  1. Odd to go through all that and still have chatter. My wife gets that on her car but she never washes it either ,so it is her own fault. I used rainx and oem Lexus wipers and all my noise is gone completly.
  2. Do a search in all forums or google as it is not car specific. There you will find the process of cleaning a throttle body which is rather simple ,usually 2 screws and you can see it then spray the can slowly .
  3. Sorry sha i did my studs last night as part of my spacer kit. Those studs as easier than any other stud i have ever taken out . So with the small amount of force used with the nut on the end of the stud to flatten the pressure it was fine.So i doubt it will cause abs or bearing failures. I might not reccomend changing studs more than once max twice as the hub material did shear off quite easily on install which reduces the clamping pressure holding the studs. This combined with some mechanic and an over torqued air gun means more than a few hours trying to get a wheel off.
  4. Here is a tip , when posting on a forum to ask a question add every possible bit of info regarding the question. Such as what parts do you have exactly, who told you it would work with what you bought?
  5. The rims may look thick but the flange surface should be about the same thickness for an oem stud. The newer studs came with my 15mm spacer and fit perfectly. Where in Canada are you?
  6. I just ordered a new dome light and some 9led 194 bulbs as i bought some yesterday and they suck to say the least. These will replace the upper rear reading and acess lights . I ended up putting in a PIAA extreme 194 bulb for the liscence plate bulbs as i had them brand new in a box for a while and forgot abuot them.
  7. Well i just installed the LED interior lights from luxury mods. Took about 1 hour including taking pics. Door bulbs were the greatest improvements the dome , ignition and foot wells did not improve at all and were much darker but a nicer colour. The 2 map lights were not included either and are a round base type one. The door bulbs end up using 194 bulbs so they are easy to get . The kit does not have the 6 needed for the upper rear reading access lights which are also 194 bulbs. The foot well ones were a pain because the bulbs are bigger than the base ,so i had to use a drill bit to open them up to fit. It was easy enough to use my hand turning the drill bit to remove the little bits of plastic. The ignition bulb was not as hard as you would think to get to but reinstalling the clasps were a pain for some reason. In all i would just get the 10 194 bulbs needed to change the doors and upper rear lights which would make the most dramatic difference. So i am going to order another set of 6 bulbs for the upper ones soon to finish the look. I also want to get a new dome light which is bigger and just wire it in which is easy enough for at least double the output as i can;t see a thing with this new one. the whole kit the dome light(led) and map light (original) showing the difference in light colour and output. door original door led door led and original comparison both doors with led ignition interior original interior led

  9. Buy a H&R spacer kit It comes with new studs and a hubcentric spacer for $150 . I just installed mine last night to clear my front brake calipers as well.
  10. The only thing you can do is reenginner the latch to open. Take apart your other door again and compare the assembly and see how you can duplicate the motion to release.
  11. If you have that many codes then i would say it is not a simple problem. Check the intake pipe for rips and clean your maf first. Lots of threads on both things
  12. He probably has sold them already. As you already know you should have just brought them home with you. Good luck.
  13. Things to use Heat helps really well to ball the gum a product from home depot called "goof off" ( i think) high speed poisher bug and tar remover or 3M adhesive remover
  14. No problem ,the main problem you may notice is vibrations from the bearings having play from being hammered at .
  15. When the last person posted did you think you might need to answer what they asked you? They did ask the pertinent info you left out, find that out then post it if you want an answer.
  16. Very smooth, I liked the cars rims before but these look even better for my personal taste

  18. I hope they fix it if they would actually troubleshoot it properly. I love the 01 especially black on black. Texas is so farrrr.
  19. The 1st manual of all lexus manuals is drivetrain the second is body , trim and other electrical. All obd 2 ports on every single car is located at 2 points one on the engine and the other in the area of the drivers knees.
  20. Here is the easy part ask the company that sells RPM wells or maker what the center bore is. Then you will be able to source a ring with an inner bore of 60.1 (toyota/lexus) with the outer diameter matched to your wheel. Other than that you need to go to a rim and tire store who can take the rim off ,measure the bore and match one to it. Make sure you are not using the oem toyota nuts as they don;t fit right if at all. If you want a quick fix loosen each wheel so the nuts are loose but still on. then slowly rotate the tire wiggleing it around as you tighten the nuts. It will snug the rims more centered.
  21. Banging the hubs with studs can cause bearing and abs sensor failure
  22. Unless you leave a car parked over a week it should not be getting any flat spots. So far we know heat is a major factor in repairing the problem. Means you have a gap out of tolerance somewhere. If it is through the steering wheel it should be in the front suspension. Wheels have been rebalanced so that throws them out. It might be the brakes which change shape with a touch of heat. I would drive slowly 1-5mph on a small street first thing in the morning and apply the brake lightly for about 1 minute .Then get the truck up to 65 and see if it is gone.
  23. Good going ,thanks for leaving an answer as to a fix. "Dippy" i love that name ,i think one day i will have to use it for when i have kids and there other halves.
