  1. i believe the seat belt warranty on this car is 5 year or 60k miles. i remember reading previous posting that replacing seat belt assembly will resolve issue at $150(part) per side. therefore, i am trying to get some instructions to on how to replace the unit and save some $$$ on labor.
  2. Hi Rx2man, I have one for sale if you're interested. 96 LS400 55.8k miles 2nd owner 1st owner was older lady Email me at sir_kin@yahoo.com for more info if you like. i'm in the southern cal area.

  4. mmm... I think I will try to replace the lights on my own. LCD display is fine, just the back lighting is out. Thanks for all the feedback.
  5. Thanks for the reply. Where can i get a LCD screen? Couldn't i just replace the bulbs for the back lighting inside the radio unit? Thanks again,
  6. The radio back lighting was out when i got the car. i can see display fine during the day, but impossible to tell during the night. any quick fix for this?
  7. No luck. No one makes a cat-back system for the LS400.
  8. Removing part or whole exhaust system from car will enhance performance up to a point. an engine is nothing more than an air pump. most factory exhaust sytem are too restrictive, thus prevent exhaust from engine exiting fast enough. but, engines are design to have some back pressure to suck some exhaust back into engine to warm up incoming intake gas mixture to better combustion. In the end, what you need is a good aftermarket replacement exhaust system design for performance.
  9. Do you know what brand is available for the LS400? Any suggestions on selling stores? I would go with cat-back systems and will do the work myself. Thanks again for the timing belt replacement procedure.
  10. I'm interested in enhancing the rear-end look of the car. The factory system outlet pipes pointing downward instead of staight out with chrome tips like other model year. Any suggestions? Any one knows any after market high performance cat-back exhaust systems available for the LS400? '96 LS400
