  1. Seems that the 16k maintenance is an oil change and a bunch of inspections... I would rather pay my mechanic $40 for an OEM filter/oil change and get him to inspect everything for free than get *BLEEP*ed by the stealer for $180...
  2. I am due for my 15,000km checkup and wondered if I had to go to the dealer to do it to preserve my warranty? I lease the car and don't want to get nailed at return time if I haven't followed the recommended maintenance schedule. I have a private mechanic who does the work for 1/2 the price of the dealer and I trust him 100%. Paying Lexus to check the pads, fluid levels, etc at $120/hr for labor is insane. At 15k, I presume all I need is an oil change.. Thanks
  3. I picked up my new 08 250 MT 5 days ago and although I love it!!, I am experiencing the same fluttering and loud shifting between first and second at low rpms. I am taking it in at 1600 km for its first inspection and wondered how best to position this problem to the dealership so that they will not blow me off and not take it seriously. Is there a legitimate repair option that they can do to eliminate the problem? In the past, with other cars, it doesn't matter that there are millions of people posting online about a problem - if the OEM hasn't release a TSB, they won't do anything. Thanks
