  1. All the lighting issues seem to happen when it gets cold. The the summer comes and the cd changer does not work.
  2. That is funny... Good way to generate business.. Copy the best car on the block
  3. Man let me tell you... Its finally awesome out so tonight I was able to look at the Capital building, Washinton Monument and the Potomac River as I cleaned and waxed the LS400. The only problem is I did not have my camera, but let me explain. So as the sun was setting it was awesome... The Black Jade looks awesome. After putting a few scratches (last fall) in my car with the squeege I finally have a great method.... What I do is put water and soap in a bucket... Then I rince LS off and use soft hand cloth to wash car... After spraying wax and wash on the car I then leave it wet.. Take out some good wax and go to town with a small wet terry pad (waxing)... Make sure the terry cloth towels are clean (cleaning)... Good tips for the pre 2000 LS's.. You know the black rail by windshield. Get a black paint pen and color in the chiped paint... I just saw a 95 that looked like crap because of chips by windshield.. Polish the wheels. In the end I kid you not.... There is no freaking water spots and the LS looks like a million dollars... This car looks as good now as it ever has... Can't wait to get my new rotors and show you all the pictures.
  4. Yeah I love the way the deck looks in the dash and dont want to get stock.. I have an SONY MP3 player that would be awesome, but I dont want to remove the stock. Yeah I have to jack up the volume to get just about anything.. IT SUCKS
  5. Trying to use a FM transmitter. The reception in the city is okay at best so I was wondering if one could hard wire to system? Since the CD changer has "ERR" message every time its over 50 degrees... I guess I need to do something.. Anyone get the changer fixed? Or is there a way to install a new CD changer? Thanks

  7. Man it will keep on happening.. More or less after a few minutes it will work. Also if you wack the dash above the indicators it will work. You may have a lighting issue when its cold... I just fixed mine by soldering a few capacitors.. Good luck
  8. Thank god I have a LEXUS... Timing, Serp, Water pump, radiator flush and a few other things less then 700 bucks!! Not to shove in your face, just I hate spending excess money on cars.
  9. Man I dont know I never fixed it.. Might have my mechanic clean the MAF sensor.. Also bought some awesome rotors online... Zinc coating and slots and holes... Brimbo... So I am so excited to get them and take a picture! Cheers
  10. Wow, I hate when my car is in shop for scheduled maintenance. Sounds like Teachers car has some issues. Good luck and a 92 LS400 would not have those problems. I am sure the 2006 are amazing. Good luck
  11. Ahhhhh... I thought you stole mine. Cheers,
  12. Picture is Gettysburg.. Yeah the goof in the picture does ruin the neatness of the LEXUS... Wheels are 17" Melie (or something like that). At first when I rotated I had what felt like off balance wheels, but after 500 miles they feel better. Thanks for compliments.. Black Jade is a great color, but a spec of dirt can always be seen. Ohh well take the good with the bad.
  13. LS400 Disc Player 86120-50360... As summer heats up my cd changer works less and less. I GET THE ERR msg. Well I have three options.. 1. Get a whole new system $1500 2. Get CD repaired? Not sure where? $300 3. Use IPOD in LEXUS. $300 Any advice is greatly appreciated...
  14. Hey SHHHAAA how you doing man? We met at LeXfest? I'm looking into getting an older ES for the wife.. I would like to get the standard 92/92
  15. It seems smart to avoid freaking car washes, but its not that easy.. Example: Working anywhere from NJ to Maine from October to March... Its 10 degrees out.. Mud, slush and crap is everywhere. You drive 20 miles and your recently waxed LEXUS is covered in crap.... So since the valves on outside house hoses is shut off one goes to the car wash. I did it also and it chipped my paint. SUCKS.. I did it again with the spray hose and then a squeegee and I put some nice scratches in my LEXUS..... Also I think I used the orbital buffer with a dirty pad and it scratched the car.... So now it will be going to a detail shop and I will stop the obsession to keep LEXUS clean. My point is up north it's a nightmare if you want your car clean
  16. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Drilled-Bre...1QQcmdZViewItem Are these good?
  17. Hey man I love the background of the pictures.. I guess I know what I am going to do for the future! Next week I will have a picture in front of the white house.. Hopefully I wont get the police after me!
  18. Damn I better slow down.. I am an 75-80 guy getting about 22-23. I also think there is more hills up here in New England. Maybe the cold also has something to do with mileage. Now I have to try 55 just to see...
  19. http://www.jdpa.com/studies_jdpower/pressr...yID=749&CatID=1 http://www.jdpa.com/studies_jdpower/pressr...yID=585&CatID=1 Mercedes is a great car. I am happy with my Lexus, but excited to upgrade to that new LEXUS. 05_AUTO_DEP.bmp
  20. Are these disks, stainless? Or should I follow the process and paint the center piece?
  21. 93 is awesome! Owned for one year and love the car. The comfort, control and feel of the car is awesome! As for the radio. It is more then loud enough for me. I like music and this system is awesome for 93. I play everything from rap, rock to metal. The car is awesome! If you can find a 93 with those miles buy, buy, buy! 22,000 miles??? I think I would pay up to 9k range for that car.. Maybe a bit more...?
