yeah, for sure I would add a florescent dye and check it out with a blacklight before I replaced anything. I saw the compressor online from some place out of Florida for around $400 or something. I think you also need a new dryer and filter or something in case particles of metal got into the system.
I have a vacuum pump, gauges and 30lbs of R-12 on hand and I have no problem doing the R7R, what I need to know is what I need to do so I don't miss something and compromise the new compressor.
