We share quite a bit of info on here. Most people that drive by you on the street every day know nothing about you or me. ID theft and privacy is my main reason for not showing my tag. In most states, drivers license registrations are public record, because of laws that prohibit the government from keeping most forms of information a secret. For a fee, you should be able to maek a public records request to get the information. So I could go to the DMV pay I think it is $5.00 and find out CD's...home address, driving records, etc. Although I would never try to steal somebody’s identity there are plenty of people that would. It may be hard from simply getting a license plate number, but it’s always a good idea to be on the safe side of things. Being overly cautious is always better than being on the wrong end of an online crime like stalking, bullying, or identity theft.

CD I give you a hard time on here but you put a lot of work in to your mods so A+ for effort even if I don't think it is something I would do. IMO. I don't think it is a good idea to post pics of your license plate. That is why so many of us block them out on our pics. Still don't care for the bull bar on the rx but you put a lot of work in to your RX.

Did you buy the car from a dealer? Mine came without the plug as well. Called the salesman he put it in the mail and sent it to me. Funny my x5 was supposed to have a cd changer in the back. When I got home it did not have one in it. Called the salesman and was in the mail. It would not hurt to ask. If not and you are having no luck on eBay try Lexus's website.

I had the same thing the dealer had a few other complaints on this too. They put I think some double sided tape under the dash in 3 or 4 spots and it has been 2 years still good.

Rey you did not come across offensive at all. Everybody is cool and everybody should post their opinion that is what this place is for. It would be borring if everyone liked the same things.

I'm giving serous thought to adding one to my Porsche 968. No one will ever "push" me around again. :) Tom Please post a pic of that! CD- I guess it is not that bad. Still not something I would have done. I had a jeep Cherokee and I had put tow hooks on it and a hitch but there was a reason for them and I used them. The bull bar to me doesn't give a luxury suv a classy feel. Why not order a lift kit and some super swampers tires. Just doesn't fit. Glad u like it that's all that matters.

Agree with Smooth. Not saying that you can't "make" the payments but you can't afford the car. Wait until you are finished with school and then get what you want. Sorry but I think that unless your dad is prepared to pay the payments this is not smart for him to even suggest. Do you want to work to make payments on a car? Just wondering what do you think brakes or tires cost on that Lexus? Is it under warranty?

Not my taste. I love the Ls Just not a huge fan of that one. I even thought about looking for one but when I found out baby #2 was on the way I knew I needed another suv. Looks like it would be easy to keep the outside clean on it.

Man I had a E350 loaner and that was one sweet car. No kidding 55k for MB tex...talked to the salesman about a M class before I got my X5 and told him I did not even want to see one unless it had Leather. He told me that I was the first person that he ever had that had insisted on having Leather...I told him that I found that hard to believe. When I started looking at the X5's Leather was a must. I do not understand the whole MB TEX, or Leatherette...not for me.

She hates talking on speakerphone? Go figure. My X5 has bluetooth...and she can not stand to talk on it. But thanks for the idea.

Ok so I get home and my wife tells me that she dropped her cell phone and it fell under the seat. She said I stopped to look for it but I couldn't find it and it must of fallen out of the car. So I am like OK time to get cell phone #3 for her! :cries: I go out side and call her phone and I started hearing this noise and I finally figured out it was her phone on vib. so I continue to look in the Lexus taking the floor mats out moving my sons goldfish and other food french fries that are under the seat...man when it was my car it was spotless now it is the baby mobile. (Know what I mean NC) OK back on topic. Keep calling the phone keep hearing it but could not locate it. After 20 minutes of taking a flashlight and feeling around for it with no luck of moving the seat up and down up and down forwards and backwards calling the phone AAHHHA...I found it sort of. The carpet was vibrating right in front of where the mat buttons down in front of the drivers seat. UNDER THE CARPET! I mean under the carpet not the mat WTF! So after a beer...and a whole lot of How in the hell did you do that...from me. My wife who is pregnant with baby #2 is just like I don't know how it got there. Did I mention it is like 90 degrees out? So I start looking around under the drivers seat...was wondering if David Copperfield pulled some S H I T. Then it dawned on me...the HEAT and AIR DUCT from under the seat. The phone slid up the duct and went all the way up to the front of the car. HOW CAN STUFF LIKE THIS HAPPEN! Well after cutting the carpet back ever so slightly to take the duct apart I still could not reach it. So after one more beer I decided I was either going to rip the thing out or get the phone! :chairshot: I won! got the phone... WOW....I would never ever ever think that would even be possible. Anyway wife has her phone back and I feel like I accomplished something. :whistles:
