  1. IS250=205 HP/185 TQ That's ashame for $30K+. I understand that you get Lexus world class luxury, but isn't it a "sports sedan"? You better like going slow. Anyone know the curb weight of the 250?
  2. I like turbos much more than SC's, but it is not for me and price is not the deciding factor. Basically, the owner likes superchargers and wants to use what he likes. I am not one to argue the person paying. I will try to contact BLITZ. I will post regarding the availability when I find out. Thanks!
  3. Why would turbo be that much better? So, does the Blitz kit even work with the US spec SC430?
  4. Hey everyone. Does anyone know if the blitz supercharger kit will work with the USDM SC430? Has anyone done this or know of anyone who who has? What are the differences and/or modifications necessary? Thanks all! P.S. I did a search
  5. I am starting to take mine apart right now. And by right now I mean here and there throughout the week. I will let you know how it goes. :P
  6. I didn't know that tokico made illumina adj. for the supra. I will look into it. The KYB AGX has only 4 adj. points. Thanks!
  7. I just picked up a 92 5spd SC300 in really good condition, but the A/C didn't work. I thought "no big deal, the rest of the car is cherry", clean interior, runs so smooth, etc. . . . Anyway, I started poking around the HVAC after I had a friend charge it. Now the A/C worked, but it smelled like !Removed! for the first 5min everytime it fired up. So, I went to replace the cabin air filter, and it was missing. I looked in the hole and saw leaves and sticks and dirt. I pulled down the air box cover and there was so much muddy gunk stuck in the evaporator and it smelled horrible. I tried to clean it out with the shopvac It turns out that the evaporator had a leak in it anyway, so it needed to be replaced. So $380 later. . . . I will replace it this w/e. So all potential buyer in the higher mileage market, check the cabin airfilter before you buy. It is very easy to do. Just pull the panel down under the glovebox and you will see 4 wing nuts. Undo the wingnuts and pull down the filter. . . if its there. FYI. Regards
  8. O.K. Bubbles, you are a wealth of SC300/Supra information. Thank you again. You must own a lot of supra parts or a supra.
  9. Hey bubbles, thanks a lot. I had a feeling someone would chime in with the info I neeeded.
  10. The colors seem close enough that you can only notice if you really try. Anyone know if the electrical connector for the position control motors are the same?
  11. BTW, I did a search here and didn't come up with a lot of info on the topic. Thanks!
  12. I know the JZA80 chassis are shared between different Toyota based cars. My question is if the Eibach springs designed for the MKIV Supra will lower the SC300 more than 1" as does the SC300 Pro Kit? The Supra Pro Kit states 1.2" front and 1" rear. Since the Supra is lower than the SC300 from the factory, my deduction assumes the same spring will lower the SC300 more than that spec. Has anyone done this setup? I'm just starting to play with the SC and like low cars. I don't want to sacrifice too much comfort, after all, it is a Lexus. The SC Eibach Pro Kit only lowers 1" F/R. That seems conservative to me. I don't want to splurge on coilovers, but want more than 1" lowering. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks people.
  13. I can get away w/o heated seats, my concern is the wiring for the position controls.
  14. My !Removed! on fire would surely suck. How 'bout those electrical connections though. Will they plug up with out mods? thanks all!
