  1. Thank you for the list of commands. I linked to in the How to thread.
  2. I cruise different forums often. So I went to the Bimmer forums and thought I would share this: Bimmer Forums Notice the thread titles." My engine is Toast! ", " Help me stop the brake rattles ", and " Pics of burnt out winddhield washer pumps". "Metallic rattle!", and "My suspension is shot after one year?". Ahh yes, the mighty BMW.....it's just another car. But then I found this little nugget! B) 2JZ swap into BMW 528i And this isn't the first case of this happening. HHmmm, I guess I'll have to look around our forum to see about the BMW engines swaps into Lexus models......
  3. So what are thier accuracy claims?
  4. ...... Yeah why not? Happy birthday WWest.
  5. Hello, welcome to the LOC!
  6. Why don't you just see what they are selling for on Ebay?
  7. Here are few of the motor be worked: OOhhh..... AAAAhhh.....
  8. To update everyone here are a few pics: The day the car came in: 2002 IS 300
  9. Like it's not sick enough to skim next to the mountain edge, but watch close & you see he'll roll over on his back for a while and fly belly up ... and when that's not enough, a couple summersalts. (shaking head) I know!! That was awsome! Way cool! after the video they had on the side a list of related videos, so I looked at a few more and there was this guy that had jets on his ankles and used the same wing suit to actually fly!! When he first jumped off the hot air balloon, the camera guy who jumped with him to film it was just falling, and you watched this guy just disappear! Man that was just too cool!
  10. I used Duplicolor high temp clear coat paint in the spray can. It's held up just fine. One note though for those of you about to use caliper stickers. 1) Paint your caliper the color you want, and however many coats you want, and let dry. 2) Apply the caliper stickers. 3) When you go to spray the clear coat on, put on a super light coat first. Let it dry and then put another light coat on it, let it dry, then start going heavier with the coats. Be patient with this. If you put on to heavy of a coat right away, the caliper stickers edges will lift slightly, and it looks terrible then. I would do 2 or 3 light coats, then 3 or 4 medium coats to finish it up.
  11. I'm not really a fan of either to be honest. Nitto's are way to noisy, and the Falkens are to far behind it compound technologies.
  12. that's pretty close to the real price of these cars today. The overall condition and mileage really have huge effect on the price, but the IS 300 has held it's value incredibly well. I just sold my 05 IS 300 with 36k miles on it for 24k.
  13. Bartkat has helped alot of people. :)
  14. Welcome to the LOC! Way to use the search feature! :D
  15. That is uber hot!! Why isn't that out? I think I would find the cash for that! ( although it's a 2 door, so it would be relegated to the toy list.
  16. Your thread has been removed as selling in the general forums is prohibited. We have a buy and sell forum for that.

The reason you cannot post in the buy and sell forum is that only established members may use the buy and sell forum. Once your avatar no longer says "New Member", will you then be allowed to post in that forum. These forums are provided for the members of the LOC

  17. I have to say that I have really come to like having the nav system. Not just for plotting the course, but some nav units also show every exit, and rest area as a list along the side of the nav screen, with how far it is to that exit and what resturaunts, gas stations and hotels are at the exit, long before the signs along the highway do. I have also used it to scout the area for a nice resturaunt. It shows you a list you can select what kind of food you want, and it shows the distance to each selection. So when you think you have found one you might like, you just hit "call" and it dials the number for you so you can find out if they are open, attire, and price range, and so on. When the call ends, and you and the wife say ok, let's go there, you hit select and it plots the course to take you there.
  18. Are those AR rims?
  19. I think your having a catalytic converter issue. I would take that in to the dealer as it's still under warrentee.
  20. Absolutely true. I got one to drive the last time my IS 250 was in for service. It is a pretty quick little SUV. Here's what Edmunds has on the RX350: Performance Acceleration (0-60 mph): 7.3 sec. Base Number of Cylinders: 6 Base Engine Size: 3.5 liters Base Engine Type: V6 Horsepower: 270 hp Max Horsepower: 6200 rpm Torque: 251 ft-lbs. Max Torque: 4700 rpm Maximum Payload: 1399 lbs. Maximum Towing Capacity: 3500 lbs. Drive Type: FWD Turning Circle: 37.4 ft. ... and on the IS250: Performance Acceleration (0-60 mph): 7.9 sec. Base Number of Cylinders: 6 Base Engine Size: 2.5 liters Base Engine Type: V6 Horsepower: 204 hp Max Horsepower: 6400 rpm Torque: 185 ft-lbs. Max Torque: 4800 rpm Drive Type: RWD Turning Circle: 33.5 ft. WELL THEN WHY THE **** CAN'T THEY MAKE THE IS250 FASTER! GEEZ thats kind of a rip off <_< They did, and called it a 350.
  21. I haven't really done any more work to it. I have some pics of it on my other computer I can put up later. I have been just too busy running 2 companies right now. I have also been debating on just putting the 300 on the shelf and doing some cosmetic mods to the IS 350 in the mean time. I am going to lower it, get new rims, put a lip and or splitter on the front, and a lip on the rear, do the exhaust, and so on, but I haven't even had time for that yet! for the last few months, I wake up, it's dark outside, I go to the office, then to the shop, and when I get home, it's dark. I forget what my house looks like sometimes!!
  22. The CD changer is a notorious problem. It has been discussed here many times. You really have 3 options, Open it and try to fix it yourself, as the dealer won't fix the cd player, they will just want to replace it as they don't have an audio electronics technician on staff, and are no more qualified to work on cd players than you or I. Next is to replace the stock CD player with another one. While this may fx your problem, it may be come an issue again as previuosly stated, this happens alot with the stock cd changer. And the last option is to just replace it with an aftermarket, better cd player. Which is the route most other go. If you choose to replace the stock unit wioth another stock unit, we have as authorized vendor, DCfish who can get you another CD player.
  23. What do you mean 2 inches back? To be honest, this is a problem I would need to have the car in front of me to even be able to give you some real and useful info. Does it do it if your standing still? In other words if you go to the car, start it, and turn the steering wheel from lock to lock, do you get that clunking sound?
  24. I changed the rims out again later. Post number 334 has pics of the car with the new rims on it.
  25. I was informing the OP of the features the Nav screen offers as he may not be aware that after spending the cash to install an aftermarket Nav system, he would not have some of the linked features the stock Nav screen offers. I wasn't debating the button vs. touch screen, or the pro's and con's of nav vs non-nav. So you can stop with the unnecassary comments. And thank you for repeating what I said about the ipod kits.
