  1. Here's a good comparison article about scanners. There are many really cheap ones out there that are not included in this list, but I don't think I would trust them for anything but a quick code read. The best OBD-II scanners in 2022 | Tom's Guide (tomsguide.com) You can also check to see if your neighborhood auto parts store allows you to borrow a reader. I've seen store employees go out and read the codes for the customer, who can then write them down.
  2. Have you looked up any local auto upholstery shops? I had one (shop owner) replace my MX5 seat cover with an OEM one.
  3. Hello, Jeremy. I suggest that you have your battery load-tested. Having lots of failures, simultaneously often points to a failing battery or bad ground connection. Make certain your battery cable connections are secure and not corroded.
  4. Hello, Mike. Have you had any codes read? That would be the first thing I'd do. Next, take a look at this post and all the correspondence that followed.
  5. This information appears to be difficult to uncover. However, this document was released, this year: Android Auto™ (lexus.com) In it is a paragraph that explains how to establish a wireless Android Auto™ connection.
  6. That may be a failing brake booster check valve. This page shows where it is located. It looks to be fairly easy to replace. 2015 Lexus RX 350 Power Brake Booster Check Valve - 4473022150 - Genuine Lexus Part The part itself is less than $45.
  7. Happy Thanksgiving! It's 9:00 AM and already 72 degrees here. Needless to say, it'll be a wonderful day.🙂
  8. With only 35K miles on the fluid, I would think that a simple drain and fill would be fine. In the past, I would do a second drain and fill, 1-2 months after the first. Is there an interval specified in your owner's manual?
  9. I would've questioned why they did not clean or replace the connector, first. If that didn't solve the problem, then perhaps replacing the DCM was the only other option. I would call the service manager and ask him that very question. I once had an issue with an Electronic Body Control Module in a 2001 Corvette. I simply unplugged and plugged in its connector, multiple times to solve the issue.
  10. Did you call KYB? There's always a chance that they are defective. Call them and describe the ride characteristics.
  11. What is the code reading? There is lots of information out there about codes and repair costs. How many miles are on your odometer and what is the driving mix of city and highway?
  12. I mistakenly bought an aftermarket set before replacing ours (older generation than yours). Here's my story:
  13. I wonder if a passenger can scan for codes while you are driving 80+ MPH. I have read owners of German cars reporting the same thing. Those replying, suggest a speed sensor or ABS module as possible culprits.
  14. I would take it in to the dealership for inspection. If it were an older vehicle, I'd suspect a loose connection or faulty sensor.
  15. I had KYB shocks on my 1989 Mazda MX6 GT and they were perfectly fine. Did you verify that you received two fronts and two rears and that they were installed in the right locations? I would call KYB and explain the situation to solicit their opinion. One of my brothers had Tokiko struts installed on his Honda Prelude, but they were very stiff - much more so that the OEM struts. It is never a good idea to install different brands from front to rear or side to side, just as you should not do that with tires. O
  16. Have you tried turning off and then starting your vehicle? Based upon what I have read, if the condition remains, check or have someone the 30-amp fuses in the engine bay fuse box. If they are good, the amplifier may have failed.
  17. Those look like reasonable costs compared to what a dealership would charge.
  18. This post may be relevant. Different vehicle but similar symptoms
  19. Hello, Felix. What have you done so far? Checked the transmission fluid level? Checked for any codes using the OBD2 port? Checked to see when the fluid should be changed?
  20. If you don't get an answer here, consider (if you haven't already) calling or emailing the company that developed the turbo. I would expect them to be very knowledgeable about the limitations and possible upgrades.
