  1. Your car was stolen by pros and the money for a rare and valuable hybrid is that it is now in a container where low jack does not work probably going to Africa. Could you have prevented it , sure dogs, guards , garage. All can be bypassed if they want , the common theme is to break into your home and take the keys and leave. No problems as they are at the front door waiting. I have an aftermarket alarm so i added the sensors so i could sleep at night as my car is outside . The old mercury tilt switches were not accurate so this re calibrates on arming for inclines. The field sensor listens to the air movements to set off the alarm if glass breaks of and arm moves inside the car by using 2 microphones.
  2. The car only has 2 cats one per bank , that is a normal number.
  3. That's why they have dollies , they can roll it away before hooking it up. Unless you have something like my car which has an electronic tow height sensor and air field disturbance sensors it is an easy target.
  4. The SR has a full body kit including front and rear bumpers, side skirts and a spoiler, plus 17-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels to distinguish it from the base model. For an additional charge, 18-inch Tsuki wheels are available. Under the hood is a 204-horsepower 2.5-liter V6, which has the SR running an 8.1-second 0-60-mph time and a top speed of 140 mph. Inside are all the expected Lexus luxuries including heated front seats, climate control, cruise control, smart keyless entry and engine start and 10 airbags. There's also something called "sequenced LED interior lighting." The IS 250 SR goes on sale May 19. The price in the U.K. is the equivalent of U.S. $49,020 for the version with a manual transmission, $50,609 for the automatic. Is it coming our way? U.S. Lexus spokesman Greg Thome issued the response, "We don't have any plans for something called an SR."
  5. Don't need a flat bed, the car has tons of clearance. A normal tow truck with 2 dollies for the rear wheels to roll it on and it is gone in 2 minutes flat as the tow arm is already up when they back it up.
  6. always keep the same thread so the repair process can be followed.
  7. you can get a good pair of bulbs for $40 or a cheap hid kit for $100
  8. for $20,000 more i would prefer no extras.
  9. This is getting childish now. You guys have made your point , if you have nothing of value to add , DON'T !
  10. www.hidplanet.com will answer everything.
  11. Don't you have power headrests on your LS?
  12. The wire is on both right sides only. If you short the wire it thinks the pads are not low and have not worn through the sensor. Just buy a new sensor and replace , it slides on the brake pad.
  13. do you have oem hid's or halogen bulbs
  14. clean the sensor on the lower dash under the ignition. It has 3 slots for its opening.
  15. at factory height it is fine
  16. You need to make sure the wheels will fit over your brakes the offset does tno tell you.
  17. You know it is amazing looking with out the tractor guards. Maybe if they were painted./
  18. You have a cluster short, the antenna is supposed to do that on all Lexus models which fan hvac for the vents or rad
  19. The closest toyota product to an LS400 is a tundra truck.
  20. If your LSD was not locking up both the inner wheel and out wheel would roll at the same rotation speed. Since one is at a different speed the track comp sees it as the wheel is slipping and kicks in . It is a common issue with eh way Toyota designed the IS300 system that it always does this especially on a right turn at a light.
  21. Mine is built into my 1998 LS400, so the display tells me current fuel usgae tank avg total avg km til empty km travelled time engine is running
  22. Todda please do a google search on an LSD then you will understand what is happening. It is a performance part used to improve forward traction. It is much worse for those of us in the snow belt where you have to make a choice of trac control or the engine being cut off when they need it to accelerate.
  23. LOL , it is not Lexus fault for not finding it right away or that you have a rodent problem. It is a wiring short caused by them mouse and they are the hardest thing in the world to find. Depedning on how many wires it hit you could repair them by cutting and lengthening them BTW i had a cousin in Florida with blazer , i won't get into the story of me waking up inside it with cockroaches on me. I decided to give him a going away gift before i left and bought a roach bomb for a house. I set it off inside the truck and 3 hours later i searched high and low and not one roach could be found around under or inside.
  24. Air suspension is great if it is set up properly and its right is well beyond springs and struts.
