  1. Personally I think it's quite mild considering the conduct of the loser who hit them and then ran off without caring if anyone was injured. Tom
  2. I have a Cen-tech from Harbor Freight--works fine. Tom
  3. I have owned them, driven them, and repaired them a LOT. Tom
  4. Gryphon is a Greek mythological monster with the head and wings of an eagle and the body of a lion. I chose the name after eating bad Chinese food with my good American cousin in Griffin (an alternate spelling), GA. I'm actually Tom.
  5. Flatsixcrazy, sorry I misread your original post. Gibbie, good proofreading. Tom
  6. Thank God it isn't an intelligence meter. Tom
  7. Discount Tire is a privately owned company based here in Scottsdale, AZ. I don't think that they have any affiliation with America's Tire Company. FYI, Discount has have a great business philosophy of promoting all of their managers up the ranks, instead of hiring from the outside. Many current managers started out busting tires, up to and including corporate level positions. I was not impressed with the Tire Rack referrals to installers when I checked them out a few years back. They were simply small, independent car repair facilities, charged considerably more than Discount Tire for mounting, balancing, etc. And most importantly, they probably won't do any warranty work for free if you have a tire problem, as they didn't sell you the tires. Tom
  8. It is, in fact, a lovely warm day in Arizona. But you can dig me back, dcfish, when we break 100 degrees for several months this summer. Tom
  9. I was too lazy to go out last night and drive my 400 to check the color of the bars, but today I drove off and had solid green on local roads for at least 5 miles. Now I'm gonna be watching the stupid thing constantly....thanks for nothing LSB3096. Tom
  10. You'll need WAY more amps from your 115 plug, than the car can provide ... errr so I've heard ... ok so i've worked for the public defenders office ... that doesn't mean my customers were necessarily experts on the subject, right? :whistles: And my car will stink for miles around...errr so I've heard. Tom
  11. Rey, Dave, etal. Discount Tire is strong in Arizona and and excellent company to do business with. I get all of my tires from Discount and have them match internet prices. The best of both worlds. See my previous post corrected to tease Dave, not Rey. Tom
  12. I'm still at 0% so it apparently takes more than one Tom
  13. I"m working on a marketing a portable meth lab. LOL Tom
  14. I have no experience with Toyo's; I assume they're Japanese? If they work as well as the Yokohama's I have owned they should be great tires at reasonable prices. Tom
  15. You'd think that the Girls Gone Wild bus had arrived at Dave's door. Tom
  16. Does this get me my first warning? LOL. Should I try some naughty words and see how my gauge progresses? Tom
  17. Wondering what option or package would have given me the rear luggage compartment 115 volt accessory plug on my RX400h? I just found a possible use for it and wish I had it--bummer. Tom
  18. I give up, what does "Warn: (0%)" mean under my name? Have I been a bad boy? Tom
  19. Andy, there is a decent picture on the Lexus site: http://www.lexus.com/models/RX/accessories...eceiver_RX.html I have also seen the hitch installed on a couple of vehicles on the Lexus new car lot. It is quite unobtrusive. It also is sufficiently tucked under the bumper so that you won't bump your shins when you are loading/unloading the trunk. I do plan on visiting some aftermarket dealers here in the Phoenix area to see what they offer, but suspect I'll end up with the somewhat overpriced Lexus hitch. Tom
  20. I'm in Scottsdale, Ryan, and need some similar lead(s) for my RX400h and LS400. Tom
  21. Sounds like a good way to quiet down back-seat drivers. :chairshot: Tom
  22. I have one of these too. Shoot me if I'm senile, but I think I found it at Walmart. Tom
  23. MadloR, how does the Lexus cargo tray look with the rear seats fully foward? Is there a front lip? I think I could live with black. Tom
