Ls 460 Voted #1 By Consumer Reports

Like what features? -
Gold calipers? Yeesh...not my thing...

Personally I'd stay away from anything having to do with success...being rich...or anything like that. I'd be afraid of vandalism or rage... Plus I think its a little "douch-ey" personally. Theres a BMW here with something like "Success" and it always makes me chuckle...and not in a good way.

Then don't pay them to do the job, find another dealer who will do it for less or for free or live with the LPS settings the way they are. I'm sure the dealer assumed it was an LPS setting. In any event it doesn't justify lying to get the dealer to cover something under warranty, thats fraud.

For $5? I wouldn't bother.

Looks awesome Smooth! I normally don't like modded cars and aftermarket wheels, but yours looks *great*!

Your initial post was perfectly fine, its your bizarre assertions that somehow SK and us were in cahoots with the dealership that would certainly be considered by most to be paranoid rantings. From the very instant that your post was responded to you've been very rude and insulting towards SK even going so far as to insult his spelling and grammatical skills. I mean...come on....really. I can't imagine why the dealership is being difficult with you when you keep discussion to the issues like that. Jim (1990LS400) and I posted some very good advice and discussion points but you don't seem to want to talk about them...you seem to want to continue attacking SK... What you have to understand is you reap what you sow. You come on here and you've been extremely combative and accusatory, especially towards SK, when information has been thrown at you that doesn't go your way. Surprise, now you've gotten that back. Its a give and take, if you only want people to see your side of an issue then write it in a diary...don't post it on the internet. You asked if we thought you were being reasonable and what our opinions were and he gave you his. Don't like it? Don't ask for it. You can't ask for someone's opinion and then when they give it say they don't have any information and therefore don't have the right to have an opinion. Maybe if you wanted the opinions of lawyers only then you should have asked some lawyers instead of us. Had he agreed with you I somehow think you would have been a lot more accepting of his spelling and grammar I think this thread has run its course, good luck.

You can also use a power washer on mats, works really well. The reason detailer's extraction machines don't work is they don't know how to use them. If they have REAL extraction machines they absolutely get more than just surface dirt (the OEM Lexus mats aren't very plush). The proper way to extract carpets is as follows: 1. Vacuum well 2. Presoak mats with carpet cleaning solution and allow to dwell for 15 minutes 3. Agitate mats heavily with a stiff carpet brush (they make attachments for buffers too actually) 4. Rinse/extract mats with HOT water from the extractor Many people try and use the extractor to do the cleaning with the solution, it doesn't work. The cleaning needs to be done manually and the extractor used to suck up what is left over.

Told ya so ;)

If the vehicle is in the shop for warranty work taking more than 6 or 8 hours, I believe Lexus pays the dealer for you to have a FREE loaner car. Some dealers charge a small $5 or $10 fee for loaners for non warranty work, mine doesn't.

And that justifies lying and stealing from the dealership how? "They're incompetent so its okay to screw them" Doesn't work.

Modded My Is, Should I Get Tint Now?
SW03ES replied to couchpotato299's topic in 07 - 13 Lexus IS250 / IS350 / IS-F
Its finally time I fess up....I'm a wizard. lol Actually as soon as I read the thing about the moving the IS emblem over to the 2 and 5 and getting rid of the 250 I knew it was him. Only he's a big enough tool to worry about something like that. Thats what made me check the IP address. From there we can run an IP search and see all the members registered under that IP and also search for all the posts made with that IP. With the IP address we can actually find out the member's ISP (Comcast, etc, his is Bell South), get access to the emails we need to send complaints about abuse and spam, and even find out the city and state that their web substation is in. My pen is also a dart gun too ;) -

The Lexus dealer gave you a Camry loaner? Thats a bummer. -
First Time Using A Buffer [if I Order One]
SW03ES replied to LS 0181158's topic in Lexus Detailing and Car Care Forum
For instance I would not buy a Flex to replace my PC, I've learned to use the PC well and my guess is to me a Flex would probably be better, but not worth the added cost. However, the Flex has more power which means it will take less time to work out paint issues, thats the real benefit. The PC will work and work well, it will just take more time to work through paint imperfections. What color is your LS? If I were still detailing for a living today I wouldn't use a PC or a Flex, I'd use a rotary. Too many cars out there with really hard paint. -
Are you going off what the trip computer says? I bet they disconnected the battery which reset the computer and gave you the extra range. As data gets stored the range will go down and down and down until its where it was...

I think they are probably the same brochure with different covers. The one I have says "LS" on it I think...

It all depends. The $400 includes a Lexus loaner which may or may not be important to you, and the security and value of an uninterrupted Lexus dealer service history... Thats why I used the dealer for all those years...I have it serviced at an independent now. -
First Time Using A Buffer [if I Order One]
SW03ES replied to LS 0181158's topic in Lexus Detailing and Car Care Forum
I have a PC and like it, I don't use it much anymore because I've got my process down to where I only need to machine polish my car maybe once a year. If I were buying one today though, I probably would buy a Flex over the PC or the Meguiars unit. I've not used the Flex, but most people who have used it and the PC feel that its an upgrade in power and polishing stregnth. My advice would be to relax, theres no way you can hurt the paint with an orbital, just do some reading here and on Autopia.org and take your time learning the ropes! -
Yeah absolutely, keep us posted!

Thats great ris, please go post on those forums then because we don't want you here. You don't seem to get it, we're not going to let you post before we ban you because we banned you...for good. We don't want you here, and that doesn't change with the passing of time. Account banned and reported to ISP for abuse. LOL I love people who get thrown out of a place, fired from a job, or broken up with and then act like it was their decision to leave. "Sorry you lost a user" LMAO. Obviously we're okay with losing you as a user ris...I've banned you three times. We'll have to make do with the 89,000 other users we have. It'll be tough...we're all going to have to hold each other together and do a lot of praying...but we will get through this. :D -
Ls Navigation -- Call For A Class Action?
SW03ES replied to LS460L's topic in 07 - 16 Lexus LS460 / LS460L / LS600h
No, theres no code that I've ever read anything about. The only way to override it is to buy one of those override kits that have been discussed on here that interrupt the signal from the system's speed sensor so you can input information. That or use the voice commands...you can input destinations that way too. -
Hey Brett, I got your email as well. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find it...
