  1. Same here, my 93 300 rear main has leaves small drips in my garage now for 3 years. I think its about $400 to fix but so far no problems just check oil level ounce in a while.
  2. My 2 cents. Had rough idle problem. Replaced Idle Control Valve. Better idle but still rough after driving a bit. clamped off EGR hose Bingo! Car is running perfect. ERG valve with labor $160. Not today. 92 SC 300 stock 156,555 miles
  3. My problem was Idle control valve. $700 including install-OUCH. They also want to clean injectors $150, is that reasonable?
  4. I just had my 300 in shop and I will be replacing idle control valve. $700 ouch! They also want to clean fuel injectors for $150/ Is that normal? Car has 155.550 miles and runs great. They are master toyota lexus tech's.
  5. Wow must be door gremlings this week. It just happened to my 300/ I think the cold weather had something to do with mine. Passenger side opens from inside only. There are DIY on Club Lexus forum- might have to remove door panel:(
  6. My mechanic quoted $600 for RMS. He didn't think it to be a problem as long as I check oil level every couple of weeks. Just a few drops now and then on driveway. $1200 is too high. Sorry I'm in CO. BTW I also did valve covers and plugs first. Doug
  7. great prices, which style did you opt for?
  8. welcome to the hotest interior of any car you will own. Most of the heat is from tranny. Make sure your AC is in good condition! We all have the same experience. On the other hand here in CO its nice in the winter. Big engine big heat.
  9. My rear main seal leaks also, will not ruin your engine just check your oil and don't let it get too low. Its anywhere from $350 to $600 to fix depending on where yo live. I would get radiater fixed right away.
  10. On the 300, Im assuming it should be fairly easy, it's it's an inline engine so as long as you can get access to the top part of the engine and stick a spark plug socket in there, you're good to go. I tried searching the forum to see if there's any write up, but there was an error, not sure if that's because im fairly new. Its a pain had mine done when I had my head gaskets done.

  12. I have the same leak and it is main seal. Good news is I have been told it will not cause any more damage, just make sure you check your oil and keep a cardboard box under car :) I have an estimate of $600 to have it fixed. When I do it will also have engine and tranny mounts replaced. I hear that makes a nice difference in ride. Good luck. Doug
