  1. And what i mean from unsafe is if i were to use a normal ratchet wrench to tighten the Filler hole and just to use the lug nut wrench to tighten it, instead of torqueing all this stuff... cant i just make sure i dont tighten it too much?
  2. What are the rotors?? and when i mean rotate my wheels i mean moving the front wheels to the back and vice versa... and the only time it shakes is in the seat when i press the breaks to slow down from 50-20 or so gradually
  3. Also... im about to go buy some pads at AutoZone... which pads should i buy for the front... VALUCRAFT (Product #MKD476V)--$9.99 + 1 YR Warranty ALBANY (Product #MD476)--$16.99 + LLT Warranty. PFC-CARBON-METALIC (Product #4764)--$31.99 + LLT Warranty the rear... (the only choice for the rear... is it a good buy or bad brakes?) ALBANY (Product #MKD488)--$18.99 + LLT Warranty.
  4. Right now, im a little short on cash... and don't want to buy a torque wrench... would it be unsafe for me to rotate my tires and replace the pads?
  5. My car - 92 Ls 400- is starting to vibrate like -put put put- when i press the brakes... possibly new brake pads??? and please dont tell me i have a bad rotor :)
  6. Anyone got pictures of an oil pan and parts to the fuel system, so i can point out where oil is leaking from slowly to a moderator ive been pming lately. Thx
  7. Ok, i bought some preston super flusher to flush my system, and a gallon of preston antifreeze 5/150 Extended Life(orange color) I just noticed that that is only enough for the filler hole... how much more do i need for the resevoir tank ? prolly another gallon since your suppose to mix it w/ a gallon of distilled water?
  8. YES, I love cheesecake factory.. best place... for not so expensive food :), i'd do O'Charlies, Applebee's, Ruby Tuesday, and Outback. When we went to LongHorn we had the worst service, so we never went back :). I hate fast food, besides Sonic, Subway, and Panera Bread. If anyone here besides DobieG has ate a Cheesecake Factory... we have a newly built one here (besides the one in the Country Club Plaza) that is just gorgeous on the inside and outside. You feel like your in a palance, literally
  9. Hrmm... i haven't been pulled over yet "luckily" even though I've only had my license about a month or so, but man driving is getting boring now :(
  10. You don't need to keep creating new topics, since this is all under the same topic , but i'll do a little search to see if i can find any other info for you
  11. If you don't mind me asking... how many cars you have VMF?? I like the Acura, i personally want a RSX 2002 Type S :)
  12. VMF... you do have a lot of time to play with models lol, what a crazy hobby you have man hehe... and Sypher, how much do you pull in a year to buy those puppies of yours?? <_<
  13. Well, I'm not VMF... but I can try to answer a few of your questions :). Well, if your feeling vibrations in your steering wheel, it may be wheel balance up front... if your feeling it in the seat, then it may be in the rear. I would check to see if it's balance because it is cheaper than alignment. Well... a nicely maintained 91 LS 400 can go for a while, Im driving a 92 LS 400 with 198,000 miles and it is fine, everything is well, and I think i can get prolly 200,000 more miles lol. All i really need to do now, is to replace the front and back brake pads, and the car needs no tune-ups :) With all the problems you've listed... i doubt you could sell it....
  14. I'm sorry if I sound rude, but in this topic I have seen another person post about his race or soemthing about race.... does it really matter?? I mean come on. Maybe I am just interperting these posts wrong because it is a lot different than talking to someone in real life, but I just find that when you take a test in high school or something and it asks for your race or ethnic background or when you apply for a job or scholarship.... but hey, thats just me
  15. Forgot something about the Spark plug wires and plugs... if your going to Autozone.. usually they have a database that have what you'll need, so just ask them that you need some new "Spark Plug Wires and Spark Plugs... and while your taking things apart... you can also clean up the dirt :)
  16. Ok in one of your previous posts... This would could be due to some bad wheel balance or alignment. and also >>5 Wires are ignition wires, you should change these when you change spark plugs... and I'm sure you can get these at AutoZone.. but i go to O'Reily Auto Parts. The job is actually quite easy, but somewhat long because you want to make sure you do it right. The spark plugs are located inside chambers. On your engine, there is the Right Hand side that has the V8 32 Valve 4 CAM or something along that line and if you remove that covering, there would be 4 chambers under it, and under it is where you have the spark plugs. If you are going to wire it.. make sure you disconnect the negative charge and wrap it in some cloth or a towel of some sort. You'll also need some anti-seize compound.
  17. Well, since there is no Nissan Owners Club... i thought I would post it here... sorry, but my dad has a Nissan Sentra 97' and whenver the engine warms up or gets hot from drivign all day... it starts to leak engine oil.. any1 kno the problem or fix?? we don't know exactly where its leaking from
  18. Oh, Oh I wanna take a guess!! Well.. since your number is 564.. *2004 minus 564, two cancels into a 1, carry the the 10..* about 1440?? j/k I'm gunna guess your in the 75-80 range OR 15-20 range lol
  19. That's what I read so, I'm assuming that the green is bad but it may not be..
  20. Ha! I fooled you didn't I 93lsOwner :). I wish i knew how a v-tech engine worked.. I just now the basics of an engine like you have the air/gas mixture is injected, then the pistons push up and the fuel is ignited and turned into motion and then the exhaust comes out.. but I'm learning!!! I'm thinking about repainting my 92' Ls 400 because of all the scratches and marks. Right now its the Black Jade Pearl - so pretty - I might get the same paint job, or I may just go with a white to hide future scratches :)
  21. Did you buy this car from dealership or was it a private exchange? I would also flush my system too, make sure your coolant isn't a green color because that's bad for your engine. Hrmm... for 1,700... i wonder if i got ripped off for buying my 92 Ls 400 about 4 years ago at 10,000.
  22. Hello Brian and welcome! Well... spark plugs are what you need for ignition. The spark plug supplies the spark that ignites the air/fuel mixture so that combustion can occur. The spark must happen at just the right moment for things to work properly. Spark plugs are also easy to change out. but unless you know what your doing, I wouldn't taper with it... I can post a DIY on how to change your spark plugs and wires.
