  1. Yeah, that is either a ballast issue or a bad cnnection. But my money is on the ballast.
  2. Hello, and welcome to the LOC. Please don't type in all caps. Little Vvti box? Are you talking about the engine cover?
  3. Take into consideration that you just bought a used Lexus. The ECU "learns" your driving habits and makes small adjustments along the way. As I am sure you drive the vehicle differently than the previuos owner, it may be an issue of the RX just relearning your driving habits over a given period of time. You could make it quicker by resetting the ECU. Just disconnect the negative battery terminal for about 15 mins. Then reconnect it. You'll have to reset the clocks and your radio presets and all, but you will notice the RX behave differently. Then give it a few weeks as it learns your driving habits and adjusts. See if it is still an issue then.
  4. I've had my IS 350 now for a about 5 months. And I haven't heard any rattles. And I drive on some cobblestone streets. As for the back seat, I have 70 year old mother in law who walks with a cane, and an 85 year old aunt, and they both have ridden back there to various places, and at the same time, and no complaints from them at all. ( And they can complain alot!) And would have if it was bad.
  5. I buy and sell a few cars. And you have to have a PDR guy, and a detailer. It's really nice if your detailer is a PDR guy, but anyway, I try to look for places that have a real business. A shop with bays, not a van with magnetic signs on the side. When I leave the auction, I call him and tell him what cars I got, and he goes and picks them up, and DRD's them. (Details and Removes Dents). I sell the cars and he gets paid, we do it all over again. All your used car lots have a PDR guy. Maybe ask around the used car side of the dealer you go to. Watch him work on one of thier cars and determine if you want him to work on yours. That dent should come right out. I would think less than a $100.00 bucks for the first time.
  6. I got the 000,000.42
  7. Hello Lexus Lady. Welcome to the LOC! If your not going to use the cup holder I have seen alot of aftermarket magazines like Autosport.com and some others that have a rubber like insert that converts the cup holder to anything you would like it to be ( cell phone holers, coin holders, etc.). You may want to look thru that site. As for the cargo net, Try checking with some of our supporting vendors along the top of the page here, I'm sure you will find what you are looking for. Just under the banner, you'll see <> buttons that will scroll thru the vendors.
  8. Sounds like a logical starting place. I don't know about being able to to use the local auto parts store MAS, but so long as it is the same MAF, then ok. Let me know if it does fix it or not. I don't think it will solve the throttle issue though. It may take care of the cel you have. Don't forget, it's a drive by wire system. I actually think that is the delay you may be expereincing.
  9. Wow, I'm glad you got it fixed! In my first post, (#3), I thought for sure it was the fuel injector, and in my next post I asked you if you had inspected the injector seal. So I was on the correct issue to begin with. But this isn't about being right or wrong, it was a good lesson. Thanks.
  10. A mouse pad huh? Do you think the cardboard is going to hold up over time? If your still using the aux. line in, then you have to operate and select the playlists and all from the ipod itself. Can you push and control the ipod in that holder you made or do you still have to pull it out and do what you want, then put it back in?
  11. I don't understand your question. If you have a Nav system, you are tracking your car with it. Your the little red dot in the middle of the screen. It's tracking your position as you move.
  12. So what did you make that out of? Is that a fabric on the outside? What is the white powdery stuff on the back along the plastic trim? Where are you running the Ipod cable? Are you using the auxilary system or the Ipod interface system? Just curious. :) Looks like it could be a practical idea. I didn't know the blanks bothered you so much. Maybe you could have installed an ejector seat button there, and twin 50 mm cannon switches with a self arming guidance program. too late now..... the Ipod has a home.
  13. You shouldn't have to pry anything. There are 2 screws in the bottom of the tray, the a/c vents covers and the tray itself are all one piece. That just lifts out of there and then the new one fits right in it's place, use the two screws to reattach the tray, then there is a false bottom that goes over that to cover the screws and plastic support mold area on the bottom. Your done.
  14. I'm coming, I'll try to get it up tonight, maybe tommarrow. (I thought it was here at the shop, but it must be with some other stuff at home.)
  15. If I have read your post correctly, it sounds to me as if the stereo security system has been enabled. It prevents a stereo from being used after it has been tampered with. The dealership should be able to reset it. You have to get the code and enter it. I haven't encountered this with any Lexus or Toyota radios before, but I do this for alot of Volvo's.
  16. Yeah, it's the same. The bottom is just lower to allow for the nav screen.
  17. I'll file this one under "Huh, nice to know!" LOL!! A little bored there?
  18. Isn't there some issues with some of the wireless phone providers? I'm not exactly sure, but some phones have to be Authroized or permissioned to connect everytime to a Blutooth system. Maybe it's a phone thing, but I thought it was like Verizon that did that? Or maybe it's Verizons phones only? I have a Sprint Katana, and that connects automatically after I start the car. and when I turn the car off, it goes back to the phone automatically also. If I have a Blutooth headset on, it cancels the headset and switches to the car automatically, and when I turn the car off it changes back agian. I don't have to do anything. And if you have the Ipod interface kit, it pauses the music while your on the phone. ( I really like that.)
  19. Sure, no problem. I'll be here. ;)
  20. ??? How is the car driving? is it a shifting problem, or a hesitation, stutter, stumble problem? I was under the impression the car wouldn't shift or had hard shifting issues. I don't understand how we went from a transmission issue to an 02 issue.
