  1. It might be that the "GPS" was not picking up a signal from the satellite. If there is signal interference then the green "GPS" indicator on the screen would be absent, and result in erroneous tracking. Then again, it coud be that the original area you were in is not covered by your DVD. Do you have the latest nav version? Hope this helps.
  2. My problem is that recently, on occasion, when slowing to apply the brakes at low speeds the engine will not idle down. In essence the brake is on while the car wants to go. This desn't seem like a very safe combination. Has anyone ever experienced this and, if so, what was the cause. The 2002 rx 300 only has 41,000 miles on it and is still under warranty. It is in the shop now as it is too dangerous to drive.
  3. I updated the Nav DVD on my 2002 Rx 300 in June '05. The color is still brown. :(
  4. This happened to me to. It was because the HID lights were on as well as the other accessories. I could not start the car after 15-20 minutes. I let the car set for about half an hour and it started fine. I checked the battery the next day and it was fully charged. Never a prooblem since. I learned my lesson... never play with the navigation system along with other accessries while the car is not running. I hope this helps.
  5. This might seem like a basic suggestion but did you ask your dealership what the "X" on the headlight means?
  6. I would buy the aunts 2001 rx300. You couldn't buy another reliable car for that price. If you have any doubts take it to your favorite Lexus mechanic and have him go over it in detail for mechanical problems since it is still under factory warranty for a short time. Change the oil and tranny fluid. The money you put in will not exceed, by a long shot, the difference you would pay for another quality vehicle. Just my two cents worth. Good luck !!!! :)
  7. If you want to see the temperatue with the nav on just hit the A/C auto button and the temp will come up on the screen. :) Good Luck!!
  8. I believe that the hybrid vehicles belong in a separate forum as they are of a different automotive "breed", with issues that are distinctly separate from the traditional gasoline automobiles. For this reason I believe the 400h should have its own forum.
