93 LS400 vs 93 Mercedes.. My LEXUS is better and I think worth more!

How are the disks and breaks? I have to get some new ones.. What brand disks did you buy?

Wow, that is rough! As for the kid or young man... If I would have cought him I would have taped him to a tree till the police came.. He ran into the road and no longer will throw rocks at cars.. Maybe they were good young boys, but I doubt it. Someone up here died a while ago when a rock crashed through the windshield.. Once I remember kids were throwing snow balls as people drove below underpasses. Really shocks the hell out of you.

Hey ladies and gents.. Hope I did not offend any of you with the LS vs ES comments.. I am an LS for ever fan, but I would love to get an ES... When you look at them the ES does look like a mini mee for the LS. Its kewl.. I am not surprised by the speed since the ES is smaller. For sure I am curious to compare ride and comfort of the ES and LS.

Its not for me its for the wife.

More power to the guys with the ES, but I am an LS guy... My wife on the other hand is concerned with the size and power of the LS.. So maybe a minni meeeee or ES will be good. Cheers to LEXUS

Should I do that maintenance for the LS400 also?

Looking at a Long Island 93 ES300 with 75k miles for about 5k. Maybe I should get a 97 or 98, but I am unsure costs and benefits.. Presently I drive the LS and love it, but my wife want a minnniii--meeee (ES300).. So any information or links to past ES threads is greatly appreciated. Cheers

Amazing my LS has this issue.. THIS STINKS! Okay well thats life I will replace wiring..

I see a mini-meee 93 ES300 wtih 80k for $4900 (new tires and very good shape). He says it is dark green so I wonder if its Black Jade (my LS color)? Might offer the guy $4400 one day offer. Any opinions...? The picture will be gone in a few days just think its kewl!

Looking into some mid 90's LS300's... I know a lot about the 400 and see that the 300 is as dependable, but smaller... Can anyone enlighten me more... For the most part are all the 300's of the 90's as good at the 400?

93 is the best... until I buy a 98.... and then a 2000... Cheers... This car looks so freaking good with a coat of wax, tint, wheels and the sun on it. OMG... OHHH MY GOD! The only problem is I have a 22 with a scope... Some piece of shi. cat, soon to be sushi is on my car at night. Okay I can't kill the cat, but I will cover the car.

Sounds like some action! The LS rules.. Only this that stinks is I love it so much I drive instead of fly if place is within 600 miles... So my baby and I have about 14k in 11 months. Now were up to 105k. Anyways I bought last year with some nicks in paint and in need of belts.... Had my mechanic do the belts and water pump for $700 bucks. Recently looked at the control arms and they are good to go.. I think there is a scrunch noise when its cold due to struts/shocks?? Also fixed the dash light issue last week. Finally was able to test when it hit 30 this week. So instead of $1300 circut board at Lexus I paid $15 bucks and did a horrible job soldering, but it worked! Cheers to at least another 100k and 10 years on my first of many Lexus's.. Funny to hear people worried about China cars and lack of Chevy or Ford sales. Go out and get any rental. The Fords, Chevys and other American cars just dont have the quality/comfort of my 93 Toyota/Lexus.

Must be the mounts... Ohh well time to replace. The control arms look great.. How much should that cost to change the mounts?

Thanks... I hear the startup noise, but the engine does not start until I turn key again. This is not that often.. Maybe normal, but I dont remember before I had the belts changed. The engine issue could be the mounts, but I never hear it any other time but startup and only when engine is warm (after running for 10 minutes park and then start 2 minutes later)..

Ever since I had my timing/serp belts changed I get a weird start when engine is warm. Feels like a quick shake and rather loud noise (maybe engine moving on mounts?). It always happens right when the car starts. Also there has been a few times when I turn the starter and there is the initial spin up, but car does not start. So then I turn again and no problems. Any ideas... I am going to talk to my mechanic later today.

Lock unlock does not work for two days... Could be that I washed the engine? Suspect battery or something? What is in this key? Why is there a screw?

Good points monarch... Sometimes I wonder how I would know if things were worse... Since I bought the LS at 90k. Well for sure I am using the Toyota parts, premium fuel and regular check ups.

Hey Lexus owner.. Bring it to a trust worthy mechanic.. Did you get the records? Or a Lexus 100 buck service check? What color? Do you have any pictures? May or may not be something simple...
