  1. You can find out for yourself by going back to the website your posted the link to and go to car audio and video, then select "outfit my car" and put in the year, make and model of your car, then Crutchfield will tell you what head units fit and what won't. As of right now, as far as I know, any hu replacements for the ISX50 would be considered a PIA custom install, and there are no aftermarket direct fit kits available, as the radio is seperated and other car functions are incorperated into the unit along with the voice command system and the steering wheel controls. So aftermarket comapnies would have to make a radio specifically for the IS model, as now they just make hu's and then make mounting kits for individual cars.
  2. I think I would steer towards the Murano before the Flex. And if I were to step up from there I would take the 4Runner and/or the RX.
  3. I have kind of hopped around from label to label as well. And really, I like Griot's stuff. I got the buffer kit and the MF towels and so on, and I love the interoir cleaner and the leather care. The paint sealant they sell is really good also. Has anyone seen the new little light that charges up in the ciggerrette lighter spot? I got it the other day and I have to say that little light is pretty cool. I don't smoke, and no body smokes in my car anyway, so being able to pull the lighter and put something there that I might need in the future anyway is nice. I love the blue "halo" light it makes while it's sitting in the holster charging.
  4. I got mine from here: JVD GRAGHICS. They have held up great! and the fit was perfect!
  5. Man those rims look great! Very nice! I would paint the calipers black and put red lettering on them. That would be really nice. I think you may have an issue with painting the calipers red if they don't match the red on the rims. Or polish the calipers to a chrome like finish, black letters and clear coat it. That would be really nice also.
  6. You know nc211, Your right on the money!! The only ones who say " Give the people what they want!" are the ones who make money off of doing it.
  7. Oh,,,ok, that makes more sense. :) I'm really curious what this turns out to be. I bought an ECU from a totalled IS 350 and we are looking into the ECU and possible "modifications" and what can and can't be done. I have to say we have been very dissappointed so far. It seems they have purposely put in some safe gaurds and program protections. Not to mention a bunch of new tech that we have to figure out to see about Air/ fuel and timing adustments. I have to say nothing even looks promising at this point.

I did the install myself. To view the details please visit Modifying an IS 300, Chronicles of a Dream Ride in the 01-05 Is 300 Forum. I did a full system install and replaced the amp, speakers, and head unit. I have had no issues at all.
  9. So the issue was the power supply to the ECU? Is it fixed now?
  10. Well, from your description, it sounds like the spot your parking in. Do you notice it when it's parked somewhere else? try a flat parking lot like at the store or something. If it is uneven, ( which would be very strange indeed.) It may need more time to settle.
  11. Stock auto trans will hold about 350-400 hp, and a manual will hold around 275-325 hp. On the auto, if you add more than I would say 75 ish hp, then you should atleast do a valvebody upgrade.
  12. The updated information on the disc which contains updated map info and so on is updating your nav. You find the latest version compatable with your nav system, and let it reload your system. Done. I would call the dealership service deptartment to find out what disc version is out for your car, and then look around on Ebay to get one if you want to save a few bucks.
  13. pretty sure it's stainless steel. I would take Mothers to it. Should clean it right up.
  14. These cars are picky. I would just make sure you stay with Denso's. You''ll have to check for the vacuume leaks if you think you have an issue there.
  15. LOL!! POS portables!!..... You might wanna keep a 2-D nav backup system folded nicely in the glove box. LMAO!!
  16. Well, if you can find your way back to the dealership, maybe mention the brake pad dust issue. Other than that it's up to you if you want an oil change or not.
  17. Welcome to the LOC! When you get the codes post em here and we'll see what can be done.
  18. But 55% of all new car buyers are woman also. And the top selections by women are the Toyota Rav 4, the Toyota Solara, Mazda Miata, and the Honda CRV all with 75% or better women buying ratios. I didn't see the RX on that list, but I also didn't see any "luxury" class cars on it. So it may have omitted that class completely.
  19. A legitimate issue is still covered by a warrentee even if there is no TSB to referrence though. I would call the service department and ask for someone. Then explain the issue. So when you go in, they are expecting you, and are already aware of the problem. Maybe tell them you need someone to go on a ride along so you can have them feel what you feel so they can expereince it first hand. Once they acknowledge that the problem exsists, they will have to address it.
  20. I again like EBC. Either Green or Red. It's up to you. Hawk makes a good pad also.
  21. It's a nice finger spot for 2 Advils or Tylenols though. Or that emergency breath mint! LOL!!
  22. It could 1 of 2 issues. The easiest one is if you have some air trapped in the cooling system. The best way to get it out is to take the radiator cap off and run the car with the heater on full blast. (That will open the heater core, and let the coolant flow thru the entire system.) Let the car run until it comes up to temp. and all the air pockets have been pushed out. Refill it with coolant and replace the cap. You should be good. The other issue could be a noisy actuator valve for the a/c system. I've heard just doing a system evac. and replacing with new freon will solve that issue. I haven't had this problem, but I have read others who have and this is what they did to fix it.
  23. I have purchased from HERE before. They don't charge for shipping. The PowerSlot item numbers you need are 716 PSL and 716 PSR for the front, and 739 PSL and 739 PSR for the rear. If you want them Cyro'd then you have to specify that and it takes 7-10 additional days as they do it by order. Just get the slotted. they work great and I've put alot of miles on previous sets with never a problem.
  24. Although silly, I allways wondered about that. Before it was a coin holder it was a blank. There was nothing there then right? What,,,they couldn't figure out what to use it for so they just made it a coin holder?, or was it part of the 06' plan that in 08' they would then have a break out feature " The coin holder". LOL!!!!
  25. Well, I know one is for the Rear sunshade and the other is for the headlight cleaner.
