  1. The Toyos are the summer tires, we dont get them up here because we get snow. They're not all season radials.
  2. Yeah but you have to take that into context. Generally taking the foot off the accelerator won't provide enough, if any, braking to slow the car much at all, its generally the rolling resistance of the tires that slows you down here. Now, I've done a lot of mountain highway driving, and when descending a grade you MUST downshift if you want the engine to slow the car's descent. Letting go of the gas makes it go faster!
  3. Acura doesn't really count though, they're built in the US therefore the parts are easier to get.
  4. Thats how all luxury carmakers are.
  5. Welcome to the site Unfortunately there is no way to plug a more modern phone into the existing system, you would have to have a totally new setup wired in.
  6. Don't believe the AutoSpies. They make stuff up as they go along.
  7. The gentex mirror is what they use on the 03 ES, thats what I'd suggest, I'm sure it comes with great instructions.
  8. Just changing it regularly. Every 3 is great, every 5 is fine also. The engines dont deal well with filthy oil.
  9. Welcome to the site, congrats on the new RX!
  10. I love the auto dimming mirrors, the new ones have the sideviews that dim. You can get the one on the new ES from www.gentex.com
  11. Personally what I would do is get a Gentex mirror, these are the mirrors used in the 02-03 ES300 as well as the GX470 and I believe the new RX330. They are almost a direct replacement. Gentex Mirrors
  12. The engine is suceptible to oil sludging which can cause it to seize if the oil is not changed properly.
  13. I reccomend these, the reviews are fantastic, I'm going to put them on my ES. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...romCompare1=yes
  14. They reccomend it for the new one too ;)
  15. I think we'll definately see a facelift for 05. One thing I do believe we'll see is the new steering wheel with audio control from the RX330. Maybe a backup camera, these things would be easily implimented.
  16. I've run tires on several different types of cars between 27-29 and haven't had any improper treadwear. Me no likey bumps ;) Bumps BAAAAAAAD!
  17. Michelin Energy is what came on mine, not impressed and overpriced. This is a smooth car, but the right set of tires will REALLY make is supple. The Energy's are better then the Potenza RE's Stevie has, they're some of the worst tires on the market. Read the TireRack reviews
  18. also try www.lexus-parts.com. Be warned though, both are a pain to replace...
  19. www.lexus-parts.com They have a good deal, you give them the VIN and the key comes programmed and cut.
  20. Everything that I've heard is that the ES330 will have no sheetmetal changes. I've been told maybe smoked headlights, or slightly revised taillights, but nothing really that wouldn't bolt right up to the current one. Personally I like the sound of ES330 better.
  21. Eh, I've always seen the resemblence, even in the Gen 1. Its not so much a brother sister look as it is a family resemblence. I can see Toyota in Lexus and Lexus in Toyota.
  22. $180 is actually quite reasonable. You wouldnt be able to put the cover on yourself, you'd have to send the shifter off to somehwere like American Stitches. I'd just buy it from Lexus.
  23. I've got a Porter Cable Orbital Polisher, makes the little woman mad because I'd prefer to sleep with it at night. Its a lifesaver ;)
