  1. my bad it wasnt c-west it was another company called VARIS i think its chinese but well whats not these days heres the website its www.loongwah.com or just go straight through www.varis.co.jp and go to carbon bonnet and scroll down to cooling bonnet and you will eventually get to the pic of the jzz evo hood
  2. c-west makes a Mits EVO style hood for our car i believe but let me check on that.
  3. yea it gets pretty loud without the kittys if your afraid of straight pipe why not look in to a (or 3) high flow cats.
  4. the price of the car with the conversin would probably cost more than that with a 5 speed already in it so be patient young grass hopper
  5. ooooo! shiny! how much was it?(if you dont mind me asking)how much does it weigh?
  6. great work! i really like the little red arrows
  7. so does anyone know who makes that plenum or is it off a GTE?
  8. yes your right turbo cams dont work to well with na motors

  11. how@‚‚‚‚‚•‚” a 3sgte that motor(if built right) has some balls
  12. Wow! what happened to this site? its all green and stuff well im in the land of JDM(just got here) where there are real jzz30's i really wish we could just CF every part of the car but the roof to the rear of the car is connected so its just so hard......so who's got an extra couple of hundred grand to give me so i can take it to Toyota in Germany where they make the F1 cars? ........anyone?.....seriously guys come on!... ... . . . . . . .well i tried
  13. come one AJ you getting forgetful yea i had the same problem with a nissan though i changed the struts and well the noise was greately reduced to almost nothing. but if you hit a bump just right you still hear it so its probably a combination.
  14. i think what you are hearing is valve chatter. i have this problem also. when under a bit of load like going up our steep driveway it chatters a bit. i thought it might be in need of a valve adjustment but i took everything appart but every thing was all within tolerences. so well in was in the process of a timing belt change so just put the valve covers on and went on with it but after i finished i was looking at the owners manual and it said that valve chatter at low rpms is normal or can happen or sumthin like that.
  15. well then go with all out stiffness the RA or the RE depending on the dampening.
  16. spring rate is only one factor in handling it also has alot to do with dampening. some of those shocks are ment for the track and are super stiff and unless you want a super stiff ride all the time i would suggest getting something a bit less intense. i am sure you can buy springs for those madels with different spring rates after to further tune the ride, but the dampening can only be tuned so much and would not be good to get race hard dampening for something you would drive on the road most of the time. and if your looking for good handling in the twisties you should look in to other suspension tuning like camber castor (if available) swaybar thickness ride hight suspension travel. all of these factors have to do with a car that handles suited to your tastes and desires. and masubi can call us when he finds a chinese company that will make dry caron doors for 500 bucks
  17. my friends was a 93(eg6) and he had Si seats but we he got some sparco speed seats. he wanted to do this before he went turbo but if he didnt get the seats he would already have turbo (just needed a few more things) so once i get back from my trip i will weld all of his piping and there will be extra (good) noises followed bY a phsssst isnt this a Lexus forum? now back to talking about lexuses which Teins are you getting? i personally want the the flexes with the edfc well that me
  18. yea i know what you mean by support from the seat really helping. i put in seats in to my friends civic (well he wanted to go the cheap way at about 20 bucksand not buy the rails and wanted me to weld them.) and i just started welding and was super motivated (tig welding) so the whole process took about 10 hours of measuring cutting drilling and welding. but all the work payed off alot. before the seats we would have to hold on for dear life during a turn( im guessing about .9G cornering?) but once we put the buckets in you just sat in there cradled like a baby. arent the harnesses supposed to bolt in under the rear seats so you dont have to drill anything?
  19. you can always shut off the trac controll by simply pulling the fuse even if there isnt a disable button. and then you can do your burnouts everywhere
  20. it all depends onthe situation you are in. if there is too much wheel spin you will definitely be slower. if you can controll how much wheel spin you have it will definitely be faster than any traction controll system. formula 1 race times dont seem to change with or without trac. controll.
  21. speakers, sun roof, titanium bolts everywhere.... um... never mind strip the whole car an aluminum plate for gauges and absolutely no interior comforts and just the engine and trans with a small battery, just enough to start the car.
  22. if you take out all those things then where does the luxury go? if you wanted an all out sports car you should have bought a porsche or an NSX or sumthin ;) so well if thats not the answer you were looking for then did you try weighing that rear wing? that thing is a pig in its self. make that in to carbon
  23. the doors weigh a lot. look at you hinges they are heavy duty too. you can get dry carbon doors from vertex for like $4000.
