  1. I personally prefer them in this order G3, G4, G2, G1 I can't quite warm up to the looks of the 430, the front end seems to heavy and the car seems tallish, but I love the interior and the extra added features. Whats everyone else think?
  2. Which one do you like the most guys? Please discuss. Here's G1: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/gallery/LS/LSG1 Here's G2: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/gallery/LS/LSG2 Here's G3: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/gallery/LS/LSG3 And G4 http://us.lexusownersclub.com/gallery/LS/LSG4
  3. Welcome Don! Always great to meet another disney world fan! We go with my mother every year for New Year's. I've never had the guts to drive though!
  4. What happens is the window seal rubber dries and cracks, creating wind gaps. Amf is right about why the ES now is a solid door more or less. Basically the only way to fix this permenantly is to replace the seals, which really isnt that big a deal actually.
  5. Look here. Sewell Lexus has the update for $250 and includes the SIMPLE instructions on the site. That should tell you the profit margin on that dealer's update... http://www.lexus-parts.com/partdetail.asp?...ubCategoryID=73
  6. Woah! The DVD based navigation? Thats INSANE. Basically thats $500 labor to put the disc in. My God! I've heard those prices to upgrade the hard drive navigation, but never the DVD.
  7. I'm going to move this over to the detailing forum. I've used Zaino but have recently switched to Poorboys EX with great results. You can email Steve from Poorboys for pricing at poorboysworld@att.net
  8. Yeah sounds like that one is best left. I do agree that the 93 model in particular is the most reliable, but that doesnt mean the others aren't reliable, they're still about the most bulletproof cars on earth.
  9. Most Lexus dealers will do the installs, but they'll charge you for it for sure. You can buy sets like these at any stereo shop or even best Buy. What I would reccomend is you pick up another set of headrests so they dont go cutting into the originals.
  10. One of the service guys at my dealership has a 91 LS400 with almost 500,000 miles on it, and it runs great. They will literally last forever. I do however disagree with the statement that the old ones are built better than the new ones, the same quality control is still there and they still run until the wheels fall off.
  11. I had a real bad experience with the SP 5000 on my dad's LS400, the tire cupped and scalloped badly giving a bad vibration. I'm looking to replace the tires on mine too, when and if I change the wheels. One tire that really peeked my interest were these Continentals- http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...romCompare1=yes They're cheap and they have outstanding reviews. I've heard some bad things about the LSH and V and the Dunlop SP Sport A2s. Another little tip, you really dont need the V rated tires on the car, H is more than sufficient. They're cheaper and ride smoother.
  12. Wow, screw them I agree. Hell, Mercedes sells the nav system and then you have to pay for the ORIGINAL DVD I'm afraid Lexus will develop the same arrogant "we're better than you" syndrome as the others. That will really be a shame. Sounds like its already happened to this dealership... What did you pay by the way, if you dont mind me asking...
  13. Wow, screw them I agree. Ask Lexus corporate (you can do this through the owner section of the Lexus website) about the upgrades. They're not all that expensive, $150 or so but still. Hell, Mercedes sells the nav system and then you have to pay for the ORIGINAL DVD
  14. My Explorer is really bad about this, so bad you can't even breathe after the A/C hasn't been used. Glad it worked out
  15. I've noticed that they've gotten more scarce... It also depends on where you go too. We have 4 dealers here, one is in a lower income area, and they tend to have every model in base form, they even have some ES with cloth seats. The others, in more expensive areas have more nav cars.
  16. I'm FAIRLY sure its +50, but dont quote me on that. I've been searching for these too.
  17. Definately a mold issue. This happens to me whenever spring rolls around and I use the A/C again. Use a product like was mentioned above or even Lysol to kill the barteria, just spray it down in the cowl at the top of the hood where the air is taken in.
  18. Right, plus cell providers are no longer required to provide analog coverage, so it would be spotty.
  19. I'm very glad the GPS car came with the changer, I hate the one feed deals. The paperwork is surprising, only took me 15 minutes. Thats a dealer specific thing though.
  20. Push the dealer on it, they'll give them to you free. When I bought mine I was informed of this by the dealer, plus when you selected the nav package on the car price sites, they all said it included two free upgrades.
  21. Definately have the dealer look at the issues, Lexus is great about chasing down noises. Mine is still noise free.
  22. They're cheap gas station tires, replace em.
