things have gone wrong in it, the motors in three of the four windows burned out and the driver's heated seat died but other than that it is perfect. Although she likes my ES because it is quieter and has a slightly better ride.
  16. That "black" book is a load of crap. The auctions are not giving the dealer a sale. I went to try to trade my 03 ES with 65k miles in on a 09 RX and they came in and offered me $8,000, my jaw dropped to the floor. I was infuriated that they would even try to cheat me like that. Especially since they are trying to clear the 09 inventory.
  17. Wow flop170, this last Friday the 13th must have been "Wreck your Lexus" day. I slid in my 03 ES and ran into a tree, it took them a few days and my insurance company finally got me a cost of the repair, over $7000! They sent me a report on what would be replaced and it was the size of a novel! They are fixing it now but I won't get it back until April 10th. Anyway, I hope they do a good job on your IS and when you get it back you won't even know anything happened.
  18. Haha. Somebodys got jokes. Huh?
