  1. cuewl B) vertex is coming out with a wide body kit soon, and its the first wide body on the car that i thought looked any good, care to give it a try? :D
  2. 40bucks wont hurt your wallet that much
  3. oooo does this mean that your going to put on the CF front bumper you had?
  4. may also come out pink...
  5. well if you feel like doing it yourself then there are many good tutorials on how to do it with pictures so its fairly simplified.
  6. i just read a mag in a news stand(in japan) and there was a line up of all of the new lex cars, the hybrid LS will have a total out put of a little over 600 hp, and that v12 someone mentioned is also going to be twin turbo. the SC will change slightly getting a facelift for a more aggressive look. i forgot about the rest, the IS has like 3 different versions and yadayada cant remember any more but twin turbo v12 sounds excelent and so does hybrid output of over 600 horeses.
  7. check out the workshop tutorial section there is a tt brake upgrade tutorial on the second page, there is a parts list in there, but it also lists the rear parts but you dont really need that.
  8. yea the rack is failry accessable i think the hardest part will be getting the spline shaft from the steering off, and on, either that or getting the ball joints off the steering knuckles. good luck!
  9. you can take a look at what it looks like on my tutorial, but you also need a puller
  10. yea i could chop one up if you needed
  11. that deflector also directs airflow to the rotor thus cooling it. the LS being a big car needs the cooling so it is recomended that you bend it away or cut where you see is needed rather than cutting it completely off.
  12. i can agree with that because my 93 doesnt hesitate. and well in 96 didnt the motor change a little? it went up in HP too, to like 260? or something so they probably corrected this. as for fixing this the car obviously didnt do this brand new off the lot so there has to be a fix....but i cant really think of one...
  13. well he was told that the brakes were at 50% so that would be his problem if he didnt fix it right away. as for fixing the car, how about fixing it your self? it will save you hundreds if not thousands in labor costs, having the starter replaced can run upward of $1000usd. if you do it yourself you just need to buy a few gaskets, and the starter or you can get the starter rebuilt. speakers go out after 10 years, the cone rips and thats that so you will have to get replacements that match your needs, replacements from lexus are really not available. and after your done with this this car should treat you very well this car has relatively few problems compared with the LS simply because it is simpler. but common suspension problems may occur so be aware.
  14. oh i thought those pics were yours.. my bad altronic has enough pin outs so you can run all of the functions of the car.
  15. bad ground somewhere?
  16. hell you spent all that money already you might as well go standalone.
  17. well the rear trailing arm bushings keep the rear arm in place from moving forward or backward along with up and down. as for the really hard nut and bolt i used a jack to break it free instead of pure brute strenght. and since people are having so much trouble getting these bushings off maybe i should start to sell them? just a thought...
  18. no r/c. but there are a few plastic and metal ones in japan
  19. thats kind of expensive. i think i will try to stick to the speed limit.
  20. if its not the timing then it also sounds like you didnt plug in a coil or something electrical
  21. yea the roads in hawaii are really bad in some places and hard rain doesnt help the road either, it seems to just wash away things... k9crew, if you need a mechanic to do your stuff i can take a look;)
  22. its not all that minimal and im sure if he gets the tuning right he can get a 100 hp gain.
  23. my friend ordered an sr20 from there the motor was good but they gave him an auto harness and computer with a 5 speed trans so the wiring for me was a bit trickier. and they switched the crank angle sensor and just slapped it in so the timing was off so i had a little trouble starting it but otherwise everything was ok.
  24. on the rock too... about your shifter, you can take it off by taking off the phillips screw that faces the center console and maybe push the button out from the inside?
  25. well what im trying to get at is if the LS had 16's cant you just run wheel spacers to offset the stock rim and run the LS calipers? stock sc rims dont have the right offset in my opinion and wouldnt hurt to come out a bit more.
