Hey, my Lexie looks like that :(, my mom drove the $h*5 out of it, and didn't use the insurance moeny to repair it :(, and also the side of my lexus has a scratches an such. So basically, only thing I have with body work is the front right side is dented -glass is broken-, and the left fromt side has some white marks and a small dent, while I have numerous scratches around the car, while on the right side passenger door, there is a white scratch that seemed to almost pierce the metal. :( darn you mother!!!!. So what, a paint job is like a thousand dollars, and for the body work is like 3,000? my parent's don't want to fix it since its MY car, but I have cleaned the itnerior, exterior, and under the hood :P And im off to college in about 2 years, so I don't think i want to spend 5k on the car yet lol. Actually, is a good paint job around 1,000 dollars? and i'll probably have to get an estimate on the dmg, because im not REALLY sure :P

It's a video that you can buy online or over the phone, and the commercials are on at night, like 11p.m. and t shows people doing stuff illegally on public roads. Street racing, bikes being riden upside down or standing on their seat, and all these other stunts. For instance, there was this one, where these kids were driving a car, hit around 60 or something and crawled out and was standing ontop of their car and as the car approached the stop sign, it had slowed down enough to stop right in front of the sign, how crazy is that? But like most things in the world, "s*x sells", so there is some adult content not suitable for children. here's the link. But, it may be stupid, just like most videos you see on those commercials :(

Cool video, have you guys seen the video on the infomercial that has people upside down on bikes, or cars doing a complete 180 on the highway and such.. gotta admit, that's pretty nifty, but sorta stupid endagering the lives of others.

Where was it a done at? Dealer or a local mech?

I don't think its broken. I have two other remote keys, that have new batteries, and they both can't lock/unlock the door. I think it's something with the car. :(

On my 92 LS key, it has the LEXUS logo, and then on the side there is a button that is barely visible, but it's made of rubber and you can press it. what does it do?

Alright, you have some options, you can buy your LCD screen and install it the unit yourself but you need good soldering skills, or you can send your unit to a shop for it to be fixed, or go to the dealer and have them reinstall a remanufactured unit. But i can tell you how to remove the unit, first you need to lift hte center console trim releasing clamp. ( the wood along the shifter) then if you want, move the shifter into L position, and reach under the ashtray and pull forward realeasing hte clips, now you should be able to see the bottom of the radio unit. Now put your two air vents above the climate control facing down and pull it forward, and disconnect the emergency flasher. Now remove the four screws that are at the top of the a/c unit and bottom of hte radio unit. disconnect all wires and your radio unit should be out, and you can send it to a shop that specializes in fixing dealership lcds. heres a site that can do it. http://www.mikadotech.com/

Yea, only the driver has airbag. 92, doesn't have any on the side only from the wheel :( makes me feel unsafe :cries:

So im gunna need to buy a tool to read the error codes ?

Im driving a 92 ls... that is 96 and later

Does anyone know the procedure to get the error code out of a 1992 LS 400 for the trac and CHECK light? And does anyone know how to interperet these codes?

So what's so special aboutn hte 93?? it semes JUST like the 92. what kind of improvements are there?

So what brand of ramps do people here usually use to look under their car? And I really hate that front plastic bumper or w/e... can't get up the bigger ramps with that in the way <_<

I don't know if any of you guys have ever played Grand Turismo 3, but, I want to go drifting so bad :). I may take my RSX Type-S drifting someday. I don't think it would work very well with the 92 LS tho :(

When you first start your car (after it's been running for about 10 seconds... is the TRAC OFF light still on, inside the dash board? Or does the light just turn off and on when ur driving? And when you press the TRAC button, it's not suppose to click or anything, it's very light, requires little pressure. It's probably lighter than the cruise control button and it isn't meant to stay depressed in the 1992 Lexus or of any that i am familiar with.

Well, i dont want to switch to R-134 which isn't as cool as R-12, but I dont have the "tools" to properly recharge my A/C with r12. and im not sure if i have a leak or not and not in the mood to get it checked out

Yea... since June, the weather hasn't even hit in the 90s' or HIGH 80s'... great weather, since I don't got A/C in my LS 400 :)

I'm actually disappointed.... there isn't much more variation from the 2002 to the 2004 LS 430 :(... but boy is it a beauty :)

Well... my 92 LS 400 seats aren't as comfortable as a 2002 LS 430.... the seats are more stiff, so I use sheepskin covers, and it actually feels a lot better.

My A/C has been out for about 2 yrs... and im sure we needed to recharge with refrigerant... but we didnt at the time cause we thoughti t was expensive.

You don't have to "fix it" just playing with you buddy :), but it be a lot of help if you would just look at it, lol... you can PM me where we can meet and etc;
