  1. He must have found it funny why else would he stand and pose on his crumpled car with a smile.
  2. LMAO I know you are only saying the conduit because it sounds funny and would never think of actually doing it as it would be a fire waiting to happen. The easiest way is to cut off the rear pipe and weld on a set of dual tips $100 for the 2 installed.
  3. All of your post is great ( especially the slick 50 part)but how does it show factually that the pressure changes are of no conciquence>?
  4. It is a completly new thread ,Just the same spot so anyone who got a subscription to the old threads will see the new stuff without the out of date info.
  5. 3m has an adhesive remover. Try napa or uap
  6. I like it. I don;t think it has anything to do with the CLS as all cars are getting that design style.
  7. Damn , glad your ok. Looks like you need a new bumper fender hood door skin wheel corner light headlight suspension check but probably a control and a CV If you ever wanted to upgrade to 00-01 headlights and bumper now would be the time.
  8. They do use alot of power how is your alternator?
  9. LMAO sorry but i know alot of shops who have a wheel balancer and do not know how to even set the machine up properly. On all aftermarket rims you are not supposed to use clamp weights on the rim lip. The funny part is your tire/rim was probably balanced with the setting for steel outside weights not for the inner tape weights which would not compensate. Far too common with many shops. I bet if someone checked the machine they guys there don;t even know how to change it from tape to clamp.
  10. The stock ones on a 95-96 were white and rectangle. How much you want to spend is the main question. Anything under $100 is pretty much all the same. It is all your choice but the best are PIAA , Hella and Catz.
  11. Engine pumps and tranny pumps are 2 different animals completely. An engine pump is more variable in pressures while a tranny one is more consistent. Slick 50 is a well know scam and has been fined for causing more damage than anything so you might need to reevaluate your usage with it. All of those tranny fix fluids do is expanding seals and clutches only a band aid not a solution. Like i said the only way to know is to install a pressure gauge before and after the filter to know for sure . I am no engineer but i custom make all sorts of parts. I designed this fix to combat the problem by finding out exactly what the failure was which is not a complete transmission rebuild but to remove the filter media which clogs the valve body. This is all from the TC shredding the fibre backing on the plates which cushion the metal on metal rubbing.By removing this fibre you keep it from doing one of 2 things .You keep it from clogging the screen mesh and the valve body. By basic physics anytime you change the direction of anything you will lose velocity of what ever it is you are moving. So it is not a question of "if" there is a pressure drop but by how much the drop is.The cooler lines are external and do not get direct pump pressures.this makes the fluid pressure much lower than inside the tranny. So in order to find the problem and find a solution it came from reverse engineering the effects. To solve it 1. Never keep the tranny in O/D when you know you are going to downshift . 2. install an external tranny filter to catch the fibres which the screen cannot.
  12. Sounds like horse*BLEEP*. If the engine mounts were broken they wouild not reengage into normal position by turning the engine off.
  13. It would not be a cam sensor or it would not run or burn in the other cylinders It sounds as though the fuel may be right but the ignition system is not firing. So it is either a bad coild or wire as a plug is doubtful. Are 1 and 7 connected to the same coil pack? i don;t even know the set up on the 1st gen so i am not sure what it uses. I would check for spark first at the plugs then work my way back to the coil or distributer and rotor.
  14. From using it a few times and other pro style cleaners they car make a cat die but it has to be already on its own way out. An interesting proverb i was taught in college. Cat's never die of natural causes they are always murdered.
  15. Lowering a car and then not getting an alignment immediatly chews the inside of the tires. I got rid of my OEM suspension 2 weeks after i bought my car. I could not stand rocking back and forth ,and side to side everytime i changed motion. With my JIC suspension it got as close to luxury with more than an added dash of sport. If i could do it again i would probably get the TEIN coilovers. All in all suspension can make or break a car and how you like it or love it. I like my LS with OEM suspension, not i love to drive my LS all the time. The wording says it all.
  16. I am lost ? "i'm dead" The first time sears rebalanced them they did not work. The second time he rebalanced them or they just happened to balance themselves?
  17. I would put it behind the bumper in the left or right corner which has some room in there.
  18. They don;t have anything for the car yet but theat would be the easiest thing to get . I love the system and was planning to get it until i realised i would have the same damn crappy transmiter which has hardly any range compared to an aftermarket one. As well it would not be a 2 way paging one which is kind of important to me.
  19. One club that has a simialr drivetrain so they would know people who can fix it properly is the http://www.planetsoarer.com/ http://soarercentral.com/cgi-bin/sc-forum/discus.cgi Both have a large Australian membership
  20. I am not sure if the RX ones will fit . Like i mentioned i tried using the camry ones which looked identical but where actually larger and would not fit just the same style but not design.
  21. The new wipers are probably too long . I used to buy aftermarket wipers but have found using rainX and oem lexus wipers the best combo for price ,reliability ,cleaning and chatter free cleaning hands down over every blade i have used before.
  22. There are kits to relocate the engine filter from many companies to make it real easy to change.
  23. Glad to see you searched and found the answers you needed. The camry buttons do not fit. I had to find a unti from a Japanese car to source a button out of. It meant taking apart my switch and reinstalling the rockers as it is for a right hand drive door. I still prefered paying $50 and labour over 250 for a new one.
  24. The egr is stuck open not closed which would cause excessive flow. I agree with MB it has large carbon issues and needs the iacv egr and maf cleaned.
