  1. it leaves the brake booster on the firewall. Try and add some detail to your posts .
  2. Good company , nice product for bolt on's that work.
  3. UPDATE BTW it only needs to be changed once a year unless you have issues with your car and need to do it every other month for 6 months with new fluid added to clean it up inside by the valve body especially.
  4. FYI all threads started can be accessed by clicking on the members name . I have alot of posts but not that much personal threads. Here is the post on my ls400 http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...c=42213&hl= Here is the other one from my ES300. http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...c=17759&hl= You can buy a kit from ford or others online and it only needs 1 filter as it comes with clamps and 1 peice of hose. The ford one comes with all sorts of couplers and are on ebay every so often.
  5. need to have it disabled by the dealer .
  6. I know the GS450h and the LS600h have the blue ring around the front and rear emblems . I have not see it on the RX , atleast never looked. On lexus.com it has it on some of the pictures for the rear emblem but not the grille one.
  7. btw i have a post with pics of it done to my ls somewhere on here.
  8. Funny enough i did this 6 or 8 years ago with my ES300 then with my LS400 both on the transmission and the power steering line. No noticable difference from new fluid to new filter . If feels new every time i change either one as the new fluid cleans the lines and the filter will catch the rubber debris from the inside of hoses and seals. The filter is the same as a wix inline transmission filter for about $5-10 . I buy bulk and keep them on hand to change when needed. Now if i actually removed the screen from the variable assist and cleaned that it would really help but i am too lazy .
  9. I guess in France they do the strangest things.
  10. I would bring it to the dealer and ask them to add some sound deading . If it still does not work buy a roll of dynamat and ask them to do all the doors and panels for you for free since you bought the materials. The mat is thick and absorbs vibrations very well as it is made just for audio in cars with buzzing. It will increase the sonic capacity of the audio as well as sharpening muddy lows and brighten the highs by stronger reflection off the panels.
  11. need to test the alternator after cleaning it up
  12. All good deals but in January the price for an LS will be an easy grab as no one sells cars then and it will be taking up a large portion of the dealers credit line for the bank for over 60 days.
  13. AWD is nice but is usually not needed on city roads with snow , you mainly carry around an extra couple hundred pounds of weight for it.
  14. Those look like the factory wheels it came with. I would probably go for the newer RX 330 wheels that are 18 but a larger thicker 5 spoke.
  15. I crashed (totalled my old grand prix) in a roll over. I was hungry and had nothing to eat , so i jumped in it as it was still at my house and drove to burger king with grass on the roof and smashed glass. They looked at me funny but i told them i was hungry and had no choice.
  16. The fog light it much cheaper than than , you can buy one on ebay for less than a $100 , make them fix the paint and buy your own foglights as it is 2 screws to install in 3 minutes.
  17. Glad it worked out , how much and where did out get the new struts?
  18. ok i did a check , i am not totally off as it is from 1953 and the name is right and dealt with a rocket company. http://inventors.about.com/od/wstartinvent.../a/WDFourty.htm According to the company that makes WD-40: WD-40 literally stands for water displacement 40th attempt. That's the name straight out of the lab book used by the chemist who helped develop WD-40 back in 1953. Norm Larsen, was attempting to concoct a formula to prevent corrosion, a task which is done by displacing water. Norm's persistence paid off when he perfected the formula for WD-40 on his 40th try. WD-40 was invented by the three founders of the Rocket Chemical Company of San Diego, California. The team of inventors were working on a line of industrial rust-prevention solvents and degreasers for use in the aerospace industry. WD-40 was first used to protect the outer skin of the Atlas Missile from rust and corrosion. Norm Larsen repackaged WD-40 into aerosol cans for consumer use and the product was sold to the general public in 1958. In 1969, the Rocket Chemical Company was renamed after its only product WD-40.
  19. From some previous stuff i learnt in college WD -40 stands for nasa on its 40 try getting the formula right for a water displacement spray. Unknown if it is the truth or not , but i have never been attacked by birds because of the fish oil . :)
  20. I have not read anything bu the title so i am not sure what your needs are . The ES 300 is a pratical and reliable car for many years. I love the 5 series in all years but they can be a pain to maintain . Cost factor for the es alone makes it a winner.
  21. Have to agree it is very uncomfortable at first but so is a new pair of shoes. If i drove a Cadillac for years and switched to a Volvo with positive posture seating i would be in such pain for weeks. Anyway rishi gets the idea , keep the convo level headed.
  22. They can run the vin and give you the exact gasket in case their was a minor change. You have the same 1mz-fe motor problem is it may have 1 hole moved and no one is going to know that except a break down of the vin .
  23. NO NO , I !Removed! ALOT ALREADY , :P
  24. pb blaster is must better than wd40 which is more like cooking oil .
