  1. over my summer in japan i purchased some oem 3rd gen denso Ballasts and some phillips 5000k D2S and osram 4300k D2R bulbs. 2 sets for roughly $330 planned for HI and LOW beams. some modification was required to the bulb base so that it would sit in the headlight housing far enough so that light could be projected. i will post more pictures on the details later, after i finish changing out my rear hub bearings.
  2. my 90 had a leak when it was about 5 years old. everything looked fine but it was the seal that was faulty.
  3. i recently purchaced 3rd gen. denso ballasts off or a ls 430 and i just put it in my sc with some modification to the bulb base on a D2S burner. i got the pair of ballasts and phillips 5000k bulbs off of a subaru legacy in japan for about $160 total! and it works great!
  4. looks good and the price seems good! nice buy!!
  5. that would be me...um i dont know how much the part is because i made the part myself, and um it is fairly easy to change out so it is a diy deal.
  6. you can get 350 miles on a tank? :o man thats alot!!! i can only get 270 max maybe a bit more like 280- if i dont rev it as much but thats still alot.
  7. didnt you hear what the italians said on the commercial?
  8. the soarer in japan in a fully or nicely loaded package costs 6300000 yen. at todays exchange rate thats $56,890.011 its about the same here as it is in the mother land. ;)
  9. thats what im talking about! lets stick a blower on there too! so whos up to being the department of finance here?
  10. if it still presists it could be that the oil pressure is low.
  11. hell lets just shove a bigblock in there
  12. i wonder if thats possible. thats probably expensive because you need to get all the ecu and stuff and do wiring. you might as well get a vvt-i motor or go with the original plan with the 3uz
  13. your a man of few words sounds like the switch is going bad to me. i had a similar problem with a customer on a merc. but those switches are really cheap looking.
  14. well if you can you should see if your alternator is charging because it could just be your battery going bad. and well if its your alternator then you probably need to fix the leak on the ps pump. the alternator should come off preatty straight forward.
  15. i have similar problems with my previa van (toy. of course) and well it used to shift too much between 2nd and 3rd. so i was looking at the tps sensor and stuff around there and found a vacume hose that had become old and hard and looked like it leaked so i changed the hose and now the shiftyness stoped but now it will only shift up during driving and it will only shift down manualy or when i come to a stop.....so maybe its something to do with a vacume leak(s). but i dont really drive that car so i didnt bother with it further.
  16. if the light looks like any other car than its probably halogen if the light turns on and its kind of blue at first then turns white then its hid.
  17. i think the 300 and the 400 have different size brakes as the 400 needs 16 inch wheels to clear brakes and the 300 has 15s. try check on that unless you want to go to smaller brakes.
  18. if you just want springs then they will run about 2-300 bucks and maybe another 60-100 to install. but if you just want to lower the front then it would be cheaper both inparts and labor try check out Tein, Eibach... stuff like that and apparently supra springs fit too so you can look for those too.
  19. same could have been said for the IS...but there is no replacement for displacement ;)
  20. i dont think so but fujitsubo makes a full cat back.
  21. i think thats a normal thing for these cars. my 90 does it and i think its just the tranny shifting like you said but we let the gas on too soon so when it engauges it hits kind of hard.
  22. water might have gotten in to the distributor cap/rotor area.
