u can get the bolts and/or plastic clips. dont need a new bumper. nut it looks like u have rust on that fender might wanna address that... -

What's The Name Of This Front Lip ?
sakataj replied to juan3023's topic in 93 - 05 Lexus GS300 / GS400 / GS430
I thinks it's a TTE. Good luck ! you are indeed correct it is a TTE lip check the classifieds for a used one as they come up from time to time last one i saw sold for 180 in good condition or buy one new http://l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=501 or here (sewell offers discounts) i THINK with a certain discount its 260 pm me for this info http://www.sewellpartsonline.com/parts_detail.asp?id=88844 you might be able to find one cheaper....i dunno? -
on our specific model......its similiar to most BUT you actually CANNOT access the bulbs with the housings on....for some reason they desgined they so that had to be unscrewed and removed to access ANY bulbs so please stop yanking on the housings and trying to pry/pull them off as it sounds like the OP is doing. are you changing bulbs on the inner lights or outer tail lights? Outers are easier to do as they only have i think 4 10mm bolts holding them onto the car. dont forget about the 3rd brake light in the rear window....it will set off the bulb out indicator and if you have a oem spoiler with lights it will also.
-
IF its the servo motors your after, i can save you some money....i just did a extensive DIY on this easy at home replacement....will save you bout 400-600 if you doing both the passenger servos now drivers servo isnt cheap or easy here check this out http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index...showtopic=53999 it should help

Trying To Black Out My Gs400
sakataj replied to BigBlak's topic in 93 - 05 Lexus GS300 / GS400 / GS430
just my $0.02 dont smoke the tail lights by putting tint on them or spraying the exterior lens. if u gonna do that, i would suggest buying ones made like that as you'll find its hard to actually crack open the tail lights for some reason without burning/melting or braking them. headlights on the other hand are easy to crack open....toothpaste will work, BUT meguiars plastic x or tyhe 3m headlight restoration kit will work better along with a little sanding, but FYI if you dont put some clear coat or clear 3m UV coating over the top they will QUICKLY yellow again as you have now removed the UV coat.... check this out Vent Visors/ Rainguards ;) heres some OEM JDM ones that are cheaper.... http://www.l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=46 -

Shaking While Driving Of Speeds Over 60
sakataj replied to DizzleOC's topic in 93 - 05 Lexus GS300 / GS400 / GS430
check to make sure you didn't bend your LCA, your tie rods, or etc etc....yes i would say if you hit a pothole hard enough to bend BOTH the front wheel and rear wheel you probably need a alignment. if all that turns out ok, make sure the wheels are in spec even though they were fixed....make sure they were fixed properly our cars are rear wheel drive so last time i checked the cars REAR wheels are actually the only ones weighted and balanced. since he bent BOTH a front and rear wheel i wouldn't skimp out here, i would check both the back and the front! but im with mlgs300 as i said make sure are suspension parts are tight, secure, and not broken -
ok i guess i'll try and help clean up the spelling/grammar....cause for some reason this week its more noticeable to me what i meant was that as i slow down to a stop the motor and everything else turns off, then i have to put my car back into park to start it up again...and it will work fine again? is this what you essentially saying.....? whats with grammar/this week? maybe im just getting dumber....i dunno man i cant seem to understand ne1 this week, maybe i should get some sleep or something! regardless i think i catch the drift of this.... but again.....i say its a loose wire, a dying battery, a dying alternator or something silly like that. do u have a amp meter you can put on the battery and check starting (cranking amps) and running amps?
-
dude, your grammar/spelling are AWFUL. i have no recommendations as i never stated to have used either one of them BUT i will be trying the leatherique. will probably get this fri....BUT since its been raining on and off again since like 3 weeks ago dunno when i'll get it done. soon i hope!

did u check the battery connections? battery and alternator? sounds like a loose wire but im not sure yes.... explain this.... " but it did happen to me recently that my car did totally shut off as well that i had to turn off my car and start it up again and it would be working fine." if your car totally shuts off how CAN YOU turn it off and start up again? do u mean it totally shut off and you put it in neutral, took key out and started it up? im lost by what u mean u turned it off if car was already off

-
what? im not sure what your asking.....r u asking if dealers will ship leather cleaner? if thats what your asking then, yes... here is a post from a friend on another site http://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-second-...ers-no-56k.html he likes that product, its a tad expensive but it looks good and i was set on the lexol yesterday but not i might consider this... its gonna be either lexol or leatherique. funny long as i have owne my car....i have washed it,steam cleaned the carpets, waxed it, detailed it, leather conditioned it, and leather cleaned it it but never actually WASHED the leather like the lexol site recommends.. http://www.lexol.com/auto.html .i might have to try this..one of them needs done soon, my interior is disgusting and its rained on/off for last month! so i cant even think of when i cleaned interior last :(

Heating And Cooling Problem
sakataj replied to darrylg33's topic in 93 - 05 Lexus GS300 / GS400 / GS430
ok.........the drivers side servo, DOES indeed control the heat on the drivers side...or the dual zone for the drivers side. either way, this is NOT the servo you want out, replacement DOES require at least pulling some of the dash down (dealer says you must remove dash) but it can be done with the dash lowered. this will not be a fun, cheap, or easy fix....im sure the servo (depending on where you get it will cost you bout 140-200 but labor will get you on this one. sorry man, let me knwo what you end up doing and if you do it yourself PLEASE do a DIY write up so some of us can see this one....odd though its not often i hear about that one going out so i wonder if they are better servo's on the drivers side or a different brand or something -
