  1. as a person who has replace all of the front suspension on my ls i will put my bets on lower ball joints(if they have not already been changed), inner tie rods which have been changed strut arm bushings, and swaybar bushings, both of which are relatively cheap. upper arms really dont wear that much. and in hawaii there are some mean pot holed roads and after 140k miles of that the uppers werent that bad but i changed them anyway. and if you still have the original struts then that could also be, or be contributing to the noise.
  2. look at the fuse box cover and it should state the rating of the fuse that should be in there. using a fuse that can handle more amperage than what it is supposed to be their could result in more damage in an event there is a short. meaning you could fry more than just a fuse.
  3. electrical wires or ac lines as in aluminum tubing? well if all fails just go to the dealer and they will pull up a diagram and you can just point to the one you want. like a candy store :D
  4. its not a "just" but i think its better then shelfing out 7-800 bucks. its a 2 day job if your having the starter rebuilt. if you have moderate mechianical skills then you can do it fairly easily except for the 2 nuts that hold the starter down. they are tight.
  5. i think those are 98+ +or - a1 or 2 years.
  6. i heard of a similar symptom from my friend and he took it to the dealer and it turned out to be a vacume leak. he had no acceleration prior to this hose slipping off. so have all fo your hoses checked they might have slipped loose. and turns out he has about the same milage as you.
  7. why not go and buy a matching car color spray can and paint the arms that color. or make it look like you have tein arms and paint it that green color :D
  8. one belt runs all of the components
  9. i can turn most anything that i can chuck.
  10. it wont cost that much to fix if you do it your self. at most the parts will cost 300 bucks. just take the starter off and take it to get it rebuilt and that will run anywhere from 80-200 bucks and the only other things you need are gaskets which are a minor cost.
  11. blake: thats very cool! now all you have to do is have your friend paste some rims in there that you like and see if your really like them. i always wanted somehting like that and maybe i should get started.
  12. the starter making that noise sounds like a sticking starter. it makes that sound when the engine spins the starter. if your starter hasent been changed then maybe its a good time to do it now before you are stranded at work or somewhere.
  13. you can manualy down it just move it through the shifter gate.
  14. usually the 400 is noticably faster than the 300. this is a mystery is there an elephant in the trunk of your 400? then again gas milage depends on how you drive. on my 400 i can get about 270 miles of mostly city driving on a full tank what about your cars?
  15. 93+ supra arms but i hear the 96 arms are the best just kidding the uppers dont really wear nor do the rears but it doesnt hurt to check
  16. your girls car doesnt happen to have a turbo in it does it? that would make the gas go away and the car fly and if she is complaining why dont you two trade? you seem to like the speed ;)
  17. i did a tutorial on changing the lca, take a look if you are thinkin about doing it your self. ;)
  18. i think 260 is to the wheels.
  19. i would make them for you but the thing is that i am in japan right now and wont be back home for another month. so if you could wait that long its no problem that i make it for you. well if you have any Q's my email is takasoma@hotmail.com
  20. the ac compressor is located ( when facing the engine) to your lower right hand side. and if you ac is off it shouldnt make this noise if it is off. (on and off meaning the ac button inside the car) in any case try to see where the noise is coming from and if your belt is cracking then change that.
  21. yea but all you need to do is get a 9006 kit the guide in there is just if you dont know what your bulb is. if you want you can jsut click on the supra stuff because it uses the same 2 bulbs. 9006 and 9005
  22. its actually a common problem. i had it. and you can try call toyota and see how much a 93+ supra arm costs because its the same thing and i hear they sell it for cheaper.
  23. ok here is a question for anyone who has done a gte swap. if a vvt-i motor is swapped in how does the wiring differ, or rather how much more wiring is there for the vvt-i function.
  24. not really. have a pic?
