Well... why is it neccesarry for me to vacuum the OLD R12 out, if im just gunna fill it with R12 again? Is it because you don't know what brand of R12 it is and it's bad to mix it or soemthing? I'd understand you would need to vacuum it for converting to R-134

I need to take my car to you and let you tweak around with it and fix everything at no charge :) sound good 99lsguy? lol... maybe i'll buy you a can of soda for it lol

so lets say i take this to a certified mechanic in my area (non-dealership) and they say they'll recharge it. Then when i get my car back and everything seems fine... the next day all my coolant leaks out, and he can be fined 25,000?? do i get a portion of that? :)

So, I see that you ban buy a can of Freon 12, but you can't use it unless your certified. So, I need to take my car to a technician and let them charge me 150 bucks to recharge it??? Well, that sux... any1 kno a price range of recharging? i know its around 200 at the dealership

the drain !Removed! on the engine so i can drain the coolant. there should be 3 right? the left, right, and front. I can't find either of these 3.

Geez... its funny how a 92 Ls 400 as all these kewl gadgets... but if i were to buy a 2002 USED Saturn.. it would cost 9,000.. more than my lexus with less features... what a shame... and ib et the engine would last longer than the saturn :)

Well, since i cant really place the jack stands under it since my jack has a max lift height of 16.5" and is only hitting around 11", cant i just use two jacks - a scissor jack and my 3-ton floor jack- and just lift one side up and find the 3 drain !Removed! and drain it?

This is the type of floor jack i have... and i tried jacking up the car.. but it didnt lift it high enough off the ground for me to put some jack stands next to my jack... is this a cruddy jack? http://www.discountshoppingsite.com/hardwa...2593--32812.htm basically, the jack is only going up to 11" when the maximum is 16 1/2" inches. and i need atleast 14 " for the jack stands... its a hydraulic floor jack with a max of 3 tons

Thanks.. i bought the jack - stand that has a V shape for a center load. sorta like \__/. but at a WAY less of an angle. Also, its a 4 ton jack stand instead of a 2 ton. my bad.

No... the dent is actually in a little more... it would be by the brake pedal and etc; and is on passenger side too. The picture is pretty crummy in the owners manual and isn't detailed enough. If i were too look at the place i wanted to jack there would be a straight continous horizontal line with 2 /\_____/\ like that, 1 right behind the front tire, and another in front of the rear tire, on both sides of the car. should i jack IN FRONT of this? or behind it... the dent is also behind this line - about 9 inches from the line-

eh? u sure its strong enough... 3tons is equal to 6,000lbs... any1 kno how much the avg. 92 LS 400 weighs?? is curb weight the overall weight? cause curb weight is around 3,800. ANd middle of the car... as in anywhere in the middle?? i dont wanna mess up the car :( can u take a pic of the bottom of your car and pt to where i should jack it ? or... could i just use the circle jack to jack the area mentioned in the owners manual?? and if so... the "spot" where im suppose to jack has a little dent in it.. its dented UPWARDS... is that where i should jack up?

I have the 92 LS 400... and i have an O/D button, but i have been keeping it off... because i thought O/D ON gave more power... but is it opposite? like O/D OFF More Power, O/D ON = Less Power? hrmm... on my dad's car it's compeltely opposite

Do you guys usually have it on? I usually have it off, but the owner's manual tells me to "Always set the overdrive switch to the ON position to improve fuel economy and quiet driving. But, on other cars, your suppose to have it off unless your going up a hill??

k, but if i were to jack up the car... is it fine if i use a circular thing to press against the metal, since i dont have the original jack that came with the car..

Ok... how expensive is this gunna be?? and im about to jack up my car to flush it... i kno the "sweet spot to jack it up" but i dont have the jack that came with the car, since the previous owner kept it probably.. i only have a 3-ton jack that has a circle that is gunna press up against the spot... is this fien?
