  1. I ran into that situation while conditioning my seats. Apply the conditioner/shampoo to the cloth first and not directly onto the perforated sections. Not too much on the cloth either. That way, it won't build up in those tiny holes. Worked for me
  2. Hi Ernie, the latest nav software with the override menu is version 5.1, which is pretty out of date, as the latest navigation software is version 7.1. I've sent you a pm with more info, and can send you install instructions as well.
  3. Thanks for that! I have apparently been misapplying conditioner and cleaner!
  4. Take a mechanic or knowledgeable friend with you to inspect the car if you're that set on getting the car. However, as cars move past state lines, many details are lost such as a salvaged title. Good luck. I would wonder why they had to move it so far from Louisiana to try and sell a low mileage car.
  5. Send me an email and I will send you a pdf file showing you how to do it. discquestions AT gmail DOT com
  6. No "I Agree" touch required on mine. :) Yes, because you have a generation 5 system....
  7. If gas prices continue to rise like it is doing, you may able to make payments towards the prius with the gas money you would otherwise be spending on the rx!
  8. Navteq's map reporter site where you can tell them of mistakes or ask requests for updates: http://mapreporter.navteq.com/dur-web-exte...amp;language=en
  9. The I Agree button has been removed in the generation 5 systems only, with version 7.1 Generation 2,3,4 still have to press I Agree with the 7.1 version, unfortunately.
  10. Do you have a disc installed in the navigation drive?
  11. Good news, the destination includes private roads (very posh)! Your address is indeed in the 7.1 navigation release. You'll need to find a source for a generation 5 navigation disc, version 7.1.
  12. If you are using the OEM original disc that came with the car (2006), you are currently using either version 5.1 or 6.1. You can check by either looking at the navigation disc located in your trunk area, or by pulling up the dvd menu (Tap Menu, Tap Map Disc).
  13. What disc are you using? I would try an OEM disc.
  14. I'll know by tomorrow afternoon and let you know. Had a busy day today!
  15. I hear ya brother. The majority of people need to realize the left lane is the PASSING lane, and not a lane to cruise in at the same exact speed as the the other lanes!
  16. If it happens that often to you, I would say you were tailgating, or maybe following too close for their comfort.
  17. Lexus has added to the navigation database with the more recent navigation 7.1 dvd release. The new dvd covers the entire provinces of Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia. They have also added coverage to Alberta: - Rebuilt 4 Interchanges on Hwy 2 in Calgary Area - Realigned 2 interchanges of TCH west of Calgary construction of Hwy 43 fro Gunn to Glenevis & Greencourt to Fox Creek (Lao Ste Anne) - Added 25,114 addresses and 1,180 miles of streets Though you house may have been there 20 years, it all depends on if it was covered on the map database. The map does show coverage of Calgary and Edmonton on the map coverage screen. If you want, pm me your address and I can see if it shows up on version 7.1. The above updates only reflect the changes from 6.1 to 7.1, and so if you have an earlier version, there will have been more updates made. discquestions AT gmail DOT com
  18. Sorry but idling the engine will not recharge your battery.
  19. Sent you an email. I will need to know the year and model Lexus to provide the appropriate info.
  20. If you have any stains that you want to take out of from the leather, try a solution of 1 part woolite to 4 parts water. Leather conditioner is also recommended.
  21. Matt, a copy won't most likely work in the 2002 SC.
  22. Could be a separate fuse for the memory seat buttons and the seat adjustment. You may want to pull off the sticking switch cover (if you can) and clean any buildup that is causing the slider to stick.
  23. The 2006 LS430 has a generation 4 system. Upgrading is the same as in all Lexus dvd navigation systems, accomplished by simply inserting the new navigation dvd. You can email me: discquestions AT gmail DOT com
