If you have lots of “stuff” in it and flush, you can cause more damage; clog ports, valves etc. I think I'm in the clear......I flushed it when the car had only about 43k miles on her. B)

Yes, you're going from most reliable to least reliable <_< Ford and chevy are the worst cars you can buy. For Ford, I agree.........for Chevy, it depends on what specific model were talking about. ;) :whistles: But having said that, to answer the original 2 questions.....yes & yes. B)

Beg's the question......I wonder why your Lexus dealer does not invest in a flushing machine like that......seems like it would be a good investment as I too like the 100% fluid change idea. B)

I never saw a pix of there valve cover or valves to see the carbon or varnish. Plus I never stated it (varnish) is a problem but you WILL have more with dino; It is a FACT here. It is the nature of cheap dino oil. Not going into it but do somehome work on oils and then post back. It is not apples to apples. So that is 1 person with 320K miles...and that means? What is the car history, location, driving habbits, fluid, person driving (age) etc????? Showing a screen capture means ZERO. Feel free to take this offline of on bob is the oil guy. I will be more then happy to talk about it. Boy I'd like to be a fly on the wall for that conversation! :whistles: ;)

The only adds I would add to the oil are Auto-Rx or Lube Conntrol. I use Lube Conrol FP60 in my fuel and it is unreal. The engine is smooooth. It was smooth before but even the wife said something is different!!! :) I just bought some Lc20 tonight. I want to make sure my Amsoil is running clean. So this is money well spent I feel. Plus I have there (toyota) world-famous slugde engine, so I bought there Lc20 to clean more if Amsoil is behind. Where can one purchase the FP60 fuel system stuff mburn? & how much to use & how often? This stuff looks intresting.......I'm gonna pass on the LC20 stuff.....I think the Amsoil & filter are more than enough imo. B)

Agreed, you would be very hard pressed to find a better overall value than the Falkens for the type of tire you get for the money (with the 60,000 mile treadwear). B)

Correct, Michelin has many manufacturing facilities throughout the world, not just in France or Europe alone. B)

What is the current factory size on your IS? And to help us better help you in selecting the correct tire, tell us some of the things you are looking for? IE: long tread life, good wet weather & snow traction, how much you want to spend etc. The more detailed you are the better. B) The Pirelli's are a pretty popular choice, but there are others.

The triple treads do not come in any sizes below a 55 series & their largest (at least as of today) is 225 55 17. B)

I'd do the flush & in fact you might want to seriously consider taking it to a shop that does a complete 100% fluid change as opposed to just a drain & fill. Use the correct type of fluid (Toyota type IV or compatible....so your other choice would be Amsoil synthetic ATF) & consider installing a new gasket & plug washer. If your able to get all service & maintenance records for the car, there should be no problem other than routine maintenance & 'regular' wear & tear. ;)

I did a drain & fill in august with Amsoil synthetic ATF which is compatible with Toyota Type IV fluid (same as mburn uses.....mburn correct me if I am wrong).......my tranny is shifting just fantastic! What "service issue" specifically are we talking about? You mention your doing research on buying the SC & then you stated "I would like to use this as a measure of how far they are really willing to go to make sure my service issue would be resolved".

I hope if an AWD option is offered at some point, they develop one in 'partnership' with Subaru now that Toyota has a steak in them.......one would be hard pressed to beat Subi's in the AWD department, that includes Toyota & Lexus. ;)
