  1. It's seems to be working fine now. But I know the problem might come back. Thanks for you help guys. I'm gonna get the starter and solenoid checked tomorrow.
  2. Hey guys, Just like the topic says, I have trouble starting my car, If it's cold, and i try to start it, it makes a click noise once, and all my guage lights go on. I know it's not my battery or battery connection because my headlights still work. I have no idea what it could be, the starter or ignition maybe. After leaving the key in for about a minute or two and starting it, It's starts fine. Anyone know what the problem is? Thanks in advance!
  3. The emblem is pretty big...all chrome with gold wings. It's more than likely for the Sc430. But there aren't too many sc430 owners around. Eh, it's just an emblem.
  4. Hey All, I just purchased an emblem off of Ebay...it's the front Soarer Griffin badge. I'm just trying to find out if it's for an Sc300/400 or if it's for the older model Soarers. That guy that sold it to me said it was for the newer model soarer...But the thing is that It doesn't exactly bolt up to where the front "L" emblem goes. Instead it has two prongs instead of pegs for the oem bumper holes. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...TRK%3AMEWN%3AIT The emblem itself is chrome with gold wings...the ones that I've seen are red griffins with chrome wings...Does anyone have any pics of the red Griffin emblem back side? Sorry this damn post is so non-technical...Thanks guys! -ML
  5. Hey guys I'm just wondering if anyone could help me out. My brake light on the guage cluster glows when ever i push the brakes slightly harder than usual. My brakes aren't squealing, and I replaced them about a few months back. They should be fine still. I'm just getting tired of seeing it light up everytime I'm about to stop. I had to remove the squeal pad (thing metal plate between the pad and caliper) because it was mangled. Help me out please! Thanks! -Mike
  6. so all in all It would be cheaper for me to go manual than to buy a set of coilovers. What's the estimated hours put into a project for this. I'm gonna have a couple of my friends help me. I'm gonna see if could get a couple days off of work for this one.
  7. Thanks Sadistic! I'm just wondering how difficult it is to find just the tranny. I think i'll go suspension first! And eventually swap to 5 speed. Is there any Do-It-Yourself websites for this conversion.
  8. I got great news...well actually...it's good news, considering my friend totaled his 5-speed sc300, and now he's parting it all out, including the 5-speed tranny. What I was wondering would be if it would be worth swapping my AT to MT, as far as all the work that is involoved. He told me to name a price, so how much is a good price for a good condition transmission? I was gonna get some coilovers, but I just might jump on this deal if it's worth it. I really do miss driving 5-speed. Auto is a bit too laxed for me. I do plan on eventually doing a 2jz-gte swap later down the line. Would you guys recommend getting a shift kit instead? Any opinions would be appreciated? Thanks!
  9. Hahah...yeah I used to miss my 86. But now, I can say it's better this way. I even got a chance to get an EK4 all TEIN'd out. But I think I'm gonna pass. For now I'm gonna have to settle sliding on wet parking lots until everything is tuned right. Do they make Strut tower bars for the REAR on Soarers?!? I saw the JIC-Magic only carries the Front, same goes for CUSCO. Who makes the REAR?
  10. Hey Carlos what kind of suspension you running? And what are the specs on your wheels in your avatar? It looks great Btw! Funny thing is I just sold my Ae86 as well so I could concentrate on the Soarer. I want a bike though for daily driving.
  11. Hey Masubi...u got pics of your wheels on your car! That's a pretty deep lip that you got on your Gram light wheels. It has to be a widebody kit on there.
  12. sounds great! But thing about it is you'd have to black out your high beams as well (middle round lights) It takes a while to do. I did it when i had a civic. It was actually pretty fun. I actually baked the headlight for about 200 degrees for about 10 minutes. It's quicker than a heat gun. Pop the headlights apart. take the housing out primer and paint. Let it dry and reverse the process. I don't know about the high beam lights though. Good luck. Keep us posted!
  13. I changed my air filter, and that made a significant difference. My car could actually breath, I'm gonna do a complete tune-up next week. Wise words for all car owners. I pretty excited though. Especially when you said your SC400 is a great on gas. I wish i could do it today, but I have work. Y'know how that is.
  14. I'm very to sorry about the bad quality of the GTP/importfan products. Personally, it's hard to trust companies like that in the US. Japanese companies have a better quality to not only there products but customer base and relationship. It's hard to trust VIS and other body kit companies, not only does there customer service suck, but a lot of times they have dimwits working the phones or desks when they aren't suppose to. I remember going to VIS with a friend that was going to pick up a carbon fiber hood for his Civic. Everything was pretty much set. My friend got a discount from a vendor and all we had to do was pick the hood up. So we go and the guy at the front desk gave us a hard time, saying he didn't get a call about that "deal" and he doesn't even have that particular hood in stock. He called his vendor friend to call VIS while we were there. And some other guy ended up getting the hood for us, which was on the side the whole time. The guy that we were dealing with didn't even work there, he was one of the employees friends, who thought he knew enough to deal with us. We should of kicked him the throat. Anyways, good luck to you AWJ.
  15. Sorry I hate to steal this thread, but can anyone tell me what the best offset would be for a 17x9 wheel? I want to this size because it's more practical for me. I'm not really a big wheel dude, and I'd rather not get them staggered. I'm still a student and I still pretty tight on cash, but at the same time I'll have enough to mod my car well. I was thinking about going with either the SSr Formula mesh wheels or Advan RGs in RWD offset wheels. Anyways, what would be the best offset for these wheels in that size? I still want the deep dish look but at the same time don't want to compromise on ride quality. Thank ya' kindly!
