  1. did the second gen LS come with 16s or 17s?
  2. well you can look on the net for an engine importer around your area preferably so you can go and look at the motor you are buying. 5speed 1j's came with MK3 supras, soarers, chasers, mark II, and maybe some other cars all the way up to 97 so there are lots around.
  3. didnt the LS have 16inch rims? so you could use stock with spacers right?
  4. yea these transmisions start to act funny if you put in atf. i think its synthetic or something...
  5. yea i wouldnt really think about sound either if i were going all out making 600hp on pump gas
  6. do you want the engine or do you want the manual for the car?
  7. toyota is introducing lexus in japan in 2005 this was done to give more of an image to combat othe"names" like bimmer merc, the list goes on. so by now alot of "lexuses" are running around. and i dont know about this 80% profits from the US market. when the 4th gen LS came out in japan there was a 3-4 month waiting list, and most people couldnt get the car with in the end of the year release in 2000.
  8. actaully if the rb is the first gen one it sounds about right if that were a nur spec then i would say that that is blown
  9. i would take a jap v8 over any v8 except one from ferrari, but thats not the casehere. the jap v8 is far superior than anyother in the world maybe not in power but as far as quality goes its the best, theres always ways to make more power but most times the motor gets louder, name another v8 with around the same displacement that puts out about the same power, and is as quiet and smooth as the UZ motors.
  10. yea especialy if you use a carbed one
  11. what wiring?
  12. top fuel drag motors have a life span of 5 seconds, and get rebuilt every run. race motors detuned for street use will last a hell of a lot longer than a normal engine because of the ultra precice tolerences they are built to and the better materials used. a nascar motor detuned to spin only 6-7k rpm would definitely outlast any motor that was met for production use and still have alot of power.
  13. the solara is preatty close
  14. your never too old for a bit more punch, may punch your wallet a bit more though...
  15. you can do anything you want, and puting a 350 in did come up as a joke. so why not go 500?
  16. i hear they are the same but maybe you should ask the dealer or something.
  17. well parts for the sc arent cheap either but may break down less, but none the less they are older cars so bushings and other rubber parts will need changing
  18. you probably got an aristo na motor and thats why the oil pan was different. but why would you put in an na motor in unless your motor now is crapped out? there isnt more power or anything...
  19. i really wouldnt buy a motor from a place like that unless they have a known reputation or i can take a look at the motor my self in person.
  20. hehe thats one expensive shoping cart! i think its too much, try a 97+ spoiler or earlier if thats your thing, but if you really must have a "wing" then get a real one and get a good one like one from Cwest, it will run about a grand but you wont have the fear of it ripping off like cheap ones.
  21. ....cant....stop....watching......video.......soo.....jelous......must......get.....more......money...for...motor....and....project..car....
  22. yea im preaty bias and i would say the sc unless your getting the newest m3 but thats not the case here. its hard to get cars to turn like the 3, i would suggest a nice set of coilovers and sways and you will be cornering flatter and faster. bolt on turbo kits are available and reliability isnt really all that compramized, just you need to pay more attention to oil, temp, pressure and things like that. you can make a good 350hp to the wheels with low boost maybe 8-10lbs? but the kits are about 4-5grand so total cost is a factor but in the end you will have a car thats faster, looks better, and maybe even handles better but it will definitely ride better.
  23. wow i like it!!! 1000cc injectors, and 100 octane probably means your pushing anywhere from 5-maybe 800 hp? and whats this with low boost? thats a joke right?
  24. check your lower controll arm bushings for wear also, its a little hard to see so take a flash light ;)
  25. call up the US blitz distributor and ask when it will be available, the price is going to be about 10 grand
