I can't see paying for feed that you cannot pick and choose. There is enough to listen to on regular radio IMHO and the rest of the time it's cd's, Some burnt and some not but at least it is what I want to listen to and it's free. ;) I suppose there are pros and cons but for now It is my way B) Not there way at a cost.

Are you still using the wireless transmitter? That's a good one too!! I have a Delphi wired XM modulator connecting my XM to the car stereo since there aren't really many other options than that for an old car like I have, but I am really, really pleased with. It was only like $30 too. How much $ is xm per month ?

If your sure it is the brakes you need new shim kits. The shim kits should be replaced every other pad change, I replace them every pad change ( just the way I am ).

The lower front mount is probably shot also, Your dogbone will wear out fast if the lower front mount is not replaced. I went through the exact same thing last year on my 93 es.

If you can, Get your money back, There are many black market nav dvd's out there. It's the dvd. The buyer LOOKS legit, So have him/her send you one that is brand new ( no scratches ) sealed with part # on the packaging. Are you sure it is the proper dvd for your year/model ???

There has been chat on this in the es forums, I got chewed out for stating my opinion on the new camry ( because I stated that I would buy a camry before I bought a new es B) ). Look back in the es forums. Anyway, I stand by my statement. I would buy a new camry over an es.

Look for a 94 toyota camry mount, Same as lexus just less expensive. Ebay is full of the mounts you are looking for.

$800.00 is a ripoff, I changed mine in my driveway and took maybe an hour. Find another mechanic.

Timing belt, Water pump while you are getting the timing belt done ( not always neccesary ), Accesory belt, plugs, oil, oil and air filter, tranny fluid ( 2 quarts ), wiper blades, etc... If you buy the parts and have a mechanic install = maybe a grand or so. Others will chime in with more details. Buy it and enjoy !!! Welcome to the club. B)

Paint code #202, It's soft paint. I would clear coat if you are getting it repainted. I have had black cars for over 12 years and I feel your pain. There is no better color for a car than black, But a major pain to maintain. The only real difference with black is that it shows everything. Other colors experience the same amount of wear and crud, chips, etc... but it is less noticable. Therefore people only think that other colors stay cleaner when in fact they are just as filthy as a black car. Should I spend the extra money for toyota/lexus oem paint? Only if you want oem color. Have it painted at a reputable shop with a warranty/guarantee.

I honestly believe that this problem was due to the transmission design and nothing else, since the drive by wire was not changed in the ES350, from what I've been told. Happy belated B-Day And Many Many more. ;)

SK, The truth of the matter is that my father in law will be receiving the cartridge. He asked me to keep my eyes open for one about 3 months ago.
