  1. I have a 97 ls400 and converted to standard coilovers from Strutmaster. I like the way they handle compared to the air ride. I still have the air shocks off in my shop if you are interested they were never leaking the front right was rattling and driving me crazy but rears were fine. If you are interested e mail me chddent@Hughes.net
  2. any help will do. I found a tutorial in lextreme but its for a 90. I'm stuck. I figured out how to get rear seat out. Now I'm stuck on getting the stablizer bar link off both nuts are free spinning. Instructions say to take drive shaft out is that right?
  3. I think that that actual light mount is aimed in the wrong direction. I have put upgraded bulbs in before (kragen) and no difference. Maybe the car was in a accident before I owned it. I really hope these bulbs help. But a little pesemistic about the whole deal. One of my friends wrecked out my spoiler a few years ago and said lights were too dim it was true the lights are too dim and I think its the angle. I hope I'm wrong. Thanks for the help. Chad Denton
  4. thanks for the help. Sorry I didn't look it up. What else would you have to do if you didn't answer these questions?
  5. Are all 97's so dim. Can't see 20 feet ahead is this a fixable problem?
  6. what a deal, I just ordered a strutmaster conversion kit for the air ride I'll let you know how it goes. Oh it was $700 not too bad considering one new air strut is about a grand
  7. how is the handling and ride height, too tight too loose just random thoughts
  8. that's pretty much the question. I should of asked before I bought them they should be next week. Anyways how is the handling? Do you regret your decision?
  9. strut rods are new ball joints are new but sway bar and control arm are old. What about the air strut that is decompressed in the morning is that an issue that needs addressed? Thanks again
  10. when I hit bumps in road car gets squirly does that sound like bushings? Which bushings? I replaced strut rods and that didn't help. Only left rear strut sags in the morning and goes up when started. I really like the air ride and not sure if I could repace just the left rear strut? Strutmaster has a conversion for $700 sounds good but not sure I need it. Thanks for the lended knowlege.
  11. so replace the air struts. Where can I find them at a reasonable price? Also I have read about putting OEM standard struts on is that a DIY job? Can I replace one air strut in each axle or all four. I have 150000 miles and really don't want to spend too much denero on a car that may not be worth the cost. Thanks a million Chad.
  12. help needed to decide. Coil overs arnott or suncore or replace air shock with rebuilt or just keep on bouncing all over the road. Has anyone put the coilover conversions on and how do you like the ride. I'm really going to miss the air ride. Thanks for the info.
