  1. Not sure it can be without a pic ,since i have never broken one or noticed the part you mention inside the sheath.
  2. Are you sure it is liquid vapour and not dust? It might be mould spores that are in the vents that get disturbed and release into the cabin. They don;t smell but can make you real sick over time.
  3. As a new member you should always search for answers yours is called the IACV Atleast 200 posts so their is no excuse for not finding all the info to find ,fix ,and maintain with pictures for your convience.
  4. Thanks again I need a new right fog light before i get that done as mine is cracked. I also got a set of HIR's which is in the mail right now for my fogs. I am going to rewire it from the relay to a constant with the parking lights. I also want to have an amber bulb in the corners to complete the lighting for the front end as i think it needs some sort of border to the headlights.
  5. Yes it does just come right off. Once the mast is removed from the ant motor it comes right off either out the top or bottom as the nut only holds the assembly to the body it does not touch the mast . The only other problem is you have a non Toyota ant assembly which might be your problem. Here is a picture of the top of an antenna with the threads for the ant and a bezel screw which attaches to it with a rubber base between it and the body .
  6. What codes do you have?
  7. Here are some new pics with it now lowered with JIC SF-1's and an L-sportline exhaust. I am getting the 3pcs spoiler and i won a set of 19inch 5spoek L-sportline rims on ebay to match. before after rear It is low and i neeed to raise the front up a little bit but it looks amazing to me. Never let someone tell you a coilover does not drive great. ONly crap products deliver crap , i got one of the best and it is not soft like the original LS400 design was for a car as a couch. Now i can take a corner at 5mph without kissing my passangers and if i press the gas/ brakes it no longer dives and squats like before. A definate improvment
  8. www.hidplanet.com Adding an hid system in America is not DOT approved. It is because too many people added them without a proper housing or alignment of the lights so the beam patterns where way off and blinged people. HID systems are made with specific bulbs ballasts and housings some even have motors to move the bulbs up and down when going over bumps as to not blind other drivers.
  9. So far it sounds right but you have to unscrew the nut until it pulls right off , it takes quite a few turns to rinally get it off ,unless someoen tried before and broke the antenna housing so the nut just turns but cannot release . Look under the hole where the antenna is and see if it still has some of the old housing attached to the nut.
  10. I can't say what the no name sutff has unless you follow the tankers to know who they are being supplied with. Their are only a few gas companies the smaller ones just buy from them.
  11. In order to collect proper info you should have designated it to oem rims and aftermarket ones. Second summitomo and kuhmo are garbage it is like buying a pepboys brand tire , so adding them to the mix is worthless . Many owners cars come with toyo tpt's and they make some of the best tires around for performance.
  12. changing a battery is easy with one 10mm wrench and a strong back.
  13. It is not fuel as it runs fine once started just has no power to restart. You seem to have either a loose battery cable or a bad battery. An alternator is a possibility but not the first if the car runs fine.
  14. It is true some cars do not have HID's but still have a sharp cutoff of the elns causing the rainbow effect ,which is also used to stop the light pattern at an exact point to no blind oncoming traffic.
  15. Your also very helpful by putting a title that makes any sense. Try and make one that defines the question or problem. SHA4000 I am not sure who gave you the information that a clogged egr makes a rough engine that stalls . An egr is to keep combustion temps down to reduce emissions. It reduces power and incerases milage when open (stuck or not). A stuck closed one will reduce your gas milage ,increase your nox emissions and incerase you power from the engine. You can remove an egr and it will run perfectly fine , ever heard of JDM ? They do not use EGR's on the same engines
  16. You did something wrong. The mast is not held onto the antenna mast in anyway. It unscrews from the antennat motor body to press the rubber grommet against the car while holding the antenna housing secure in the trunk. Without a picture it is hard to know if you are describing your parts correctly as it is not the way it should be for fittment.
  17. It sounds like the key cylinder is not sending a signal to the alarm that you are turning the key. It is either the tumbler sensor or the wiring.
  18. Actually it is from hid system . All hid's look that way some are more pronounced than others such as audi and porsche being thw strongest with BMW being next in line. What you are seeing is the light being reflected from the projectors and at its ends of the lens it has a sharp cutoff. This is called a sharp cutofff where the light is being bent and shows the rainbow effect . Most reflector type headlights do not do this but some like older mercedes added a lens at the top to have it.
  19. Very nice ,now you can do an avatar just like mine since we have the same models. :o
  20. Everyone has their own ideas, The easiest way to is to have measurment data being gathered while the car is being driven and not by human senses doing the data collection. I have a civic and if i use shell premium it is like using sunoco basic ,i have to use premium if i want the car to perform In car sat should be nothign new as they have it for boats with a fast acting mobile antenna
  21. I can't find it( well i got lazy after 2 minutes) It is pretty simple. If you are just replacing a boot then get the toyota bootkit. If replacing an axle it is less work but more money since you do not have to take the axle apart. Remove wheel tie rod sway bar end links hub main bearing bolt undo the bolt facing up which hold the axle to the tranny then just pull out. I am going from what i remember when i did mine a coupl of years ago but it was straight forward.
  22. Does it have a rotor/cap or coil? I thought it was common for this kind of problem? Sounds like an ignition issue. Plugged/broken injector broken cap /rotor or coild depending
  23. Actuall i have written one a couple of times for people. try searching under axle boot in the ES section
  24. If the engine is not overheating then it is quite normal. 97 and up have a higher internal temp. The rad mounts are ment for play to keep them from cracking and leaching heat to the frame
  25. You may need a new battery that under starting conditions does not have enough power for acessory power and they loose their memory.
