  3. great find! but the price jumped $10 in the last hour :(
  4. the lightened fly wheel will make the most difference. drove my friends (in a honda) and well its kind of fun because the motor revs really freely but the down side is that when its at idle the rpms rise and fall so i guess you call that a rough idle and well the clutch gets some getting used to depending on how light it is i stalled the damn thing well its ok my friend stalled it to and he's in top5 in our local scca (this is a 1.5L crx beating s2000's and so on) so with all of those mods i believe you can hit 14's good luck! :D
  5. it clicks? well if you keep on clicking then it will probably catch and turn over. what happens (assuming that you have a sc400) is that the starter is under the intake meaning trappend heat making it very hot so after 10 years or so it craps out the solinoids start to not make contact and well you click for a while to start your car so this is kind of a common problem so you just need to have it changed out it costs about $1100+ so well if you do it your self it costs a lot less
  6. do the lights come on in N,2, or L? has the car been in any accedents? or it could be simply the lights burned out in the dash
  7. i had the same problem and i couldnt figure out what the problem was so i was forced to take it to the dealer and after $80 of lablor+ $2.50 parts guess what it was............it was a fuse well still dont know why a fuse would blow but well it hasnt come back and that was about a year ago so i guess its ok so my suggestion is to try and check your fuse
  8. yea me too but i dont think the rear wears all that much so i might just pull the hubs out and change wheel bearings like i did on the front be cause it be came alot smoother and quieter. hell if i had it my way i would change all the bearing on the car! :D
  9. how about a getrag 6 speed for that close ratio is it close ratio? well its all good and your alot faster than factory specs with a pro diriver doing times but well you weigh a bit less with your seats tires and lady removed so turbo coming next?
  10. creeking can come with worn shocks or links like bushings. a common suspension replacement are the lower ball joints and strut arm bushings oh and did you change the sway bar bushings? i recently changed every sigle suspension piece and its back to new! good luck
  11. if the filters dont work you can try have the cooling units cleaned i think its called the evaporators.... the cooling boxes in the dash. like old mildue smell comes from there
  12. synthetics are fully compatible with non synthetics and all of the myths you hear are almost always false. you can switch back and forth and it wont hurt
  13. hey what a coincidence i went to the strip yesterday too. i didnt drive but i went for my friends honda i practically built(turbo) his fastest run was a 13.6 @105 but nothing beats those bikes out there in th 9's doing 150
  14. theres a ompany that does this but it costs about5-700 bucks(i think) but you can change the color of the lights

  17. yes thats true i checked clearence for mine about 6 months ago @120k miles all within specs. but if you do find wear well you need to measure how off it is and go and buy the right shim from lexus
  18. most toyota engines are non-interference engines from my expereience
  19. yea my drive way is so steep if i go down wrong it scrapes my lip at stock hight :o so well what can we do? repave our driveways? oh with the edfc, it enables you to controll dampening settings from inside the car via servo motors toyota has a system similar to this called TEMS or somthin but ithink on SC's it only came with it in japan.

where gas is cheap the person buying the car wont mind spending a bit more for some more power right? same with gas it will cost a bit more but they probably wont care since they already bought a $60k car. so is there a market for an SC with a smaller less powerful and probably not as smoothe engine?
