  1. Are the 92' LS 400 rotors internal bearing or not?
  2. You guys sure that the 92 LS 400 aren't internal bearing rotors?
  3. I don't know much about the brake system, but I thought Lexus used the rotor assembly that is more expensive and is actually part of the axle, i forget what that type of rotor is called... but i know it can cost $150 a piece... but this pulsation isn't a small one it'll actually jerk you forward a litte, not a little nudge
  4. Ok, been a while since I've posted but recently my 1992 LS 400 has been toying with me =(. The problem is whenever I brake, the car shakes, and it's not like your usual warped rotor where it's a nudge, when I break it's almost like it's forcing me forward, the entire car pulses. It almost feels as if it's the anti-lock brake feeling (that type of pulsation). Now, I was wondering how much a pair of rotors for a 1992 LS 400 SHOULD cost, and if I were to take it up to a mechanic, how much I should expect for them to charge + labor for changing my two front rotors. Thanks guys

    Road Trip

Well, I live in Missouri and I want to take a roadtrip to Texas this friday(about 900) miles and I was wondering if it's a good idea to take my '92 LS400 with 200,000 miles on it? It has lots of room and stuff, but I don't want anything bad to happen to my car for driving long distances. Is it a good idea or not? BTW: I'm 16 so we can't rent a car
  6. Haha, just been so caught up with school - AP/ACT/SAT/admission to West Point and crap that I haven't had time to come on the forum and such. I actually found out what I had to do - put the key in ignition and turn on/off 3x and leave on after third time and there would be a chirp. then i need to hold down on the program/override button for 5 seconds, and i actually DON'T have the program/override button so i might have to order a new gargoyle thing just for the stupid thing, but I emailed them to see if they'd send one for free :D . So how about KU and the big 12?? SOOO glad MU lost to OU yesterday, haha, and K-State didn't stand a chance either =)
  7. Alright, been a while since I've posted but I was wondering if anyone knows how to reprogram my "Gargoyle Crimestopper 2-button" remote for my 92' ls400. It use to work(about 6 months ago) but I haven't bothered with it until I heard that you can reprogram it and all. The fuse seems to be fine and all, and etc; Anyone got the instructions for programming the transmitter? here's the img of the remote P.S. when it use to work and i pressed the buttom it would lock the door + set my alarm
  8. The only vibration i get in the steering wheel is when i start hitting 60mph +, where it goes on and off
  9. I see, but doesn't the vibrations in the back of the seat usually mean that the back rotors are bad? And, the shop was meineke... aren't they reputable?
  10. Ok, it's been a while since I've last posted with school and all, but I my chair is vibrating for some reason, when I press the breaks. I went up to Meineke to get an oil change (free w/ a coupon i got in an entertainment book). I also asked them to take my wheels off while they were at it, and my brakes pads and rotors where fine on the back seat ( assumed that it would be on the back axel ), and the front also looked fine. So, I asked the head mechanic there, and he said, "the most likely problem he could think of is that, the rotors needed to be rotated, and he said that right now it would be a "guessing game" to see which axel needs to be rotated; all 4 would probably needed to be rotated at 15 per rotor($60) and, $100 labor." So, I'm not sure if this guy is bsing me or what. But should I do it? If i were, I would want to do the back two rotors first, right?
  11. Bush blows for wasting everything in Iraq.. not like there's a good reason. When I say waste, I mean the lives that can not be replaced, the cash that we don't have, and the more problems being caused.
  12. You can always get parts at a Toyota/Lexus dealer or some E-Bay stores
  13. Hey! I like Barbara and her stock option tips!
  14. Sometimes I wonder if Bush attacked Iraq for personal reasons. The more they anger the Middle Eastern countries, the less oil is allowed into the states, which in turn boosts oil prices that causes his own oil company to profit. I forget the name of commission that allows how much oil is sent to the states, but I know when the Iraqi prison video came out, they quickly lowered how much oil was sent to the states.
  15. Heh, im afraid to drive my lexie on MO roads, what about u alexR? you gotta admit that the roads are terrible.
  16. There was a show about the Auto Show in Bejing on SPEED, and wow, there were some NICE cars, that you can't purchase in the states. The Toyota Crown is very nice, it's equivilant to the Lexus. Then, the you have new Benzs', Bentlys', and other brands that are showcasing new cars.
  17. Heh, Raymore isn't as small as you think!! We've got H2 Hummers :D, btw 99lsguy lives in Lees' Summit, so we are all in about the same area!
  18. Ive got about 198k on my 92', i'd can see it going another 100k w/o major problems :P
  19. LOL, I'm starting to think O'Reily is a Republican, or just defending the president. Anyways, the 12-minute arguement/debate with Moore was very interesting :) And wow, 9/9, closer than I thought, if you don't mind me asking, what are the reasons for voting for Bush/Kerry? Whoever thought there would be so much Democratic support by the entertainment business?
  20. Just doing a little experiment to see how close the votes will come to
  21. I guess we all have troubles sleeping at night from constant thought of our Lexies :P
  22. Proof as in a death certificate? lol
  23. Sometimes when your driving you can get tired from looking in the same spot over and over, if you look around at not in the same spot over and over, in can prevent you from falling asleep
  24. What about the pay-pal donations? l
