  1. I like it, it looks like it has a little SUVier shape to it than the current RX, a little more like the Highlander.
  2. Everybody's getting tired of the "pot stirring" as Bob puts it wwest, knock it off. Nobody here has to answer to you for their choices and we're all well aware of your disdain for the direction Lexus has gone with their hybrids. We've had to listen to it over...and over...and over again for many years.
  3. One of these days you're going to call me when you're up here and let me buy you lunch ;)
  4. You might really be surprised...
  5. I belong to a Prius board too and its always an argument over there. Driving a car that way is just a hazard...
  6. Seriously there is a ton of room up front, very high roof, lots of legroom,
  7. Check out the detailing forum
  8. You can use anything on the wood you'd use on the paint, its painted with a clearcoat. Not much you can do about the ring marks you mention, they're actually little dents in the wood's clearcoat.
  9. I think you're confused by the language. It doesn't say it restartes when the engine is started, it says that it starts counting from when the engine is started, as in it doesn't count when the engine is off. Its poorly written, but obviously it doesn't restart when the car is shut off.
  10. If you have the latest version Nav 7/1 removed the "I AGREE" screen. I've been agreeing for 5 years, its no big deal. I like having the map screen constantly up. I like my OEM system just fine vs the Garmin. Thowing the thousands spent on the OEM system away... Sorry. I have absolutely zero interest in a portable GPS.
  11. Don't be that way, this is a new member looking to us to answer a legitimate question. Save the sarcasm.
  12. Oh man, what a loss! George Carlin is my favorite comedian too. I watched his latest HBO special a couple weeks ago and I remember thinking how frail he looked...
  13. Gas mileage wise there are a lot of cars that make more sense. The attraction of the Smart isn't just the fuel economy, its the size and the ease of driving it and parking it in the city.
  14. Mine has never reset every time you restart the car. Are you sure the manual says that? All the Lexus vehicles I've driven have an E/T readout that doesn't reset when you restart the car...
  15. Do you have costco there? Try Costco.
  16. Maybe the Versados are better, I had the Proxes TPT and by the time they had 20k on them they were just awful. I jnow steviej had another set of Toyos and his were the same way...
  17. Try out www.lexuspartsonline.com they have the parts "drilldown" which is what you're talking about with the exploded views.
  18. Seeing her get in and out of it is funny lol, she's very thin and wears like 3" high heels all the time.
  19. They're neat, we went and drove one. They drive and ride very well, you'd never know you were in a vehicle that size. A coworker of mine is 6'5" and she just replaced her Grand Cherokee with one and loves it. They are funny to look at though lol
  20. With the 8 speed transmission I can bet you were getting 34MPG at a steady highway speed...
  21. That makes sense on the 3 year design cycle. it'll be a minor facelife a'la 98 LS vs 95 LS, 04 LS vs 03 LS. I wouldn't wait for the 2010, if you buy in 2010 and you're following the design cycle, the LS should be all new in 2013, why not wait until 2013 at that point? They're always going to be improving the car, the LS is a great vehicle and even the older ones still look fresh and modern. Jump in and buy one when the timing is right for you.
  22. This is why you need to read through the detailing forum on here. This is not always true. I for instance do not like Zaino. It has always been true in the experience of myself and many others, even if some people feel otherwise :P There's a decent list of factual scientific reasons Zaino > Wax from a longevity and protectorant perspective as well... from an aesthetic perspective it's more an opinion thing Zaino generally beats NXT in the testing I've seen as well FWIW I'm not going to get into a Zaino argument, but people who push Zaino have a tendancy to dismiss people who don't believe its the best thing ever invented as not knowing what they're talking about. Thats not true, many people don't care for Zaino. I used it for years and while its a good product and is very long lasting I don't like the look on dark cars, and I don't like the fact that you can't use products with blemish-hiding properties underneath it, and if you wash and wax your vehicle regularly the longevity isn't really much of an issue. Zaino's good, but there are a lot of other products out there which are good as well.
  23. Ground Zero still a pile of rubble? Pffft, ever been to NYC and looked at it? Ground Zero hasn't been a pile or rubble in years. Its a clear and buildable lot, has been for a long time. The development has been held up by a lot of different factors as the cool article Alan posted shows. Does this look like a pile of rubble? http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&...mp;t=k&z=16 Here's what it looked like after 9/11, I'd say they made pretty good progress... http://www.stopgeek.com/wp-content/uploads...t_photo_911.jpg Saying that Ground Zero is a pile of rubble due to a lack of work ethic is a dispicable and offensive untruth. Many people worked very, very hard sifting through the rubble and cleaning up the site at the cost of their own health and unfortunately as the future will show us, their own lives. You should be ashamed of that statement.
  24. Have you used the Sync? I have and thought it worked extremely well.
