  1. It is a great exhaust ,it also is very light and not cheap that is 1300 US plus shipping taxes and brokerage ,over 2000 to you door easily
  2. I know ZOROon Dundas, i am guessing Steve did your car and Jack did your bill. They actually do not have a mandrel machine as most stores can never afford one and would have to cut a premade j for all bends.
  3. How long after turning the key to off does it incapacitate the lock buttons? If you stay in the car does it shut them off?
  4. It sounds as though a remotoe/start alarm may have been installed as well as a radio wich was removed as well which has caused a few wiring issues with the car.
  5. All grilles are hand made for any year ES. That is a japanese windom.
  6. depends on what the smell is ,it could be anything from the belt being burnt off..... Need the code checked to know for sure. If it doesn't even attempt to turn the engine over during starting ,i would say the belt is fried.
  7. Wish you had looked eariler as i saw you going to race and i knew you would lose so i bet against you ,sorry. But you did make me 1000 which helps make me a hop ,skip and no more jump to getting my 200 shot of nos for my GS. Remember to always check the times of the other cars before accepting any race.
  8. Use silicone for the edges no superglue. It needs to be able to contract and expand with heat from the different plastics.
  9. Get the code checked ,it will give good light onto what is happening rather than a best guess. Sounds like a low gas problem.
  10. Did you check you intake pipe or clean your maf?
  11. do you mean the power door lock switch located on both fron doors besdie the window buttons? It may be a problem with the alarm brain ,it is supposed to turn the interiro lock buttons off when it is armed.
  12. Never heard of anything like that before on any car except a tiny bell that you are going to fast. Unless you may hav ean alternator problem which causes other systems to shut down from being at a higher rpm.
  13. Both work on almost any car. Same thread and diameter only some have slightly different alignment of the ports.
  14. I am not attcaking you as a person i am just noting what you said yourself. You called it old and had no complete insurance. From those 2 comments along one would find it was not a valued asset to you.
  15. There is only 2 filters the short for 4 and 6 cylinders and the long for v8 and trucks
  16. What a way to make the guy feel like he just purchased a lemon that is about to rust out on him RX. Any car that is looked after is less likely to rust. My 94 ES300 has no rust but i am sure i can find some under it . It is part of owning a car that even normal rain will cause it to show some corrosion. If they have oil spray rust inhibitors in Florida get it shot with that stuff after a good amount of power washing in the tiny nooks and crannies and it will be fine.
  17. pulling to the right under 4th? diff? fluid level for tc application? damaged cv's engine/transmission mounts? these are just best guesses as we would need the car to get a better idea of the problem.
  18. You guys are getting away with murder. It costs me $2500 a year for full coverage on my LS I DON'T HAVE ANY TICKETS OR ACCIDENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! How i hate the insurance industry. I intend to get my money back by rotoating my 4 cars on and off ,on weekends which means they will have full coverage when they actually get driven but i don't have to pay for it anymore.
  19. How low are you going to drop the car,as well as the condition of the roads you drive. What width of rim and tire are you looking at?
  20. Should of had collision insurance, i still am not sure why some have a Lexus but not spend the few more $ on complete coverage. It all depends on how you want the car fixed and how bad it is . None of this anyone over the internet can tell you as someone needs to evaluate the car in person. I prefer Lexus parts for both of mine and things done the right way. Judging by you calling it an old car and probably treating it that way, it may not matter the condition it is repaired in as long as it isn't falling apart. So any body shop can put it back together again .
  21. Agreed , any opinion expressed is fine as long as it is tastfully done.
  22. It is pretty easy to look after just like the rest of the car in winter. Use a power washer at least once a month to remove salt and use a good metal polish like nxt by meguires
